Alex “The Great White” Morono vs Matthew “Semi The Jedi” Semelsberger

Round 1:
Semelsberger landed a left hook and a leg kick early in the fight and Morono answered with an overhand right. He followed with another one and attempted a spinning back kick to the body that partially landed. A left hook stunned Semelsberger, but he recovered quickly and landed a calf kick. Morono landed a right hook and blocked a body kick. Semelsberger landed two leg kicks and time was called when Morono was poked in his eye. The fight quickly resumed and Semelsberger clinched with Morono against the cage. Morono broke free and he landed two right hooks. Semelsberger’s left eye swelled up and the round came to a close soon after. 10-9 Morono.

Round 2:
Morono landed a right hand in the second round and Semelsberger jabbed in response. Semelsberger missed with an uppercut and Morono countered with a spinning backfist and a right hook. Morono landed four consecutive jabs and Semelsberger’s eye swelled shut. An overhand right and an uppercut scored for Morono, and he countered a lead left hand from Semelsberger with an overhand right. Semelsberger clinched and he managed to take Morono down from a body lock, but Morono threw up his legs for two armbar attempts and Semelsberger countered with hammerfists. Close round. 10-9 Morono.

Round 3:
Semelsberger dropped Morono with a flying switch knee in the opening seconds of round three. Morono recovered on the ground and the fighters battled for top position. Morono attempted an armbar and the fighters stood up. Semelsberger landed another knee and he held Morono against the fence. When the fighters separated, Morono cut Semelsberger near his damaged left eye with a right cross. Both men landed lead left hooks and Semelsberger kicked at Morono’s leg. Right hooks were exchanged in close and the fighters clinched until the final ten seconds. They briefly separated and Morono tried unsuccessfully for a takedown. 10-9 Semelsberger.

Winner: Alex Morono by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 22-7-0, 1 ND.

 

Drew Dober vs Rafael “The Turn” Alves

Round 1:
Both men landed right hooks during an exchange in the opening minute and Alves scored a takedown into half-guard after landing a lunging left. Dober got back to full guard and Alves stayed busy enough with short right hands. He eventually stood up and kicked at Dober’s legs until Dober rose to his feet as well. Power left hooks landed for both men and Alves avoided a three-punch combo from Dober with quick head movement. Dober blocked a head kick and he landed a left cross late in the round. 10-9 Alves.

Round 2:
Dober landed a liver kick and a left cross early in round two. He closed in with more punches as Alves backed up to the cage. Alves circled to his right and Dober threw three left hands to his body. Dober continued to press the action with punches, but Alves landed a counter knee to the body and he circled to his right again. Dober jabbed and time was called when Alves was poked in his left eye. The fight continued after a minute and massive punches were exchanged, with both men landing. Alves shot in for a takedown and Dober pushed him down to the mat. He dropped a left hand from the top just before time expired. 10-9 Dober.

Round 3:
Alves attempted a spinning wheel kick that missed and he was not able to take Dober down. A body kick scored for Alves, but Dober backed him up with a flurry to the head and body. Soon after, Dober landed a left hook to Alves’s ribs and Alves collapsed to the mat, ending the fight.

Winner: Drew Dober by KO (Punch To The Body) at 1:30 of round three. He improves to 25-11-0, 1 NC.

 

Hamdy “The Hammer” Abdelwahab vs Don’Tale “Lord Kong” Mayes

Round 1:
Abdelwahab landed a strong leg kick early in the fight and Mayes came up short with a left hook. Abdelwahab backed Mayes up with a right cross that landed between Mayes’s neck and shoulder. He dropped Mayes with two hooks and followed with a series of punches on the ground. When Mayes got to his feet, Abdelwahab suplexed him back down. He kept Mayes pinned down against the base of the cage and landed short left hands until Mayes rose to his feet. The fighters were separated with one minute to go and Mayes landed a right hook that set off an exchange of punches at the bell. 10-9 Abdelwahab.

Round 2:
The second round began with a hard leg kick and a right hook from Abdelwahab, but Mayes hurt him with a left cross and a knee. He followed with a flying knee and more punches that forced Abdelwahab to cover up against the cage. Abdelwahab’s left eye swelled up, but he weathered the storm of strikes. The pace slowed way down as the fighters traded cautious jabs and circled one another for the next two minutes. Time was called when Mayes was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and Abdelwahab landed a lead left hook. Mayes rushed at him and tripped, resulting in Abdelwahab taking top position on the ground in Mayes’s half-guard. He landed three right hands just before the bell. 10-9 Mayes.

