Karl Williams vs Ɓukasz “The Bull” Brzeski

Round 1:
Williams secured two takedowns in the opening 90 seconds and he took Brzeski’s back in a standing clinch. Brzeski turned into the clinch and Williams swept out his leg. Brzeski was able to work back to his feet, but he was clearly fatigued already as the fighters separated. Jabs were exchanged and Williams landed a leg kick. Brzeski countered a clinch with a brief guillotine choke attempt, which Williams quickly escaped from. Brzeski landed two punches and Williams answered with a combination before the bell. 10-9 Williams.

Round 2:
Williams swarmed on Brzeski with a seven-punch combo of right and left hooks that dropped him. Brzeski stood and Williams suplexed him to the mat. He landed punches on the ground as Brzeski, now cut below his left eye, got to his knees and stood up. Williams took Brzeski back down and he landed short left hands as Brzeski stood against the cage. Williams grabbed his ankle and tripped him, then landed more left hands before Brzeski stood again. Williams fell while throwing a head kick and the round ended with Brzeski on top. 10-9 Williams.

Round 3:
The final round began with an exchange of right hooks. Williams took Brzeski down against the cage and held him down as Brzeski got to his knees. Williams landed right hands to the side of his face and prevented him from standing up. Williams landed right hands and kept Brzeski down until the end of the lacklustre fight. 10-9 Williams.

Winner: Karl Williams by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 8-1-0.

 

“Dangerous” Davey Grant vs Raphael Assuncao

Round 1:
Grant landed first with a leg kick and Assuncao answered with a right hook. He took Grant down after catching a body kick and Grant threw up his legs for a triangle choke. Assuncao easily avoided danger and took Grant’s back in search of a rear-naked choke. Grant eventually stood up and he pushed Assuncao away. Both men threw right hooks at the same time and Assuncao’s landed. Grant just missed with a head kick and Assuncao landed a solid leg kick in response. He cracked Grant with a right hook and clinched with Grant against the cage. Grant pushed Assuncao away and landed a front kick to the body. 10-9 Assuncao.

Round 2:
Assuncao ducked under a right hook from Grant and worked for a single-leg takedown against the cage, but Grant defended well and escaped from the clinch. Assuncao landed a right hook and Grant kicked at his right leg. Assuncao landed a body kick and circled to his left to avoid a lunging hook from Grant. Assuncao took Grant down and held partial back control while peppering him with left hands to the face. Grant stood and Assuncao kneed him in the stomach. He tripped Grant again and hunted for a rear-naked choke. 10-9 Assuncao.

Round 3:
Grant finished a combination with a head kick, then dropped Assuncao with a right hook. Assuncao got to his feet and Grant chased after him with more hooks that forced Assuncao to backpedal. Assuncao recovered and he took Grant down against the base of the cage. Grant worked back to his feet and Assuncao appeared to be unsteady. Grant closed in with a left hook to the body and a right to Assuncao’s face. Assuncao dropped levels for a takedown and Grant briefly grabbed the cage, which was enough for referee Keith Peterson to deduct one point. The fight restarted on the feet and Grant dropped Assuncao with a spinning backfist. Assuncao got to his knees and tried to pick Grant out, but Grant trapped him in an inverted triangle choke in the process. Assuncao was trapped and rendered unconscious, and the fight was eventually stopped.

Winner: Davey Grant by Technical Submission (Inverted Triangle Choke) at 4:43 of round three. He improves to 15-6-0.

 

Josh Fremd vs Sedriques “The Reaper” Dumas

Round 1:
Dumas grazed with an early head kick and he countered a Fremd leg kick with an overhand right. Fremd jabbed and landed another leg kick. He stunned Dumas with a left hook and then took him down into side control. He worked from the top as Dumas got back to full guard and then stood up as Fremd attempted a guillotine choke. Fremd landed a right hook and fought off a takedown attempt from Dumas. He held Dumas against the cage and landed knees to his body. 10-9 Fremd.

Round 2:
A hard right hook landed for Fremd, who hip tossed Dumas down into half-guard. He worked from the top until Dumas got to a knee and he took Fremd’s back in a scramble. Dumas got too high on the back and Fremd shook him off. As Dumas sat against the base of the cage, Fremd trapped him in a guillotine choke. He cranked on the neck and Dumas tapped out right away.

Winner: Josh Fremd by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 3:00 of round two. He improves to 10-4-0.

 

Victor “La Mangosta” Henry vs Tony Gravely

Round 1:
Henry threw front kicks to Gravely’s body during the opening minute and Gravely responded with two knees during a brief clinch. Henry fought off a takedown attempt and landed a right hook. Gravely tied him up in another clinch and the fighters traded right hands on the break. Henry jabbed until Gravely took him down against the base of the cage. Henry stood and Gravely held back control. He briefly dumped Henry to the mat and then finished the round by dragging him down once more. Close round. 10-9 Gravely.

