The semi-final matchups in the Deep Jewels Flyweight Grand Prix are now official for Deep Jewels 37, which takes place on May 8th at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. In one of two semi-finals, determined by a random draw conducted earlier this week, Rin Nakai will face Tae “Te-a” Murayama.
The second semi-final bout pits promotional veteran Shizuka Sugiyama against Aoi Kuriyama, and the winners of the semi-finals will then face off later in the night to crown the first Deep Jewels Flyweight Champion. The Deep Jewels 37 card will also feature two additional championship fights.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship travelled to VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida tonight for UFC 273: “Volkanovski vs Korean Zombie.” In the main event, UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander “The Great” Volkanovski faced challenger “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung.

A third title fight has been added to the stacked Deep Jewels 37 card, which takes place on May 8th at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Deep Jewels Atomweight Champion Saori Oshima defends against 17-year-old rising star Moeri Suda, who looks to become the promotion’s youngest champion.
Deep Jewels officials announced the championship fight today. Both fighters competed two weeks ago at Deep Jewels 36, with very different outcomes. Oshima suffered a decision loss to Namiko “Hime” Kawabata in a non-title 49kg bout, while Suda quickly finished former title challenger Hikaru Aono.

A second women’s super atomweight matchup has been added to the Rizin Fighting Federation 35 card on April 17th in Chofu, Tokyo, Japan. Former title challenger Kanna Asakura looks to halt a two-fight losing skid when she welcomes Shooto champion Satomi “Sarami” Takano to the promotion.
Rizin FF officials announced the 49kg bout today. Asakura is coming off of an upset loss to Deep Jewels Atomweight Champion Saori Oshima at Rizin FF 31 in October. Takano brings a three-fight winning streak into her Rizin FF debut and captured the 110-pound Shooto women’s title in November.
