Alexis Davis Submits Tonya Evinger Again, Retains Title At Raging Wolf 10Raging Wolf Women’s Flyweight Champion Alexis Davis rebounded from her non-title loss to Elaina Maxwell in August with a quick submission victory tonight. The jiu-jitsu ace defeated Tonya Evinger for the second time with a first-round rear-naked choke in the main event of Raging Wolf 10.

Davis previously submitted Evinger in a May title fight, also with a rear-naked choke, but Evinger put on a very good showing in the bout despite taking the fight on very short notice. In the rematch, Davis showed exactly why she is the reigning champion and forced Evinger to submit in just 85 seconds.

Evinger scored with hard punches early in the fight and remained the aggressor as she looked to get revenge for her loss to Davis in May. The fighters continued to trade strikes and Evinger got the better of it before taking the fight to the mat. Once she did, however, it took mere seconds for Davis to scramble and transition to back control. She quickly secured a rear-naked choke that forced Evinger to submit.

As in the pair’s first meeting, Evinger looked very good until succumbing to the choke, but Davis once again found a way to win and retained her 135-pound title in the process.

Winner: Alexis Davis by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 1:25 of round one. She improves to 9-4-0 and remains the Raging Wolf Women’s Flyweight Champion.
