Alessandro “Nono” Costa vs Jimmy “The Brick” Flick

Round 1:
Costa chopped away at Flick’s lead leg with kicks during the opening seconds. He followed with a left-right combo and two hard calf kicks. The second one dropped Flick and Costa forced him to stand. Flick switched to southpaw, but Costa landed two more calf kicks when Flick returned to orthodox. Flick tried unsuccessfully for a takedown and he fell. As Flick stood, Costa landed a combination and a jumping switch knee. Costa attacked with hooks to the body late in the round and one more leg kick. 10-9 Costa.

Round 2:
Costa landed a leg kick to begin round two and Flick lost feeling in the leg. He fell to the ground and Costa landed elbows from the top until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Alessandro Costa by TKO (Leg Kick & Elbows) at 1:03 of round two. He improves to 13-3-0.

 

Kyung Ho “Mr. Perfect” Kang vs Cristian “El Niño Problema” Quiñonez

Round 1:
The fight opened with an exchange of quick jabs and Kang landed a leg kick. Quiñonez used his jab to set up a right hook and an uppercut, but Kang dropped him face-first with a counter one-two. Quiñonez recovered enough to escape from a standing rear-naked choke, but Kang dragged him down to the ground and took mount. Quiñonez gave up his back and Kang locked on a tight rear-naked choke for a quick tapout win.

Winner: Kyung Ho Kang by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 2:25 of round one. He improves to 19-9-0, 1 NC.

 

Carlos Hernandez vs Denys “Psycho” Bondar

Round 1:
After trading jabs during the first minute of the fight, Bondar landed a right hook and Hernandez responded with two knees in a clinch. Bondar circled free and he closed in with a body kick. Both men landed quick one-twos and Bondar followed with an overhand right. Hernandez landed two right hooks and an exchange of leg kicks followed. Hernandez tried unsuccessfully to trip Bondar and he landed a three-punch flurry in the final seconds. Back-and-forth round. 10-9 Hernandez.

Round 2:
Hernandez countered Bondar’s forward movement effectively in the second round with jabs and quick combinations, as well as lead left hooks to Bondar’s body. Hernandez appeared to have an edge in the striking exchanges until Bondar briefly took him down in the final minute. Hernandez returned to his feet and jumped in with a flying switch knee to Bondar’s chest. Bondar tripped Hernandez and landed an illegal knee to a kneeling Hernandez’s head just before the bell sounded. Time was called and a point was not taken, despite the deliberate knee strike. 10-9 Hernandez.

Round 3:
Bondar attacked Hernandez’s body with a strong kick and a lead left hook in round three. Hernandez landed a combination and Bondar took him down very briefly. Hernandez stood and landed a knee. He sprawled out of another Bondar takedown attempt and cracked him with a right hook. Right hooks were exchanged and Hernandez missed with a spinning wheel kick. He took Bondar down from a body lock once and Bondar rose to his feet. Hernandez slammed him down again, which appeared to knock Bondar out, and then followed with a barrage of brutal elbows until the fight was stopped. Replays of the finish were reviewed and it was determined that the fighters clashed heads as the fight hit the ground. Due to this, the official result was a Technical Decision rather than a knockout.

Winner: Carlos Hernandez by Technical Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at 4:59 of round three. He improves to 9-2-0.

 

Tereza “Ronda” Bledá vs Gabriella “Gabi” Fernandes

Round 1:
The fighters traded single strikes from distance during the opening minute and Fernandes fought off a Bledá clinch attempt. Bledá caught a kick and took Fernandes down despite Fernandes grabbing the cage. She passed to half-guard and threw occasional right hands to Fernandes’s face. This continued all the way until the bell. 10-9 Bledá.

Round 2:
Bledá clinched again in round two, but Fernandes was able to take her back momentarily as the fighters battled against the cage. Bledá turned into the clinch and she took Fernandes down into full guard. Fernandes tried to posture for a triangle choke once, but Bledá easily avoided it and she kept Fernandes down. As Fernandes sat up against the fence, Bledá mounted her and rained down elbows. She landed punches and elbows until time expired. 10-9 Bledá.

Round 3:
Fernandes landed an overhand left to begin the final round and she closed in with two more left hands. Bledá was wobbled and Fernandes held her in a Thai clinch while landing knees. Fernandes landed one more left hook, but Bledá took her down and moved to mount. Bledá landed a few elbows and short right hands. Fernandes eventually gave up her back and Bledá punched the side of her head. Close round due to Fernandes’s early dominance on the feet. 10-9 Bledá.

Winner: Tereza Bledá by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 7-1-0.

 

Dan “The Determined” Argueta vs Ronnie “The Heat” Lawrence

Round 1:
Argueta immediately clinched and took Lawrence down into back control. Lawrence tried to scramble free and Argueta took top position in side control, where he landed an elbow. Lawrence tried to get to his feet and Argueta jumped on a guillotine choke. He rolled over with the choke into mount on two occasions. Lawrence did not tap, but his arm moved when referee Keith Peterson grabbed it to make sure that he was still conscious. That was interpreted as a tap, and the fight was stopped, which drew an immediate protest from Lawrence.

The finish was reviewed and overturned to a No Decision due to the premature stoppage.

Result: No Decision (Premature Stoppage) at 2:20 of round one. Argueta is now 9-1-0, 1 ND, while Lawrence moves to 8-2-0, 1 ND.

 

Modestas “The Baltic Gladiator” Bukauskas vs Zac “The Ripper” Pauga

Round 1:
Pauga dropped an off-balance Bukauskas with a lunging right hook in the opening seconds, then took him down after Bukauskas briefly got to his feet. Elbows were exchanged on the ground and Bukauskas worked back to a standing position. Pauga initiated a clinch against the cage, but Bukauskas circled free and he landed a lead left hook. Soon after, he hurt Pauga with a right hand and then followed with another one before the bell. 10-9 Bukauskas due to the late offence.

Round 2:
Punches were exchanged in the second round and Bukauskas landed a left hook. He prevented Pauga from clinching, but Pauga landed a leg kick and an uppercut. He blocked a head kick from Bukauskas and closed the distance with hooks to the body. Pauga stumbled Bukauskas with a right hook and chased after him with more punches. 10-9 Pauga.

Round 3:
The final round began with both men landing hard body kicks and Pauga followed with a right hook. After a clinch, Pauga landed another right hand and Bukauskas answered with one of his own. A hard jab landed for Bukauskas, but Pauga pressured him with two body kicks and a clinch attempt. Bukauskas threw two spinning back kicks to the body and grazed with a right hook before time expired. Close final round. 10-9 Pauga.

Winner: Modestas Bukauskas by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 15-5-0.
