Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz was arrested earlier this morning on charges of felony domestic violence that allegedly involves his girlfriend, Jenna Jameson. TMZ.com first reported on the developing story, which stems from a 911 call from Jameson’s father that cited a disturbance at Tito and Jenna’s Huntington Beach, California home.

The celebrity news site has since posted a video of a tearful Jameson, who states that she will be pressing charges against Ortiz. UFC President Dana White told TMZ that the fighter may be fired if proven guilty.

Jameson, who is the mother of twin girls with Ortiz but is not married to him, appeared dishevelled as she left the couple’s home with her father. Stating that she “would be okay” and that her children are fine, an emotional Jameson refused to offer further comments on the situation but did say that Ortiz was now behind bars. She was shown wearing large black sunglasses in a brief TMZ video, but reportedly has “visible injuries” and was later photographed with a large bandage on her right arm. Ortiz has been the subject of speculation for weeks stemming from issues that forced him off of the filming of TUF 11.

Ortiz, who was taken to the Huntington Beach Police Department following his arrest, will be able to post bond following an arraignment. The district attorney will then decide on how to proceed next and whether charges will be laid. The embattled former champion has experienced a tumultuous career and is one of the most talked-about fighters in UFC history, but a situation of this magnitude could spell the end of his career in the UFC, if not in all of MMA. He has not won a mixed martial arts fight in well over three years and has struggled to regain the success that he once enjoyed.

When asked, White told TMZ that, “We’re gonna be fair, but we could cut him.” He added, “Other than going on a killing spree, being accused of domestic violence is the worst thing you can have going for you.” He and Ortiz have engaged in a love-hate relationship throughout their tenure with the company, but the UFC boss had stated as recently as Saturday that the two were still on good terms and that “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” was still with the promotion. Unfortunately, Ortiz may have lived up to his moniker and his alleged actions could have serious consequences.
