Former Invicta FC atomweight ace Michelle “The Karate Hottie” Waterson picked up her biggest strawweight victory to date in her much-anticipated UFC debut tonight at The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale in Las Vegas, Nevada. Waterson submitted Angela “Your Majesty” Magana in the third round.
Tonight’s victory was a crucial one for Waterson, who moved back up to 115 pounds for the first time since April 2010. She survived an early armbar scare from Magana and took control of the ground battles as the fight progressed before ultimately finishing Magana with a rear-naked choke.

Top strawweight prospect Jamie Moyle took another step towards title contention with a hard-fought Split Decision win on Thursday night at Invicta Fighting Championships 13 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Moyle edged out Amy “The Resurrection” Cadwell Montenegro in Thursday’s Fight of the Night.
Moyle and Montenegro each pocketed an extra $1500 for their spirited bout, but they were not the only bonus winners on Thursday. Featherweight ace Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino and Amber Leibrock both earned Performance of the Night honours of $1000 apiece for their crushing first-round knockouts.
