Saya Ito vs Haru Tajima Title Rematch Booked For Tenkaichi 7315-year-old “Muay Thai Genius” Saya Ito and former J-Girls Mini Flyweight Champion Haru “Taj Mahal” Tajima are set to face off for a second time on September 7th at Tenkaichi 73 in Koza, Okinawa, Japan. Ito and Tajima will meet in a rematch for the WPMF Japan Women’s Pinweight Championship.

Tenkaichi officials announced plans for the fight this week. Ito and Tajima initially met in May at Tenkaichi 71 where Tajima, who was competing for the first time since late 2010, prevailed via a razor-thin Unanimous Decision. Ito now looks to avenge the close loss and capture another title next month.

Bellator Signs Marloes Coenen & Julia Budd, Bout Set For Late 2014Under the leadership of former Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker and respected matchmaker Rich Chou, Bellator is set to bring female fighters back to its roster. Former Invicta FC featherweight stars Marloes “Rumina” Coenen and Julia “The Jewel” Budd have both signed with Bellator for 2014 debuts.

Bellator officials announced the signings today and also revealed plans for Coenen and Budd to face each other later this year on a Spike-televised card. Coenen has not fought since July 2013 when she was stopped again by Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino. Budd won all four of her Invicta FC bouts.

Sylvie Von Duuglas-Ittu Defeats Saya Ito At Queen's Cup In ThailandFighting for the second time in three days, Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu scored one of the biggest wins of her Muay Thai career on Tuesday night at the prestigious Queen’s Cup in Bangkok, Thailand. Von Duuglas-Ittu defeated 15-year-old “Muay Thai Genius” Saya Ito in a five-round bout on the card.

Ito got off to a strong start on Tuesday, but von Duuglas-Ittu weathered the early storm from the Japanese star and Ito began to slow down as the fight progressed. Von Duuglas-Ittu took advantage by landing a series of knees in the clinch in rounds four and five en route to an impressive decision victory.

Seo Hee Ham vs Alyona Rassohyna Announced For Road FC 18Deep Jewels Featherweight Champion Seo Hee Ham will compete at home for the second time this year when she takes on Ukrainian prospect Alyona Rassohyna at Road Fighting Championship 18 on August 30th in Seoul, South Korea. The atomweight matchup was announced this past weekend.

Ham made her Road FC debut in April and posted a Unanimous Decision win over teen prospect Shino VanHoose in an entertaining bout. Rassohyna had a five-fight winning streak snapped by Invicta FC title contender Katja “Killer Bunny” Kankaanpää in May and now makes her atomweight debut.

Jin Tang Set To Face Marina Moroz At Kunlun Fight 8China’s top female MMA fighter, Jin “The Fighting Rose” Tang, looks for her fifth straight victory when she faces off against unbeaten Ukrainian prospect Marina Moroz at Kunlun Fight 8. The flyweight fight is set to take place on August 24th at the Xining Railway Station in Xining, Qinghai, China.

Kunlun Fight officials announced the bout this past weekend. Tang has won all three of her fights for the promotion this year and captured the Kunlun Fight women’s flyweight title in February. Moroz made a successful Kunlun Fight debut in June by upsetting highly-touted rising star Feier Huang.
