Saya Ito, J-Girls Champ Momi Draw At Muaylok 2014: 2nd15-year-old “Muay Thai Genius” Saya Ito and reigning J-Girls Mini Flyweight Champion Momi engaged in an action-packed back-and-forth battle on Sunday night at Muaylok 2014: 2nd in Tokyo, Japan. The featured striking matchup ended in a competitive Majority Draw after three close rounds.

Ito has faced highly skilled opponents in each of her bouts this year since turning pro in April following a 93-fight amateur career. She landed strong kicks throughout the bout with Momi and controlled the clinch battles with knees, but Momi’s quick combinations evened the bout on the scorecards.

Holly Holm Signs With The UFC, Fall Debut PossibleLegacy FC women’s champion Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm has at last signed a deal to compete for the world’s largest mixed martial arts organisation. The world-renowned former boxing superstar’s UFC signing was announced on Thursday and she may debut as early as this fall.

Talks between Holm’s manager and UFC brass broke down earlier this year when the two sides could not come to an agreement. However, with few title challengers remaining for UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey, the UFC now looks to Holm as a threat to Rousey’s crown.

Sarah Moras Defeats Alexis Dufresne At TUF 19 Finale In VegasTUF 18 semi-finalist Sarah “Cheesecake” Moras earned a hard-fought win in her official Octagon debut tonight at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale in Las Vegas, Nevada. Moras outpointed Alexis “Sneaky Zebra” Dufresne, who missed weight by eight pounds for the planned bantamweight bout.

Moras was active with strikes and submission attempts throughout the fight, even when she was forced to work from her back. Dufresne landed ground and pound in the final round and avoided more of Moras’s submissions, but Moras’s offence in the opening ten minutes propelled her to a close victory.
