Hometown star Rosi “The Surgeon” Sexton looks for her first UFC win when she returns to the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 30: “Bisping vs Munoz” on October 26th in Manchester, England. Sexton will face off against Brazil’s Jéssica “Bate Estaca” Andrade in a bantamweight bout on the card.

Sexton announced the fight today. She competes in her home country for the first time since February 2011 when she defeated Roxanne “The Happy Warrior” Modafferi at Cage Warriors Fighting Championship 40. Andrade also seeks her first Octagon win after dropping her UFC debut in July.

Sexton (13-3-0) rebounded from a June 2010 loss in Bellator with three straight wins under the Cage Warriors banner, and she had planned to compete for the promotion’s inaugural women’s flyweight title this past October. When opponent Sheila “The German Tank” Gaff withdrew from the title tilt, Sexton contemplated retirement, but she ultimately decided to move up to bantamweight and signed with the UFC earlier this year. In her debut at UFC 161 in June, Sexton put on a strong performance against jiu-jitsu ace Alexis “Ally-Gator” Davis, but dropped a narrow decision to the Canadian.

Andrade (9-3-0) has maintained an extremely active fighting schedule since her September 2011 pro MMA debut. The 21-year-old won eight of her first ten fights, with her lone defeats coming against top prospect Kinberly Novaes and Invicta FC contender Jennifer Maia. On April 14th, Andrade travelled to Russia to face local favourite Milana Dudieva at ProFC 47. Surprising some, Andrade dominated the fight and submitted Dudieva with her signature guillotine choke late in round two. She looks to return to her winning ways after suffering a TKO loss to Liz “Girl-Rilla” Carouche at UFC on FOX 8.

UFC Fight Night 30: Bisping vs Munoz” is set for October 26th at Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, England. The event is headlined by a middleweight bout between Michael “The Count” Bisping and “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” Mark Munoz.
