Angela “Overkill” Hill vs Emily “Gordinha” Ducote

Round 1:
The fighters traded jabs and outside-leg kicks during the opening two minutes. Hill began to take control with stiff jabs and a combination. She flurried with punches to the body and finished with a right hook to Ducote’s jaw. Hill landed jabs and another leg kick as Ducote struggled to connect with anything in response. The round ended with Hill backing Ducote up with punches. 10-9 Hill.

Round 2:
It was more of the same in the second round, as Hill continue to strike first and strike often. She scored with an elbow that reddened the left side of Ducote’s face. Hill stuffed a takedown and punished Ducote with knees to the upper body. Hill secured a Thai clinch and landed more knees. Hill closed out the round by landing even more knees to Ducote’s body. 10-9 Hill.

Round 3:
Ducote was more active in the final round and landed punching combinations to Hill’s body and head. She continued to retreat, however, which allowed Hill to pressed forward with jabs and right hands. She went high with a head kick that partially landed, then followed with knees in a Thai clinch. Hill continued to score with knees in the clinch and she attempted another head kick. In the final minute, Hill held Ducote in one more Thai clinch and attacked her ribs with hard knees. The fight ended with Ducote catching a switch kick and trying unsuccessfully for a takedown. 10-9 Hill.

Winner: Angela Hill by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 15-12-0.

 

Clay “The Carpenter” Guida vs Scott “Hot Sauce” Holtzman

Round 1:
Holtzman landed a strong leg kick in the opening seconds and Guida threw two kicks in response. Holtzman landed a right hand and Guida ducked under a head kick. Both men landed leg kicks and Guida ducked into a head kick. Holtzman landed a straight right and Guida answered with two leg kicks. Two punches landed for Holtzman, who prevented Guida from clinching. Guida landed a hard right hook just before the bell. 10-9 Holtzman.

Round 2:
Guida tripped Holtzman and took his back as he stood up. Holtzman escaped from the clinch and he landed a short right hand. Guida took him down again and Holtzman quickly stood up. Guida picked him up and slammed him down to the mat. Holtzman battled back to his feet and Guida countered a right hand with a combination. Holtzman sprawled out of a takedown attempt from Guida, who landed a lead left hook and a leg kick. Holtzman responded with an uppercut, but Guida clinched with him and took his back. Holtzman turned into the clinch and grabbed the cage, but Guida got him down anyway. 10-9 Guida.

Round 3:
Guida pushed Holtzman away after a brief clinch in round three and he landed a lunging combination. Holtzman jabbed and just missed with an uppercut. Both men landed body kicks and Holtzman scored with an overhand right. Guida took his back and kneed Holtzman in the thigh. Holtzman turned into the clinch and Guida continued to try to take him down. He picked Holtzman up and slammed him down to the mat. Guida passed to side control, but Holtzman was able to escape to his feet. Guida took him down again and Holtzman stood up. He blatantly grabbed the cage again and was taken down anyway. 10-9 Guida.

Winner: Clay Guida by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 38-22-0.

 

Michael “The Menace” Johnson vs Marc “Bonecrusher” Diakiese

Round 1:
Diakiese secured a very brief takedown early in the fight and he landed a knee to Johnson’s body as the fighters stood up. Johnson countered two leg kicks from Diakiese with an overhand left. Diakiese landed a body kick and followed with a spinning back kick. Johnson backed him up with a three-punch flurry, but Diakiese regained his footing and answered with a hard uppercut. Johnson stuffed a takedown and Diakiese slipped while throwing a leg kick. Johnson fell into a triangle choke on the ground, but he powered out and both men returned to their feet. Diakiese landed a front kick and a lead left hand. 10-9 Diakiese.

Round 2:
In the second round, Diakiese chopped away at Johnson’s lead leg with kicks and Diakiese was warned for extending his fingers. Diakiese threw a spinning sweep kick attempt, which Johnson countered by taking his back. Diakiese broke free and Johnson landed a left cross. He followed with a three-punch combo as Diakiese appeared to slow down. Johnson flurried to the body and landed a lead right hook to Diakiese’s jaw. A straight left scored for Johnson, who easily avoided a takedown attempt from Diakiese. 10-9 Johnson.

Round 3:
Diakiese initiated an early clinch, but Johnson flurried to the body and pushed him away. He sprawled out of a Diakiese takedown attempt and Diakiese landed a knee as the fighters stood. Johnson landed a left hook to the body and a leg kick. He cracked Diakiese with a lead right hook and stuffed another takedown. Johnson jabbed and he landed two straight lefts. Diakiese kicked him in the body, but Johnson countered a jumping knee attempt with two hooks that knocked Diakiese off-balance. Johnson landed a hard jab and Diakiese rolled forward with a somersault kick attempt. Johnson landed a knee and he suplexed Diakiese at the bell. 10-9 Johnson.

Winner: Michael Johnson by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 21-18-0.

 

Jonathan “JSP” Pearce vs Darren “The Damage” Elkins

Round 1:
Pearce began the fight with two front kicks to Elkins’s face. Elkins took Pearce down, but Pearce got to his feet and he landed two uppercuts to Elkins’s bleeding nose. Pearce continued to throw front kicks and he landed a knee. Elkins answered with a lead left hook and Pearce scored with a hard right hand. He missed with a flying knee attempt, but he landed a switch kick and a right hook. That opened a cut beside Elkins’s left eye. Pearce took Elkins down and almost got to mount. He dropped punches from the top and Elkins secured full guard in the final seconds. 10-9 Pearce.

