Three additional fights have been announced for the upcoming Deep Jewels 3 card on February 16th in Tokyo, Japan. Former Jewels Featherweight Queen Champion Naho “Sugi Rock” Sugiyama looks for her second straight win when she takes on Satomi “Sarami” Takano in a featured matchup.
In other bouts announced today, 41-fight veteran Masako Yoshida takes on Miyoko Kusaka, and grappling specialist Yuko “Amiba” Oya faces the returning Mamiko Mizoguchi. The event will be headlined by a Deep Jewels Lightweight Championship bout between Mizuki Inoue and Emi Tomimatsu.

History was made once again earlier this week with the announcement that Season 20 of The Ultimate Fighter reality show competition will feature an all-female strawweight cast in May 2014. The winner of TUF 20 will then be crowned as the first UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion at 115 pounds.
UFC President Dana White confirmed the news on Wednesday, and a total of 11 of the show’s 16 participants have been revealed. All 11, including reigning strawweight champion Carla “Cookie Monster” Esparza, make the move over from their former home at Invicta Fighting Championships.

Brazil’s long-running Jungle Fight promotion will crown its first women’s bantamweight champion when highly-touted prospect Larissa Moreira Pacheco faces devastating knockout artist Irene Aldana at Jungle Fight 63. The event is set to take place on December 21st in Belém, Pará, Brazil.
Jungle Fight officials announced the championship fight earlier this week. Moreira has finished all eight of her professional opponents to date and she has only been out of the first round twice. Mexico’s Aldana captured the Xtreme Kombat women’s bantamweight title with two quick wins in October.

Bantamweight superstar Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm once again showcased her world-renowned striking skills in victory tonight at Fresquez Productions: “Havoc” in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The ex-boxing champ ran her MMA record to 6-0 with a win over Angela “Hollywood” Hayes.
Holm picked Hayes apart with a variety of kicks and punching combinations throughout the fight, and she proved that she was not afraid of Hayes’s ground game by taking the action to the mat on multiple occasions. Holm’s dominance made it easy for the judges, who handed her a clear-cut win.
