Larissa Moreira Pacheco Faces Irene Aldana At Jungle Fight 63Brazil’s long-running Jungle Fight promotion will crown its first women’s bantamweight champion when highly-touted prospect Larissa Moreira Pacheco faces devastating knockout artist Irene Aldana at Jungle Fight 63. The event is set to take place on December 21st in Belém, Pará, Brazil.

Jungle Fight officials announced the championship fight earlier this week. Moreira has finished all eight of her professional opponents to date and she has only been out of the first round twice. Mexico’s Aldana captured the Xtreme Kombat women’s bantamweight title with two quick wins in October.

At 19 years of age, Pacheco (8-0-0) is already one of the fastest-rising female stars in Brazil today. She debuted in March 2012 and scored four first-round finishes before the end of the year. After earning three impressive submission wins in 2013, Pacheco made her Jungle Fight debut in her most recent fight in October and stopped Dinha Wollstaein with punches in just 36 seconds. With a prestigious title now in sight, a victory later this month would likely propel Pacheco on to the UFC.

In just three short fights, Aldana (3-0-0) has quickly established herself as one of the most dangerous female strikers in mixed martial arts today. After making her debut with a 15-second knockout win in October 2012, Aldana took a one-year hiatus from MMA while she continued to develop her overall game. At Xtreme Kombat 21 on October 12th, Aldana knocked out two opponents in highlight-reel fashion in a combined time of 63 seconds to capture the promotion’s first women’s bantamweight title.

Jungle Fight 63 takes place on December 21st in Belém, Pará, Brazil. The title fight between Pacheco and Aldana will be contested at 61 kilograms, or 132 pounds.
