Despite a lengthy hiatus from competition and a late change in opponent, Gadelha earned a Split Decision victory over Valérie “Trouble” Létourneau in her most recent bout on April 20th in Gatineau, Québec. She now faces off against Coutino, who makes her first appearance since January 2011.

Shoot Boxing Japan Women’s Flyweight Champion Ai Takahashi earned a spot in the finals of the “2012 Shoot Boxing Girls S-Cup 53.5” tournament tonight at Shoot Boxing 2012: “Road To S-Cup, Act.3” in Tokyo, Japan. Takahashi defeated Rio Kamikaze in the second of two semi-final bouts.
The convincing victory sets up a rematch between Takahashi and teen prospect Mizuki Inoue in the Girls S-Cup 53.5 final on August 25th. Inoue upset Takahashi in a non-title bout on February 5th and advanced to the tournament final with a third-round stoppage win over Mina in April.

2011 Shoot Boxing Girls S-Cup Champion Erika Kamimura earned her second victory over South Korean rival Seo Hee Ham on Saturday night at Rise 88 in Tokyo, Japan. Kamimura defeated Ham by Unanimous Decision after three rounds in a high-paced matchup under kickboxing rules.
Kamimura and Ham initially faced off in a shoot boxing match as part of the 2011 Girls S-Cup in August. Ham dominated early on, but Kamimura rallied late for a razor-thin victory. The rematch was more decisive and Kamimura now moves on to a third bout with Rise Queen Champion Rena Kubota.

England’s top female fighter, Rosi “The Surgeon” Sexton, had all she could handle but emerged victorious at Cage Warriors Fighting Championship 47 tonight in Dublin, Ireland. Sexton earned a competitive Unanimous Decision win over hometown star Aisling “Ais The Bash” Daly after three rounds.
Tonight’s bout between Sexton and Daly was the second of two semi-final matchups in the inaugural CWFC 125-pound women’s tournament. Sexton now advances on to face German standout Sheila “The German Tank” Gaff in the tournament final later this year, where a champion will be crowned.

A 110-pound title bout between veteran submission grappler Lisa Ellis and Muay Thai practitioner Amy “Lil’ Dynamite” Davis is in the works for United Combat Sports: “Caged Combat 6” on July 14th in Grand Ronde, Oregon. The targeted matchup was announced by Davis on Friday night.
Both fighters competed on the inaugural Invicta Fighting Championships card in April. Ellis engaged in a back-and-forth battle with Jessica Penne before succumbing to strikes midway through round three. Davis submitted Nicdali “The Night Queen” Rivera-Calanoc with a second-round Kimura.
