Five Fights Announced For Deep Jewels 36 Event On March 12Two-division Deep and Deep Jewels champ Saori Oshima will next compete on March 12, 2022 at Deep Jewels 36 in Tokyo, Japan. Oshima, who is coming off of a big victory at Rizin FF 31 in October, will face off against Namiko “Hime” Kawabata in a 49kg super atomweight matchup on the card.

Deep Jewels officials announced the fight earlier this week along with four additional bouts. In one, former Deep Jewels Strawweight Champion Miki Motono will drop down to 49kg to face Mizuki “Nisse” Oshiro. Also at 49kg, veteran contender Hikaru Aono battles 17-year-old prospect Moeri Suda.

Seika Izawa, Si Woo Park Score Huge Wins At Rizin FF 33Undefeated Deep Jewels Strawweight Champion Seika Izawa scored the biggest victory of her young MMA career tonight at Rizin Fighting Federation 33 in Saitama, Japan. Izawa stopped Rizin FF Women’s Super Atomweight Champion Ayaka Hamasaki in round two of their non-title 49kg matchup.

Izawa, who has only been competing professionally in MMA for 14 months, hurt Hamasaki with a series of upkicks in the first round and continued that momentum en route to a second-round TKO stoppage. Also tonight, Si Woo Park upset promotional superstar Rena Kubota in a close bout at 50kg.