Round 2:
Both men landed right hooks in close during an early clinch and Elkins followed with a one-two. Pearce landed a knee to the body and he scored with uppercuts during another clinch, but Elkins landed two right hands of his own on the break. He pulled Pearce down to the ground and Pearce threw back elbow strikes to Elkins’s face. Pearce stood over Elkins and then dropped down into side control. Elkins got back to full guard, but Pearce punished him with punches and elbows from the top. 10-9 Pearce.

Round 3:
Elkins tried to punch his way into a clinch in the final round, but Pearce pushed him away and landed a front kick. He reversed an Elkins takedown and landed an elbow that opened a massive gash above Elkins’s left eye. Time was called, but the fight was allowed to continue despite blood pouring down Elkins’s face. The pace slowed down somewhat and Pearce landed two right hands. Elkins landed an overhand right and Pearce countered with three punches. He landed two elbows and threw Elkins down to the mat, then finished the round with punches from the top. 10-9 Pearce.

Winner: Jonathan Pearce by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 14-4-0.

 

Natan Levy vs Genaro “Rayadito” Valdéz

Round 1:
Valdéz countered a pair of body kicks from Levy with a right hook early in the fight. Two more right hands landed for Valdéz as Levy tried to find his range with leg kicks. Levy attempted a head kick and he landed a hard kick to the body, but Valdéz immediately responded with a one-two. A right hook dropped Valdéz once, but he stood back up. Levy knocked him down again with a side kick to the face and Valdéz stood once more. Levy hurt Valdéz with a liver kick, but he stayed on his feet and Levy kicked him in the groin. Time was called, but action resumed quickly and the round ended with an exchange of right hands. 10-9 Levy. Could be a 10-8.

Round 2:
Levy grazed with a head kick and Valdéz backed him up with a lead left hook. He followed with a flurry of punches and Levy circled away. Levy partially landed with another head kick and he took Valdéz’s back in a standing clinch. Valdéz turned into the clinch and Levy tripped him to the mat. Valdéz briefly looked for a guillotine choke as he sat up against the cage. Valdéz got to his feet with seconds remaining in the round and Levy threw a head kick. Closer round. 10-9 Valdéz due to damage.

Round 3:
Valdéz landed an elbow during an early clinch and Levy responded with a head kick after the fighters broke apart. Time was called when Valdéz was kicked in the groin again. Action continued after a minute and Valdéz landed a three-punch flurry. Levy threw a front kick to his face and then a counter combination as Valdéz stepped forward. Levy scored a takedown and he took Valdéz’s back as Valdéz got to his feet against the cage. Levy swept out his leg again and Valdéz rose to his feet. Valdéz blatsntly grabbed the cage in the final seconds, but Levy German suplexed him down to the mat anyway and the bell sounded. 10-9 Levy.

Winner: Natan Levy by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 8-1-0.

 

Francis “Fire” Marshall vs Marcelo “Pitbull” Rojo

Round 1:
After an exchange of overhand rights, Rojo landed a leg kick and a lead left hook. He cracked Marshall with a right cross and fought off a takedown, but Marshall knocked Rojo down with another overhand right. Rojo stood and he grabbed the fence twice to prevent Marshall from taking him down. Marshall got him down anyway with a body lock takedown and worked from the top in Rojo’s half-guard. He passed to side control and Rojo scrambled to his knees. Marshall held him down, but Rojo landed five hard back elbow strikes to Marshall’s face before the bell. 10-9 Marshall.

Round 2:
As Marshall pressed forward in round two, Rojo landed a counter right-left combo. Time was called when Marshall was kicked in the groin, but action resumed and Rojo landed two lead left hooks. Marshall countered with a right hook that dropped Rojo and he turned his lights out with three more punches to Rojo’s face while standing over him.

Winner: Francis Marshall by KO (Punches) at 1:14 of round two. He improves to 7-0-0.

 

Yazmin Jauregui vs Istela Nunes

Round 1:
Jauregui landed an early combination, but Nunes floored her with a right hand one minute into the fight. Jauregui got back to her feet and clinched. The fighters separated and Jauregui landed a counter left hook. She briefly took Nunes down, but Nunes stood back up and circled away. Jauregui connected with two right hands in the final 30 seconds and Nunes countered with a knee to the body. Close round. 10-9 Nunes due to the knockdown.

Round 2:
Early in the second round, Jauregui swarmed on Nunes with punches against the cage and Nunes dropped to her knees. As she stood up, Jauregui threw more punches and Nunes clinched. She recovered and Jauregui landed two elbows to her temple. The fighters broke free and Jauregui dropped Nunes with a right hook. Nunes upkicked from the ground and Jauregui dropped down into her guard. Nunes attempted a leg submission from the bottom and Jauregui used the opportunity to pass to side control. She blasted Nunes with hammerfists to her face and Nunes’s left eye swelled up. A hard elbow scored for Jauregui as well, who postured up and dropped a series of punches to Nunes’s face until referee Keith Peterson waved off the fight.
