“Raging” Al Iaquinta vs Piotr “Pletwal” Hallmann
Round 1:
Hallmann used kicks to the lead leg and body to keep Iaquinta at bay in the opening round and he followed with a left hook. Iaquinta narrowly blocked a head kick and fired back with a one-two, but he could not get Hallmann down. Hallmann landed a combination and Iaquinta answered with a right hand. Another head kick partially landed for Hallmann. In the final seconds, Hallmann stuffed a takedown and he took Iaquinta down just before time expired. 10-9 Hallmann.
Round 2:
Hallmann landed a combination in the second round and took Iaquinta down. As Iaquinta stood, Hallmann landed a hard right hand and worked for a second takedown. Iaquinta got back to his feet and Hallmann continued to land first in the striking exchanges. Iaquinta dropped him with a right hand and fought off a takedown attempt. He wound up on Hallmann’s back, but Hallmann scrambled up. Iaquinta landed a head kick and took Hallmann back down. The fighters stood and Iaquinta landed an uppercut. 10-9 Iaquinta.
Round 3:
Hallmann took Iaquinta down early in the final round, but he could not keep him there and Iaquinta immediately returned to his feet. He stuffed a takedown and landed leg kicks, but Hallmann connected with a counter left hook. Time was called after Hallmann was poked in the eye. After the restart, Iaquinta landed combinations, but Hallmann countered with a paid of takedowns. The fighters stood and traded kicks. Iaquinta reversed a takedown and took Hallmann’s back. He landed punches on the feet and took Hallmann back down. 10-9 Iaquinta.
Winner: Al Iaquinta by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 7-2-1.
Luke “Bigslow” Barnatt vs Andrew “Highlight” Craig
Round 1:
Craig landed a nice right hand and a leg kick early in the fight and Barnatt replied with a right hook. Barnatt established his jab and kept Craig at bay, but Craig got his timing down and scored with a big right hook. Craig continued to land the harder shots and he backed Barnatt up with a left hook. Barnatt rocked him with a counter right hand late in the round, however, and Craig collapsed backwards to the mat. He survived as Barnatt pounced on him with punches and battled back to his feet before the bell. 10-9 Barnatt.
Round 2:
Barnatt hurt Craig with punches again in round two and he took Craig down to the ground. Barnatt quickly transitioned to back control and locked on a rear-naked choke. Craig had nowhere to go and tapped out.
Winner: Luke Barnatt by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 2:12 of round two. He improves to 7-0-0.
Jéssica “Bate Estaca” Andrade vs Rosi “The Surgeon” Sexton
Round 1:
Big punches were exchanged right away and Andrade landed a lengthy combination that backed Sexton up to the cage. Andrade landed more hooks over the top and Sexton began to bleed from the nose. She caught an Andrade body kick, but could not get her down. Andrade landed another combination and Sexton began to mix up her strikes with jabs and body kicks.
More hard right hands landed for Andrade and she backed Sexton up once again. Sexton fired back with a nice right hand of her own, but Andrade took her down into side control. Sexton used an inverted triangle choke attempt to get back to her feet and both women landed knees to the body. Andrade dropped Sexton with a right hand and landed a knee that appeared to illegally strike Sexton’s head just as time expired. 10-9 Andrade.
Round 2:
Right hooks were exchanged in round two and Andrade rocked Sexton, but Sexton recovered and rushed forward with punches. Andrade hurt Sexton again with punches and a knee. Andrade teed off with punches against the cage, but Sexton somehow stayed on her feet. Andrade landed punches and body kicks until Sexton finally took her down just before the bell. 10-8 Andrade.
Round 3:
Sexton tried for takedowns in the final round, but Andrade reversed a clinch and held Sexton against the cage. Andrade backed away and landed left and right hooks. Sexton landed two big right hands of her own, but they appeared to have little effect. Andrade swarmed with punches and body kicks. She landed two lead left hooks and sprawled out of a takedown attempt. She defended against another takedown and blasted Sexton with punches until the end of the fight. 10-9 Andrade.
Winner: Jéssica Andrade by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 10-3-0.
Cole “Magrinho” Miller vs Andy “The Little Axe” Ogle
Round 1:
Miller landed hard right hands in the opening minute and he forced Ogle to backpedal. In the clinch, Miller landed knees and Ogle reversed against the fence. Miller countered a takedown by taking Ogle’s back and he locked on a body triangle. Ogle countered by punching backwards, but Miller stayed on his back until the end of the round. 10-9 Miller.
Round 2:
Ogle caught a knee in round two and tried for a takedown against the cage. Miller locked on a power guillotine choke, but Ogle was able to spin free and he wound up on top. Miller briefly swept, but he was forced to work from his back again. He tried for a triangle choke and Ogle postured up to escape. Miller used butterfly guard to propel Ogle forward and Miller wound up in mount. He spun into an armbar and then took Ogle’s back. 10-9 Miller.
Round 3:
Ogle flurried with punches in the final round and scored with quick combinations that cut Miller below the right eye. He got Miller down and punished him with elbows from the top. Ogle continued to score with short strikes from Miller’s guard. He remained on top until late in the final round when Miller scrambled and tried to take his back. Ogle spun back into Miller’s guard before the final bell. 10-9 Ogle.
Winner: Cole Miller by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 20-8-0.
Jimy “The Kid” Hettes vs Robert “The Hammer” Whiteford
Round 1:
After an early exchange of strikes, Whiteford grabbed on to Hettes’s leg and landed punches with his right hand. He took Hettes down, but Hettes reversed into top position and attempted a scarf hold armlock from side control. Whiteford held on and Hettes transitioned to back control. Hettes worked for a rear-naked choke until Whiteford scrambled to his feet with 15 seconds remaining in the round. Hettes took his back standing before the bell. 10-9 Hettes.
Round 2:
Hettes landed a knee and dragged Whiteford back down to the mat again in round two. Whiteford tried to sweep, but Hettes immediately locked on a triangle choke from the bottom. Whiteford was unable to escape and referee Neal Hall stopped the fight just as Whiteford lost consciousness.
Winner: Jimy Hettes by Technical Submission (Triangle Choke) at 2:17 of round two. He improves to 11-1-0.
Brad Scott vs Michael “Judo” Kuiper
Round 1:
The fighters traded leg kicks in the early goings and Scott landed a nice uppercut. Kuiper clinched and took him down, but Scott worked back to his feet. Both men landed short knees in the clinch until referee Marc Goddard separated them. Scott pressed forward with strikes and held Kuiper against the cage. Kuiper tried to break free, but Scott locked on a standing power guillotine choke. Kuiper could not escape the hold and he was forced to tap out.
Winner: Brad Scott by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 4:17 of round one. He improves to 9-2-0.