Round 2:
Henry was much more aggressive in the second round and he backed Gravely up with a combination. Henry stuffed a takedown and he threw knees to Gravely’s body while holding him against the fence. Henry backed away and landed a body kick, but Gravely got him down and took his back again. Henry rose to his feet and attacked Gravely’s body with a front kick and knees. After more body kicks from Henry, Gravely landed an uppercut in response. He tried to take Henry down and Henry blasted him with elbows to the temple. Gravely got Henry down for all of two seconds and Henry finished the round with knees and punches during a final clinch on the feet. 10-9 Henry.

Round 3:
Gravely landed an uppercut to begin the final round, but Henry kept the pressure on him with two body kicks. Gravely scored with a three-punch combo and he countered a Henry elbow with an overhand right. Henry sprawled out of a takedown and held Gravely in a front headlock. The fighters separated and Henry used his jab to set up a hard right cross. When Gravely clinched, Henry used a rolling leglock attempt to take him down. He switched from an inverted heel hook to a kneebar, but Gravely countered with an arm-triangle choke in a scramble. Henry escaped and he took Gravely’s back as the fighters stood. Gravely turned into the clinch and landed an elbow in the final seconds. Another close round. 10-9 Henry.

Winner: Victor Henry by Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 23-6-0.

 

Ariane “Queen of Violence” Lipski vs J.J. Aldrich

Round 1:
Lipski landed a leg kick and a right hook early in the fight. Aldrich landed a left cross and Lipski responded with another quick right hand. Lipski stuffed a takedown and threw knees to Aldrich’s body. The fighters separated and Lipski landed a jab-cross combo. She fought off another Aldrich takedown attempt and landed two more knees to her body. Aldrich was unsuccessful with another takedown attempt and she ate more knees to her ribs from Lipski. In the final seconds, Lipski backed Aldrich up with a combination. 10-9 Lipski.

Round 2:
Lipski pressed the action again in the second round and she landed a three-punch flurry. She just missed with a head kick and landed another quick combination right after. Aldrich finally connected with a stiff jab and Lipski fired back with a body kick and four quick punches. She stuffed a takedown and punished Aldrich with two hard knees to the body. Lipski followed with a body kick and a right cross. When Aldrich clinched, Lipski landed two knees to her ribs and one to her face. 10-9 Lipski.

Round 3:
Aldrich was more aggressive in the final round, but she ate a counter right cross from Lipski. A four-punch combo also scored for Lipski and she landed another flurry soon after. Aldrich tried to clinch and Lipski pushed her away, then landed quick punches that backed Aldrich up momentarily. Aldrich finally got Lipski down to her knees very briefly, but Lipski stood and Aldrich held her against the cage. Aldrich landed a knee to her face and Lipski countered with a brief takedown of her own. Aldrich got to her feet and Lipski threw short knees. The fighters separated and Lipski threw a combination, then countered an Aldrich takedown attempt with a hip toss before the final bell. 10-9 Lipski.

Winner: Ariane Lipski by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 15-8-0.

 

Bruno “Bulldog” Silva vs Tyson Nam

Round 1:
Silva struck first with a leg kick and he landed an overhand right as Nam pressed forward. Silva moved to his left and landed a body kick. He missed with another kick attempt and Nam countered with a right hook. Late in the round, Nam blocked a spinning backfist and he countered a body kick with a right hook. Nam landed a body kick of his own just before the bell. Close and uneventful round. 10-9 Silva by a slim margin.

Round 2:
Silva dropped Nam with a front kick and swarmed on him with punches on the ground. Nam survived the onslaught, but he gave up his back and Silva locked on a tight rear-naked choke. Nam tried to fight it, but he was quickly rendered unconscious.

Winner: Bruno Silva by Technical Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 1:23 of round two. He improves to 13-5-2, 1 NC.

 

Carlston Lindsay “Mocambique” Harris vs Jared “Nite Train” Gooden

Round 1:
Gooden taunted while keeping his distance in the opening minute and the fighters exchanged right hooks. After an exchange of leg kicks, Harris landed a hard jab and another right hook that wobbled Gooden. He recovered, but Harris landed two more right hooks and an uppercut. In a brief clinch, Harris landed an elbow and then rocked Gooden again with a right hook. He backed Gooden up with an elbow and landed punches against the cage until the bell. 10-9 Harris.

Round 2:
Harris closed the distance and held Gooden against the cage, then took him down into half-guard. He landed short elbows from the top and mixed in right hands to Gooden’s ribs. The fighters clashed heads on the ground and Harris was cut above his left eye. He continued to work from the top until Gooden tried to power out and get to his feet. Harris held him in a front headlock and pushed him back down, and he finished the round by landing more short elbows from the top in half-guard. 10-9 Harris.

Round 3:
Harris used another front headlock to pull Gooden down to the ground and he transitioned to back control. Gooden defended, but Harris used an arm-triangle choke attempt to set up a pass to mount. He let go of the choke and postured up with elbows. Gooden worked back to his feet against the cage and avoided a standing arm-triangle choke attempt. Harris tripped him again and Gooden stood once more. The fighters separated and Harris landed a hard jab. He took Gooden down two more times and landed short elbows from Gooden’s half-guard. 10-9 Harris.

Winner: Carlston Lindsay Harris by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 18-5-0.
