Tim Hague Replaces Chad Corvin On UFC 113 UndercardJust over two months after he was cut from the UFC, Canadian heavyweight Tim “The Thrashing Machine” Hague has re-signed with the promotion. He will replace Chad Corvin in a bout with Joey “The Mexicutioner” Beltran at UFC 113 in Montréal. MMAjunkie.com first reported on the change today.

Corvin’s medical paperwork was reportedly not accepted by the Québec Athletic Commission, forcing him off of the card. Hague will step in on little more than two weeks’ notice to return to the UFC after a pair of bouts in The Fight Club promotion were cancelled in March.

Frankie Edgar vs BJ Penn 2 Planned For UFC 118Following his upset victory over former UFC Lightweight Champion BJ Penn at UFC 112, Frankie “The Answer” Edgar may square off with “The Prodigy” for a second time in his first title defence at UFC 118. Fighters Only Magazine is reporting that the fight is in the works for the August 28th event in Boston, Massachusetts.

Edgar emerged victorious with a hard-fought but contentious Unanimous Decision win over Penn on April 10th in a bout where judge Doug Crosby controversially scored all five rounds for the challenger.

Doerksen competed this past Friday and picked up a hard-fought decision win over Chad Herrick at KOTC: “Bad Boys 2,” which aired live on HDNet.

Doerksen has fought six times for the UFC, but holds just a single win inside the Octagon. A victory over the talented and charismatic Lawlor could earn Doerksen one final run at contendership in the stacked division.

Catia Vitoria Upsets Elena Reid For SNMMA TitleAfter taking the fight on just two days’ notice, Canadian Muay Thai standout Catia “Cat Woman” Vitoria shocked many by upsetting Elena “Babydoll” Reid for the Sovereign Nations MMA Women’s Flyweight Championship at Playboy Fight Night 4 on Saturday. Vitoria displayed excellent striking and stopped the former two-time boxing champion in the third round.