Round 3:
Abdelwahab took Mayes’s back and pulled him down to the mat. He worked from the top in Mayes’s half-guard until Mayes gave up his back and stood up. He was immediately taken back down and Abdelwahab resumed working from the top. Abdelwahab landed a forearm strike and Mayes sat up. Abdelwahab held him down and landed short punches until the fighters were stood up. Mayes grazed with a head kick and Abdelwahab answered with a one-two. Mayes landed a hard left hook and a right hand before the bell. 10-9 Abdelwahab.

Winner: Hamdy Abdelwahab by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 6-0-0.

 

Drakkar Klose vs Rafa “Gifted” Garcia

Round 1:
Klose landed two early leg kicks and he followed with two right hooks and a knee. Garcia landed a leg kick and Klose answered with a body kick and a knee. A calf kick and a right hook landed for Klose, but Garcia countered with a lead left hook that wobbled Klose momentarily. Klose shot in for a takedown, but Garcia stayed on his feet. Klose landed two knees to the body and Garcia answered with an elbow on the break. Klose took Garcia’s back and he pulled Garcia down to the ground. Garcia got back to his feet and Klose swept out his leg. He spent the remainder of the round landing short left hands to the side of Garcia’s head. 10-9 Klose.

Round 2:
After an uneventful opening minute, leg kicks were exchanged in round two and Garcia secured a double-leg takedown. He landed short strikes from the top and passed to half-guard, but action slowed and referee Jacob Montalvo stood the fighters up. Punches were exchanged and Klose landed a right hook that led to another clinch. Garcia took him down and finished the round by landing right hands from back control. 10-9 Garcia.

Round 3:
Klose landed a knee and a stiff jab early in the final round. Garcia tried to clinch and he got Klose down on his second try. Klose scrambled up and he landed an uppercut as Garcia backed up. Garcia landed a short uppercut while circling away to his left and both men connected with right hooks. Garcia slowed down as he continued to backpedal and Klose landed a calf kick. He followed with a side kick to Garcia’s leg and a liver kick, then fought off a Garcia takedown attempt. The fight ended in a clinch against the cage, with Klose landing knees to the body and Garcia throwing short left hands in response. 10-9 Klose.

Winner: Drakkar Klose by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 13-2-1.

 

Michael Morales vs Adam Fugitt

Round 1:
Fugitt opened the fight with body kicks and two left hands from a southpaw stance. Morales landed a combination and he followed with a straight right as Fugitt moved forward. Morales landed another right cross and a jab, but Fugitt took him down. He was not able to pass Morales’s guard and Morales eventually elevated him from the bottom, which allowed Morales to get back to his feet. Fugitt landed two big left hooks and Morales quickly answered with a combination. Morales landed a hard jab at the bell. Back-and-forth round. 10-9 Morales due to damage.

Round 2:
Morales connected with a right cross and two jabs in the second round. More jabs scored for Morales, but Fugitt countered with a pair of lead right hooks. He attacked Morales’s body and landed a knee in close. Morales resumed jabbing and he landed a left-right combo. Fugitt landed a body kick and Morales responded with one-two combos. He followed up with another flurry, but that did not stop Fugitt from pressing forward in the final minute. Morales blocked a head kick and he landed a right cross. 10-9 Morales.

Round 3:
Fugitt attempted a takedown early in the final round and Morales stuffed it. Fugitt took Morales’s back and tried again to take him down, but Morales stayed on his feet and he dropped Fugitt face-first to the mat with a short left uppercut. Fugitt got back to his feet and Morales threw more punches. A right hand dropped Fugitt to his knees and referee Herb Dean immediately jumped in to stop the fight.

Winner: Michael Morales by TKO (Punches) at 1:09 of round three. He improves to 14-0-0.

 

Joselyne “La Pantera” Edwards Laboriel vs Ji Yeon “Firefist” Kim

Round 1:
Edwards threw a side kick to Kim’s lead leg during an uneventful opening minute as the fighters circled one another. Both women landed right hooks and Edwards jabbed. She threw a side kick to Kim’s midsection and Kim landed a lead left hook while circling away. The pace picked up in the final minute as both women landed punching flurries. Edwards remained the aggressor and she landed knees to Kim’s body while holding her against the cage. 10-9 Edwards.

