Pacific Xtreme Combat will stage its first pro female mixed martial arts bout on March 8th at PXC 36 in Mangilao, Guam, when Invicta FC competitor Kaiyana Rain takes on Hawaiian prospect Kailin Curran. MMARising.com confirmed plans for the 115-pound bout with the promotion on Friday.
The Rain-Curran bout is the first in a series of female fights that PXC hopes to stage in the coming year. Rain, a former three-time amateur champion, made her pro debut at Invicta FC 3 in October. Curran now competes as a professional for the first time following a successful run as an amateur.

Cage Combat champ Paulina “Firefox” Granados makes her pro debut on March 23rd at Xtreme Combat Productions and ABG Promotions: “Rocks Extreme MMA 2” in Corpus Christi, Texas. Granados has agreed to face off against Sarah “The Midget” Lagerstrom in an atomweight matchup.
MMARising.com confirmed plans for the 105-pound bout with sources close to the negotiations this week. Granados is unbeaten in her MMA career and captured the Cage Combat title in December. Lagerstrom, a talented striker from Washington, turns pro five weeks before she faces Granados in Texas.

On January 5th, bantamweight standout Sarah “The Monster” D’Alelio took another big step towards the top of the 135-pound women’s division. The jiu-jitsu specialist dominated fellow Strikeforce veteran Amanda “Lioness of the Ring” Nunes in a featured bout at Invicta Fighting Championships 4.
D’Alelio has won three of her four fights for Invicta FC and is the only fighter to have competed on each of the all-female promotion’s four cards to date. UFC Lightweight Champion “Smooth” Benson Henderson will make the next defence of his title against final Strikeforce 155-pound king Gilbert “El Niño” Melendez at UFC on FOX 7. The main event championship bout is set to take place on April 20th at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
Also confirmed for the UFC on FOX 7 card is a rescheduled bout between Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix winner Daniel Cormier and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir. Both matchups were initially confirmed by Yahoo! Sports and formally announced by UFC officials earlier today.

An atomweight bout between veteran Lacey “The Ladie” Schuckman and once-beaten prospect Darla “Train Wreck” Harris has been added to Sparta Combat League: “Thunderdome” on February 9th in Denver, Colorado. The promotion officially revealed plans for the 105-pound matchup on Sunday.
Schuckman made two appearances for Invicta FC this past year, including in a short-notice bout against unbeaten Jewels champion Ayaka Hamasaki, but suffered defeats in a pair of competitive matchups. Harris also looks to get herself back on track after falling to Diana “Dynamite” Rael in October.
