Deep Jewels returned to New Pier Hall in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday for its latest all-female fight card. Deep Jewels 43 was headlined by an interim strawweight title rematch between unbeaten rising stars Arisa Matsuda and Machi Fukuda, who first clashed as amateur fighters two years ago.

Two of the top strawweights on the Deep Jewels roster will compete for the promotion’s interim 115-pound title on November 23rd at Deep Jewels 43 in Tokyo, Japan. Arisa Matsuda and Machi Fukuda, who faced each other as amateur fighters in December 2021, will rematch for the championship.

The interim title bout was one of 12 fights that were officially announced for the card today. In the 49kg co-main event, highly-touted teen prospect Moeri Suda squares off against Saki Kitamura. Both fighters are coming off of victories this past month during the 10th anniversary Deep Jewels 42 event.

The lineup is now complete for the inaugural four-woman Atomweight Queen of Pancrase title tournament, which begins on December 24th at Pancrase 340 in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. Former Valkyrie and Deep Jewels champ “V.V” Mei Yamaguchi was announced as the final participant today.

Yamaguchi has been competing professionally in MMA for more than 16 years, and she is one of Japan’s most accomplished female fighters in the sport’s history. In 2011, Yamaguchi was a part of Pancrase’s first female main event, and she now makes her return in hopes of winning another title.

Deep returned to the famed Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan with a stacked fight card tonight including three “Deep vs Black Combat” double-title bouts. The Deep: “115 Impact” event was headlined by a heavyweight showdown between Deep champion Ryo Sakai and Hae Jun “The Big Guy” Yang.

In the co-main event, Juri “Iron Spider” Ohara faced Song Ha “Pierrot” Lee in a lightweight title versus title fight. In other double-title bouts on the card, Koichi Ishizuka met Soo Young “U-Jitsu” Yoo at bantamweight and Saori Oshima took on Si Yoon Park in a women’s atomweight matchup.

Pancrase is set to crown its inaugural Atomweight Queen of Pancrase Champion in a four-woman tournament that kicks off on December 24th at Pancrase 340 in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. The tournament was officially announced during a press conference this afternoon in Shinjuku.

Pancrase Chief Yasushi Sakamoto was accompanied by three tournament participants – Satomi “Sarami” Takano, Sayako Fujita and Zenny “Lady Gogo” Huang – at the press conference, where it was also revealed that the plan is to bring in a foreign fighter as the fourth and final competitor.

Aya Murakami scored one of her biggest victories to date and captured her first championship title tonight at Deep Jewels 42: “10th Anniversary” in Tokyo, Japan. The skilled grappler outpointed Suwanan “Amp The Rocket” Boonsorn to win the 44kg Deep Jewels Microweight Championship.

Another key winner on the Deep Jewels 42 card was recent Rizin FF title challenger Si Woo “Korean Queen Bee” Park, who took a clear Unanimous Decision victory over Namiko “Hime” Kawabata in the super atomweight co-main event. Park has now earned victories in five of her past six fights.

Rizin FF Women’s Super Atomweight Champion Seika Izawa needed just 64 seconds to retain her title tonight at Rizin Fighting Federation: “Super Rizin 2” in Saitama, Japan. Izawa finished challenger Claire Lopez with a tight ninja choke in one of her most impressive performances thus far.

Izawa, whose previous appearance for Rizin ended in a contentious Split Decision victory over Si Woo Park on New Year’s Eve, was back to her dominant self tonight. The undefeated 25-year-old has now secured finishes in four of her six Rizin FF wins, with tonight’s being her quickest to date.
