Jake “The Celtic Kid” Matthews vs Akbarh “El Caballero” Arreola

Round 1:
The fight began with an exchange of punches and leg kicks and Matthews clinched against the cage. Arreola broke free and he hurt Matthews with a left hand. Matthews recovered, but Arreola floored him with a head kick and punches. He took Matthews’s back and flattened him out while landing more punches to the temples. Matthews eventually escaped out the back and wound up in Arreola’s guard. He flurried with punches and elbows to finish the round. 10-9 Arreola.

Round 2:
Matthews took Arreola down right away in the second round and he postured up with punches and elbows that bloodied Arreola’s face. Matthews continued to punish him with short shots that opened another cut above Arreola’s right eye. More hard punches and elbows scored for Matthews as the round progressed. He kept Arreola pinned down against the base of the cage and peppered him with strikes until the bell. 10-8 Matthews.

Between rounds, the cageside doctor stopped the fight due to Arreola’s swollen right eye and multiple cuts.

Winner: Jake Matthews by TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at 5:00 of round two. He improves to 9-1-0.

 

Kyle “KO” Noke vs Peter Sobotta

Round 1:
Noke picked his shots with punches and single kicks to Sobotta’s lead leg and body early on. Sobotta answered with leg kicks, but Noke dropped him with a vicious front kick to the liver. Sobotta immediately collapsed to the mat and Noke landed numerous punches until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Kyle Noke by TKO (Kick To The Body & Punches) at 2:01 of round one. He improves to 22-7-1.

 

Gian Villante vs Anthony “The Hippo” Perosh

Round 1:
Perosh lunged in with one-twos in the opening minute and Vaillante clipped him with a right hook to the temple. He wobbled Perosh with a right hook and followed with a big uppercut. Perosh retreated and Villante kicked to the body. Perosh landed two right hands of his own, but Villante dropped him face-first with a short right cross and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Gian Villante by KO (Punch) at 2:56 of round one. He improves to 14-6-0.

 

Danny “The Gremlin” Martinez vs Richie “Vas” Vaculik

Round 1:
The fight began with an exchange of punches and both men landed kicks to the body. Martinez countered punches from Vaculik by taking him down. Vaculik scrambled up and Martinez took him right back down. He struck from the top until the referee stood the fighters up. Martinez threw winging punches until Vaculik scored a takedown of his own. He tried to take Martinez’s back, but Martinez initiated a scramble and wound up on top. He used a front headlock to keep Vaculik at bay until the bell. 10-9 Martinez.

Round 2:
Punches were exchanged on the feet once again in round two and Martinez took Vaculik down into half-guard. Vaculik battled back to his feet, but Martinez rocked him with a left cross and followed with a knee. Vaculik recovered and threw a head kick. He got Martinez down and nearly took his back, but Martinez turned into Vaculik’s guard. The fighters briefly stood and Martinez took Vaculik down. 10-9 Martinez.

Round 3:
Martinez secured another takedown in the final round and he worked from the top until Vaculik scrambled up to his feet. He landed a nice knee, but Martinez quickly took him down again. From Vaculik’s guard, Martinez landed punches with his left hand while pinning Vaculik against the base of the cage. Vaculik tried to get back to his feet and he managed to do so with ten seconds to go. He landed a solid knee just before the bell. 10-9 Martinez.

Winner: Danny Martinez by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 18-7-0.

 

Daniel Kelly vs Steve “The Creepy Weasel” Montgomery

Round 1:
Kelly pressed forward aggressively in the opening 30 seconds and he landed a nice overhand left, but Montgomery countered with a stiff jab and a knee to the body. Kelly hurt him with three more left hands and he threw Montgomery to the mat. Kelly dropped short elbows and transitioned to back control. Montgomery tried to turn into Kelly’s guard and Kelly briefly mounted him in the process. He spent the remainder of the round landing punches from the top in Montgomery’s guard. 10-9 Kelly.

Round 2:
Kelly walked forward and threw more punches in round two, but Montgomery cracked him with a hard counter flurry. Kelly clinched and Montgomery landed numerous knees to the body. Kelly eventually got him down and worked for a Brabo choke. Montgomery escaped to his feet and both men landed left hooks. Montgomery continued to score with knees and short punches in close. 10-9 Montgomery.

Round 3:
Montgomery landed a knee to the body as Kelly initiated a clinch in the final round. Montgomery reversed a throw and the fighters returned to their feet. Kelly connected with an overhand left and Montgomery responded with a knee. Kelly scored with a big one-two and Montgomery kicked at his lead leg. More left hands landed for Kelly and he tripped Montgomery to the mat. Montgomery gave up his back and Kelly worked for a rear-naked choke. He switched to an armbar, then mounted Montgomery and rained down big shots. Montgomery fought off an arm-triangle choke before the bell. 10-9 Kelly.

Winner: Daniel Kelly by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 10-1-0.

 

Richard “Filthy Rich” Walsh vs Steve “The Steamrolla” Kennedy

Round 1:
Walsh landed a series of stinging leg kicks and a combination early in the first round. He wobbled Kennedy with more leg kicks and punches. Walsh continued to batter Kennedy with strikes until Kennedy finally secured a clinch against the cage. He took Walsh down and transitioned to back control. Walsh turned into Kennedy’s guard, but Kennedy swept and mounted him before the bell. 10-9 Walsh in spite of the late rally.

Round 2:
Kennedy looked to take the fight to the mat again in round two, but Walsh wound up on top and he landed quick punches before standing up. Kennedy pulled him down again and tried unsuccessfully for an inverted triangle choke. Walsh stood over Kennedy and dropped punches. On the feet, Walsh landed a punch-kick combo, but Kennedy took him down. Walsh tied him up and Kennedy snuck in short shots from the top. 10-9 Walsh.

Round 3:
Walsh kicked at Kennedy’s lead leg again in the final round and he stunned Kennedy with punches. Kennedy fell against the cage and Walsh landed knees to the body before taking his back. The fighters stood and Walsh landed a big right hand. Kennedy rolled for a leglock and stayed on the ground as Walsh kicked at his legs. The referee stood Kennedy up and Walsh tagged him with a combination. Kennedy flopped again and Walsh kicked at his left leg on the mat. 10-9 Walsh.

Winner: Richard Walsh by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 9-3-0.

 

James “Moon Walker” Moontasri vs Anton “The Professor” Zafir

Round 1:
The fighters traded kicks in the opening minute and Zafir landed a powerful overhand right. He took Moontasri down and landed knees on the way up. Zafir pinned Moontasri against the cage and landed short shots in close while working for another takedown. Moontasri broke free and the fighters exchanged more kicks. Moontasri landed a vicious spinning back kick to the liver followed by a backfist to the face. Zafir collapsed to the mat and the fight was waved off.

Winner: James Moontasri by TKO (Spinning Back Kick & Backfist) at 4:36 of round one. He improves to 9-3-0.

 

Ben “10” Nguyen vs Ryan “Baby Face” Benoit

Round 1:
Nguyen hurt Benoit with punches and a knee right away, and he mounted him on the ground. Benoit gave up his back and Nguyen worked for a rear-naked choke. He adjusted his grip and used ground and pound to set up a final choke that forced Benoit to submit.

Winner: Ben Nguyen by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 2:35 of round one. He improves to 14-5-0.
