“Loopy” Lupita Godinez vs Elise Reed

Round 1:
Godinez closed the distance with lead left hooks and then took Reed’s back in a standing clinch. She pulled Reed down to the mat and wound up on top in Reed’s half-guard. Reed quickly worked back to her feet and broke free from a clinch. Godinez floored her with a lead left hook and then jumped on Reed’s back. She attempted a rear-naked choke and Reed ducked her chin to defend. She broke Godinez’s grip once, but Godinez transitioned from a rear-naked choke to a deep armbar. Reed refused to tap out even as her arm was bent back at a griesome angle. Godinez switched to a triangle choke and then back to another armbar, but Reed somehow made it to the bell. 10-9 Godinez.

Round 2:
Reed pressed forward and secured a headlock throw in the second round, but Godinez immediately swept into top position. Gondinez stood and Reed followed, but Godinez took her back down. Reed kicked Godinez off, but Godinez welcomed her back to the feet with a big combination of punches and a slam into North-South position. Reed battled back to her feet once more, only to be pushed down and Godinez punched her in the face from mount. Reed gave up her back and Godinez locked on a rear-naked choke for the tapout win.

Winner: Lupita Godinez by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 3:38 of round two. She improves to 11-3-0.

 

Roman Kopylov vs Josh Fremd

Round 1:
Body kicks were exchanged during the opening two minutes of the fight until time was called when Kopylov was kicked in the groin. Action resumed after a moment and both men landed jabs. Fremd threw an inside-leg kick and Kopylov responded with a calf kick. Fremd clinched, but Kopylov landed a knee to his body and Fremd backed away. Kopylov scored with a hard body kick and he stuffed a takedown attempt. A spinning backfist scored for Kopylov just before the bell. 10-9 Kopylov.

Round 2:
Kopylov bloodied Fremd’s nose with straight left hands and a head kick in the second round. He continued to dominate the striking exchanges until time was called when Kopylov was kicked in the groin. The fight continued and Kopylov charged forward with punches. Fremd’s nose was a bloody mess and appeared to be broken. Kopylov landed a lead right uppercut and a kick to Fremd’s liver. Fremd backed up and Kopylov landed a kick to his right forearm. A final left hook to the liver dropped Fremd to the mat and ended the one-sided fight.

Winner: Roman Kopylov by KO (Punch To The Bodt) at 4:44 of round two. He improves to 12-2-0.

 

Edgar “Pitbull” Chairez vs Daniel “Miojo” Lacerda da Silva

Round 1:
The fighters traded leg kicks during the opening minute and Chairez landed a lunging right hand. He kicked at Lacerda’s lead leg and Lacerda answered with a takedown. Chairez kicked him off and stood up, then trapped Lacerda in a standing arm-in guillotine choke. Lacerda was fine, but as soon as his right arm drooped for one second, referee Chris Tognoni jumped in to stop the fight. Lacerda was fully conscious and immediately protested. Video replays were used and the result was quickly overturned.

Result: No Decision (Premature Stoppage) at 3:47 of round one. Chairez moves to 10-5-0, 1 ND, while Lacerda is now 11-5-0, 1 ND.

 

Tracy Cortez vs Jasmine Jasudavicius

Round 1:
Jasudavicius countered an early leg kick from Cortez with a right cross. She landed another one and Cortez answered with a combination. Cortez scored with a pair of right-left combos and Jasudavicius countered with an overhand right. A three-punch flurry from Cortez stunned Jasudavicius momentarily. Cortez connected with two right hands that damaged Jasudavicius’s left eye and prompted her to clinch. Cortez used a ninja choke to fight off a takedown attempt and the fighters separated. Cortez punched her way into another clinch and both women landed knees to the body. Jasudavicius walked forward and Cortez cracked her with three more quick punches before the bell. 10-9 Cortez.

Round 2:
Cortez landed more quick combinations early in the second round and she mixed in knees to the body each time Jasudavicius tried to clinch. A lead left hook scored for Cortez and she shrugged off another clinch attempt. Jasudavicius countered a combination from Cortez with a head kick that landed. Cortez circled and landed a jab-cross combo, but Jasudavicius finally got her down. Cortez stood against the cage and Jasudavicius took her down again. Cortez tried to stand up and managed to do so with one minute to go. Knees were exchanged in close and Jasudavicius pushed Cortez away. Jasudavicius landed a knee and Cortez threw a combination in the final seconds. Close round. 10-9 Jasudavicius.

Round 3:
Cortez had early success with two leg kicks and a right hook. She stuffed a takedown from Jasudavicius, who got Cortez down to a knee on her second try. Cortez got to her feet and backed away to the centre of the cage. A hard right cross scored for Cortez, but Jasudavicius resumed her march forward and she landed two right hands. Jasudavicius kneed Cortez in the body while holding her against the cage. Cortez circled out once more and Jasudavicius landed an overhand right. A strong right cross scored for Cortez and Jasudavicius kneed her in the body. She followed with a head kick and taunted Cortez. The fighters clinched briefly and Jasudavicius landed a right cross and a knee. Very close fight. 10-9 Jasudavicius by a slim margin.

Winner: Tracy Cortez by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 11-1-0.

 

Charlie “The Cannibal” Campbell vs Alex Reyes

Round 1:
Reyes jabbed and caught a kick from Campbell, but Campbell rocked him with a right hook while balancing on one leg. He backed Reyes up with a one-two and then stunned him with another right hook. Campbell kept the pressure on with punches and he opened a cut on the bridge of Reyes’s nose with a spinning back elbow. A final left-right combo from Campbell sent Reyes crashing to the mat and ended the lopsided fight.

Winner: Charlie Campbell by TKO (Punches) at 3:38 of round one. He improves to 8-2-0.

 

Josefine “Little Thunder” Lindgren Knutsson vs Marnic “The Sawed-Off Savage” Mann

Round 1:
Knutsson easily fought off an early takedown attempt and she landed a knee to Mann’s body and hammerfists to the side of her head. On the feet, Mann clinched and tried to throw Knutsson, but she wound up on the bottom and Knutsson worked from Mann’s half-guard. She passed to side control and hunted for a keylock on Mann’s right arm. Knutsson mounted Mann and threw slashing elbows to her forehead. 10-9 Knutsson, if not a 10-8.

Round 2:
Mann caught a kick and clinched with Knutsson against the cage. Knutsson broke free and landed a right cross and a hard knee to the body. She threw a quick combination of punches and held Mann against the fence. When the fighters separated, Knutsson landed a right cross and a body kick. She swept out Mann’s leg and landed on top in her half-guard. She mounted Mann once more and finished the round with punches from the top. 10-9 Knutsson.

Round 3:
Knutsson connected with a spinning back forearm strike, then followed with a right cross. She backed Mann up with more punches and a knee to the body. Knutsson took Mann down and moved to mount while trapping Mann’s right arm. Mann was able to power out from the bottom and got to her feet, where she was immediately kneed in the face. Knutsson took Mann back down and she threw short left hands to Mann’s body and face. She continued to punch until the final bell. 10-8 Knutsson. Not a close fight.

Winner: Josefine Lindgren Knutsson by Unanimous Decision (30-24, 30-25, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 7-0-0.
