Ukrainian prospect Maryna “The Iron Woman” Moroz rebounded from the first loss of her pro career with a hard-fought victory tonight at UFC Fight Night 86: “Rothwell vs dos Santos” in Zagreb, Croatia. Moroz outpointed Cristina “Barbie” Stanciu in a back-and-forth strawweight bout on the card.

Moroz found herself in early danger when Stanciu threatened with a series of submission attempts in the opening round, but Moroz stayed calm and Stanciu, a former flyweight, slowed down in the final ten minutes. The bout went to the scorecards and Moroz took home a Unanimous Decision win.

Former UFC title challenger “Alpha” Cat Zingano makes her long-awaited return to the cage on July 9th at UFC 200: “Diaz vs McGregor 2” in Las Vegas, Nevada. Zingano meets TUF 18 winner Julianna “The Venezuelan Vixen” Peña in what may prove to be a bantamweight title eliminator.

UFC officials confirmed the matchup today following multiple reports during the past week. Zingano has not fought since February 2015 when she was submitted by then-champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey in 14 seconds at UFC 184. Peña has won all three UFC bouts including two inside the distance.

Former Strikeforce champ Marloes “Rumina” Coenen hopes to add another title to her collection when she competes on May 20th at Bellator 155: “Carvalho vs Manhoef” in Boise, Idaho. Coenen battles Julia “The Jewel” Budd for the inaugural Bellator Women’s Featherweight Championship.

Bleacher Report first reported on plans for the title fight, which will be a part of the non-televised Bellator 155 preliminary card. Coenen and Budd were initially set to meet in late 2014.
