Former two-time Rizin FF Women’s Super Atomweight Champion Ayaka Hamasaki made a successful return to the cage and earned an impressive victory tonight at Rizin Fighting Federation: “Landmark Vol. 10” in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. The veteran submitted Yu Ri Shim in the 49kg co-main event.

Hamasaki, who was sidelined for most of this year due to an injury, showed no ill effects from her time away and she put forth a solid showing against former Road FC champ Shim. She used a second-round kimura to finish Shim and hopes for a quick turnaround to fight again on New Year’s Eve.

Invicta Fighting Championships remained at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas tonight for its latest all-female card. Invicta FC 58 featured seven fights and was headlined by a strawweight bout between returning former champion Emily “Gordinha” Ducote and Russia’s Yulia Ostroverkhova.

Rin Nakai will seek her 12th straight victory when she next competes on November 23rd at Deep Jewels 47 in Tokyo, Japan. Nakai, who has not lost since March 2016, is set to face off against prospect Haruka “Boss” Suzuki in one of ten fights officially announced for the card this past weekend.

Nakai, who is the reigning Deep Jewels Flyweight Champion, will remain at the higher weight of 58kg for the matchup against Suzuki, who is 2-0 this year. In the Deep Jewels 47 co-main event, two-time interim strawweight title challenger Machi Fukuda meets Suwanan “Amp The Rocket” Boonsorn.

Strawweight Queen of Pancrase Champion Haruka “Salt” Hasegawa made a successful defence of her title with a five-round Unanimous Decision win tonight at Pancrase 347 in Tokyo, Japan. Hasegawa defeated former Queen of Pancrase and current Shooto titleholder Emi “Kamikaze Angel” Fujino.

Pancrase 347 featured three additional women’s matchups. Atomweight Queen of Pancrase Champion Satomi “Sarami” Takano defeated Yerin “Ghost” Hong in a non-title bout. Fumika Watanabe upset Takayo Hashi at flyweight, and Karen outpointed Edna “Trakinas” Oliveira Ajala at 115.

Returning after more than two years away from action, former Rizin FF champion Ayaka Hamasaki is set to compete on November 17th at Rizin Fighting Federation: “Landmark Vol. 10” in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. Hamasaki meets former Road FC champ Yu Ri Shim in a super atomweight bout.

Officials announced the Hamasaki-Shim matchup during tonight’s Rizin FF 48 event. Hamasaki has not fought since she was defeated by Si Woo Park in September 2022, as an injury forced her out of a planned bout early this year. Shim dropped a competitive decision in her March Rizin debut.

Rizin FF Women’s Super Atomweight Champion Seika Izawa remained undefeated with a clear-cut Unanimous Decision victory in non-title action tonight at Rizin Fighting Federation 48 in Saitama, Japan. Izawa defeated former Rizin grand prix winner Kanna Asakura, who retired after the fight.

Izawa constantly worked for a finish throughout the three-round bout, and she threatened with numerous submission attempts, but Asakura escaped each time and she even rallied with stomps late in the fight. Both women reflected on the entertaining matchup when discussing it backstage.
