Weigh-ins for the inaugural Invicta Fighting Championships event took place today at Hotel Phillips in Kansas City, Missouri. Main event fighters Marloes “Rumina” Coenen and Romy Ruyssen face off in a 145-pound rematch on the all-female card, which also features ten additional women’s bouts.

Brazilian standouts Carina “Beauty But The Beast” Damm and Claudia “Claudinha” Gadelha are set to face off in a featured women’s matchup at Legacy Fighting Championship 13 on August 17th at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. Legacy FC officials announced the bout today.

Damm has not fought since earning a first-round submission victory in July. She was set to face Bellator champ Zoila “The Warrior Princess” Gurgel in November, but the bout was scrapped when Gurgel tore her ACL. Gadelha took a Split Decision win over Valérie Létourneau earlier this month.

A 105-pound title fight between Stephanie “Macaquinha” Frausto and Diana “Dynamite” Rael headlines the inaugural Women’s Fighting Championship event on May 12th in Casper, Wyoming. MMARising.com confirmed details of the five-round title tilt with a source close to the negotiations tonight.

The all-female fight card also features a rematch between rivals Stephanie “The Scrapper” Skinner and Brittany Nipper, who first faced off in February. Skinner stopped Nipper late in the second round of the action-packed Fight of the Night battle and looks for her second straight win in the rematch.

2011 Shoot Boxing Girls S-Cup Champion Erika Kamimura and tournament runner-up Seo Hee Ham will face off in a rematch under kickboxing rules at Rise 88 on June 2nd in Tokyo, Japan. Rise officials announced the bout on Tuesday. The winner moves on to challenge Rise Queen Rena Kubota.

Kamimura and Ham first met under shoot boxing rules in the finals of the 2011 Girls S-Cup this past August. Down on the scorecards, Kamimura scored a knockdown in the third and final round that proved to be enough to give her a razor-thin Unanimous Decision victory and the Girls S-Cup title.

A much-anticipated UFC Middleweight Championship rematch between Anderson “The Spider” Silva and Chael Sonnen will now take place at UFC 148 on July 7th in Las Vegas. UFC President Dana White confirmed the date change today during a press conference with both fighters in Brazil.

Silva and Sonnen were initially slated to face off at UFC 147 on June 23rd in Rio de Janeiro, but that card will now be moved to a new location in Brazil. The middleweight title fight is expected to headline the UFC 148 card, which also features a trilogy bout between Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber.

The UFC 146 all-heavyweight main card underwent a pair of major changes this past weekend. UFC President Dana White has confirmed that former heavyweight champion Frank Mir will step in to challenge current titleholder Junior “Cigano” dos Santos on the May 26th card in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The late change came about after dos Santos’s original opponent, former Strikeforce champ Alistair Overeem, tested positive for severely elevated testosterone levels on March 27th during a random pre-fight drug screening. Cain Velasquez, who was to face Mir, now battles Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship travelled to Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia tonight for UFC 145: “Jones vs Evans.” The event was headlined by a long-awaited UFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout between Jon “Bones” Jones and former training partner “Suga” Rashad Evans.
