The world’s top-ranked 125-pound female fighter has returned to Bellator Fighting Championships. Company officials confirmed last night that Rosi Sexton has re-signed with the promotion and MMAjunkie.com has since reported that Sexton will be part of the 115-pound Bellator women’s tournament later this year.

MMARising.com first confirmed plans to feature the British standout in the eight-woman tournament earlier this month. Due to her return to Bellator, Sexton will no longer compete at CWFC 37 tomorrow.

Sexton (10-1-0) was originally scheduled to face Angela Magana on the Cage Warriors Fighting Championship 37: “Right To Fight” card this Saturday in Manchester, England, but Magana was forced to withdraw and was replaced by Japanese contender Emi Fujino. However, while no official date has been set for Sexton’s Bellator return, her re-signing with the promotion forced the cancellation of the CWFC bout. Cage Warriors will move forward with their event, but Sexton will no longer compete.

Cage Warriors matchmaker Ian Dean, who also serves as Sexton’s manager, was unable to comment on the fight’s cancellation, but the decision to remove Sexton from the CWFC card will ensure that Sexton’s next fight will happen inside the confines of a Bellator cage.