Round 2:
Edwards bloodied Kim’s nose with a jab-cross combo in the second round, and she followed with a body kick and a flurry against the cage. Kim landed a hard right hand and that backed Edwards up momentarily. Edwards kicked at Kim’s lead leg and she partially landed with a head kick. Edwards continued to throw side kicks to Kim’s body, but Kim sidestepped the final two and landed a strong leg kick in response. Edwards landed two body kicks and Kim cracked her with an overhand right. In the final minute, Edwards landed more side kicks to the body. Kim answered with a body kick and clinched, but Edwards tripped her to the mat at the bell. 10-9 Kim by a slim margin.

Round 3:
Leg kicks were exchanged in the final round and Edwards began to limp after a clash of legs. Kim jabbed and she landed an overhand right. Edwards tied her up in a clinch, then lifted Kim up and slammed her down into side control. She passed to mount and then attempted an armbar. Kim escaped in the ensuing ground scramble, and the fighters returned to their feet. Kim escaped from a clinch with just over one minute remaining. Power punches were exchanged late in the fight and Kim landed two left hooks. Edwards connected with an overhand right. 10-9 Edwards.

Winner: Joselyne Edwards Laboriel by Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. She improves to 12-4-0.

 

Nicolae “Nick” Negumereanu vs Ihor “The Duelist” Potieria

Round 1:
Negumereanu opened the action with a straight right and Potieria answered with two leg kicks. Negumereanu clinched and held Potieria against the cage until he was able to take him down into half-guard. Negumereanu landed right hands and hammerfists from the top, but Potieria got back to full guard and then gave up his back. He stood up against the cage and Negumereanu dumped him to the mat. The fight returned to the feet and Potieria noticeably slowed down. Negumereanu landed a leg kick and a right hook late in the round. 10-9 Negumereanu.

Round 2:
Potieria landed a solid left hook in the second round that briefly backed Negumereanu up. Negumereanu landed two right hooks and he followed with two more. In a clinch against the cage, Negumereanu landed an elbow and then a spinning back elbow right after that. Following an exchange of right hooks, Negumereanu landed two knees to the body and Potieria backed up to the cage. Negumereanu attacked with more punches and knees, and he sent Potieria’s mouthpiece flying with an uppercut. Negumereanu landed two more hooks and three knees as Potieria wilted against the cage, and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Nicolae Negumereanu by TKO (Punches & Knees) at 3:33 of round two. He improves to 13-1-0.

 

Orion “Galaxy” Cosce vs Mike “Blood Diamond” Mathetha

Round 1:
Mathetha finished an early combination with a body kick and Cosce initiated a clinch against the cage. He kept him there until Mathetha reversed the clinch and landed a knee. Cosce turned him around again and tried to take Mathetha down with a headlock throw. Mathetha stayed on his feet, but Cosce held him in a body lock and then whipped him to the mat. He landed short left hands from side control and then took Mathetha’s back. Cosce attempted a German Suplex, but Mathetha quickly rose to his feet and he just missed with a head kick. The round ended with Mathetha throwing another head kick, which landed. 10-9 Cosce.

Round 2:
The fighters clinched against the cage and battled for position throughout the first half of round two. Cosce was unable to take Mathetha down and Mathetha eventually broke free with a body kick. Mathetha landed a front kick and a lead left hook, then wobbled Cosce with a spinning backfist. Mathetha closed in with punches, but Cosce recovered and he secured a clinch. Mathetha hurt him again with a knee to the body and he fought off a Cosce takedown attempt with elbows to the side of his head. 10-9 Mathetha.

Round 3:
Cosce closed the distance and clinched, then took Mathetha down with a lateral drop into side control. Mathetha managed to get back to his feet with Cosce on his back. Cosce pulled him down to the mat and hunted for a rear-naked choke from back control. He then switched to an arm-triangle choke from top position. Mathetha defended and he bucked Cosce off of him in mount. Cosce moved to side control and then to Mathetha’s back again. Mathetha turned to his side and Cosce transitioned to the top in half-guard, where he remained until the final bell. 10-9 Cosce.

Winner: Orion Cosce by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 8-1-0.
