There are so many new pieces of my life as an MMA fighter; I am not really sure where to begin this blog. I recently moved from St. Louis to the Quad Cities and, with that, changed my camps and management. In addition, this year, women finally have a legitimate home with the launch of Invicta FC.
I have been with Steve Berger from the beginning of my fight career and his gym will always feel like home. It is my strong held belief that Steve’s faith in me pushed me to succeed to my current status. Steve remains a very close friend and is still involved in my training as a coach and an advisor.

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will look to end a two-fight losing skid when he faces Brazilian standout Glover Teixeira at UFC 153 on October 13th in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. UFC officials confirmed plans for the bout today after an initial report from Globo.
Jackson sports a 4-3 record inside the Octagon since losing his UFC title to Forrest Griffin in July 2008 and recent disagreements between Jackson and UFC management have left his future with the promotion in doubt. Teixeira made a successful UFC debut by destroying Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 146.

An illness has forced Russia’s Milana Dudieva out of her bantamweight bout with Strikeforce veteran Amanda “Lioness of the Ring” Nunes at Invicta Fighting Championships 2 on July 28th in Kansas City, Kansas. Leslie “The Peacemaker” Smith will now face off with Nunes on the main card.
The change was officially announced by the promotion earlier today. Smith engaged in a spirited Fight of the Night battle with Kaitlin Young at Invicta FC 1 in April that ended in a Split Draw. Nunes makes her promotional debut in the fight and looks to rebound from only the second loss of her pro career.

A planned lightweight bout between Yana “Foxy” Kunitskaya and Danielle “The Curse” West was scrapped along with the rest of the Starlight Events: “Gladiator World Cup 2012” card on Friday night in Marbella, Spain after promoters allegedly fled with the event money prior to the show.
The mixed K-1 and MMA charity fundraising event had been scheduled to feature a kickboxing tournament and a number of mixed martial arts bouts. According to West, one promoter has since been jailed, while the second promoter is among those who is still owed money from the failed event.

Reign Training Center’s Rachael Cummins made a successful drop down to the flyweight division on Friday night at Tuff-N-Uff: “Festibrawl 2” in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cummins needed just 31 seconds to submit Chrissy Lim to advance to the finals of the Tuff-N-Uff 125-pound women’s tournament.
In the second 125-pound tournament semi-final, Christine “La Fiera” Ferea took a Unanimous Decision win over Kristi “Violencia” Lopez. Meanwhile, Veronica “The Heartbreaker” Rothenhausler earned her second straight five-second KO by defeating Ashlee Evans-Smith for the 145-pound belt.
