Toby Imada, Reyna Córdoba Win At FiteNite 14Two-time Bellator tournament finalist Toby Imada got back on the winning track on Monday at FiteNite 14 in Costa Rica. The popular lightweight defeated Ludwing “El Perro” Salazar with a second-round armbar in the night’s main event. The win was Imada’s 12th in his last 14 bouts.

Also on the MMA portion of the card, undefeated judoka Reyna Córdoba moved her mixed martial arts record to 4-0 with a Unanimous Decision win over tough veteran Molly “The Maulinator” Helsel. Scores were 29-28 across the board for Córdoba, who picked up her biggest victory to date.

Alexis Davis Submits Tonya Evinger Again, Retains Title At Raging Wolf 10Raging Wolf Women’s Flyweight Champion Alexis Davis rebounded from her non-title loss to Elaina Maxwell in August with a quick submission victory tonight. The jiu-jitsu ace defeated Tonya Evinger for the second time with a first-round rear-naked choke in the main event of Raging Wolf 10.

Davis previously submitted Evinger in a May title fight, also with a rear-naked choke, but Evinger put on a very good showing in the bout despite taking the fight on very short notice. In the rematch, Davis showed exactly why she is the reigning champion and forced Evinger to submit in just 85 seconds.

Megumi Fujii Addresses Bellator Loss, FutureOn October 28th at Bellator 34, something happened that had never taken place before: Megumi Fujii competed in a mixed martial arts bout and her hand was not raised in victory at its conclusion. Fujii was upset by Zoila Frausto, who became Bellator 115-Pound Women’s Champion.

Jan Finney vs Liz Carmouche Planned For November 19thA 135-pound women’s bout between tough veteran Jan “Cuddles” Finney and unbeaten prospect Liz “Girl-Rilla” Carmouche is in the works for the Strikeforce Challengers 12 card on November 19th.
