Isaac Vallie-Flagg vs Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante

Round 1:
Vallie-Flagg opened the fight with a right hook and Cavalcante replied with a one-two and a leg kick. More leg kicks scored for Cavalcante and he took Vallie-Flagg down. Calvancate worked for a rear-naked choke from back control and then switched to a guillotine. Vallie-Flagg stood and ate a knee. In a clinch, both fighters landed knees. Cavalcante jabbed and mixed in leg kicks. Vallie-Flagg landed a leg kick of his own and followed with a flying knee. Cavalcante scored with a big head kick, but Vallie-Flagg answered with another flying knee late in the round. 10-9 Cavalcante.

Round 2:
Cavalcante scored a takedown in round two and moved to half-guard. He worked to pass to mount, but Vallie-Flagg escaped up to his feet. Cavalcante landed a right cross and a leg kick. Vallie-Flagg answered with a combination and a head kick. The fighters continued to trade punches and Vallie-Flagg pushed Cavalcante backwards with a front kick. Vallie-Flagg attempted a flying knee and landed an overhand right. More punches landed for Vallie-Flagg and he clinched against the cage. Vallie-Flagg remained aggressive with punches and leg kicks in the final 30 seconds. 10-9 Vallie-Flagg.

Round 3:
Vallie-Flagg was active with punches in the final round and he easily shrugged off a takedown attempt. More punches scored for Vallie-Flagg and he targeted Cavalcante’s ribs with strikes in a clinch. Vallie-Flagg landed a standing elbow and a winging overhand right. He followed with more elbows and a lead left hook, then backed Cavalcante up with a front kick. Vallie-Flagg clinched and kneed to the body. Big punches were exchanged in close and Vallie-Flagg kept Cavalcante pinned against the cage. He mixed up his strikes with punches and knees to the head and body. Vallie-Flagg closed out the fight with flying knees, a head kick and an uppercut. 10-9 Vallie-Flagg.

Carlos Augusto “Guto Inocente” Filho vs Virgil “Rezdog” Zwicker

Round 1:
Zwicker countered early leg kicks with a flurry of punches and Filho answered with a combination. Swicker missed with a head kick and ate a pair of counter kicks to the leg and body. Filho landed a vicious head kick, but Zwicker dove in for a takedown. He wound up on the bottom and Filho landed elbows from the top. The fighters stood and Filho landed a spinning back kick. He followed with knees and another spinning kick. More knees scored for Filho, but Zwicker stayed on his feet. He ate a head kick and a big knee, but scored a takedown. Filho stood and landed a leg kick. 10-8 Filho.

Round 2:
Zwicker countered a kick with a takedown in round two and fought out of a triangle choke. Zwicker stood and kicked at Filho’s legs. Filho got up and countered punches with a pair of hard leg kicks. Filho landed another kick and Zwicker caught it. He clinched, but Filho reversed a takedown and landed knees to the body and punches as Zwicker kneeled. Zwicker stood and ate a devastating spinning backfist that somehow had no effect at all. Zwicker closed the distance with punches and tried for takedowns in the final minute. 10-9 Filho.

Round 3:
Zwicker scored with a nice right hand in the final round and Filho appeared to slow down. Filho landed a knee and Zwicker walked right through it with punches. The fighters clinched and exchanged knees to the thighs. Filho broke away and landed a knee. He faked a head kick and Zwicker continued to walk him down. Zwicker backed Filho up with jabs and a knee. He followed with more punches, but was briefly rocked by a jumping switch knee. Zwicker recovered and punched his way into a clinch at the bell. Close final round. 10-9 Filho.

Winner: Carlos Augusto Filho by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 6-0-0.

 

Gian Villante vs Derrick “Caveman” Mehmen

Round 1:
Punches were exchanged early on and Mehmen landed a right hook. Villante dropped him with a counter right and followed with punches on the ground. He took Mehmen’s back and kept Mehmen pinned down. Mehmen eventually worked his way up and more punches were exchanged. Mehmen was the aggressor and pushed forward with punches, but ate a counter uppercut. Villante rocked Mehmen with a right hook and clinched against the cage. He backed away and landed a flurry to the body and head. Villante landed a grazing head kick late in the round. 10-9 Villante.

Round 2:
Villante flurried with punches in round two and stuffed a takedown. The fighters continued to trade punches and both landed single strikes. Time was called after Villante was poked in the eye. Action resumed and Villante landed a hard leg kick. He mixed up his strikes with kicks, but a takedown attempt was unsuccessful. Mehmen began to target the body with his punches, but Villante dropped him with a punch-kick combo. Mehmen kicked him off and stood. Stiff jabs and a leg kick scored for Villante. 10-9 Villante.

Round 3:
Villante remained in control of the striking exchanges early in the final round and he landed a nice uppercut as Mehmen closed in. Mehmen scored with one of his better combinations of the fight, but Villante was unhurt and answered with a series of jabs. Mehmen fired off an uppercut and Villante responded with one of his own. An overhand right connected for Mehmen and the fighters traded knees in a clinch. Villante landed a solid right hand and a leg kick. Mehmen shot in for a takedown and drove Villante into the cage. He took Villante’s back as time expired. 10-9 Villante.

Winner: Gian Villante by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 10-3-0.

 

Quinn Mulhern vs Yuri Villefort

Round 1:
Mulhern jabbed early on and Villefort scored a brief takedown. Mulhern stood and landed leg kicks. He punched his way into a clinch and both fighters landed knees. Villefort missed with punches, but landed leg kicks. Mulhern scored a takedown, but was unable to do much from the top and Villefort countered with elbows. Mulhern tried to pass Villefort’s guard, but Villefort defended and got to his feet as Mulhern took his back. Mulhern wound up on the bottom after a failed takedown attempt and worked for an omoplata. Villefort fired back with punches. Close round. 10-9 Mulhern.

Round 2:
Mulhern landed punches in round two, but Villefort answered with a leg kick and a left hook. Mulhern took Villefort down, but Villefort worked back to his feet. Mulhern scored another takedown and moved to side control, then mount. Villefort scrambled up and took Mulhern down. Mulhern countered with a Kimura and another omoplata. He took Villefort’s back and attempted another omoplata before the end of the round. Another close call. 10-9 Mulhern.

Round 3:
Villefort stuffed an early takedown and took top position, but Mulhern stood up and clinched. This time it was Mulhern who reversed the takedown and he took over on top. He moved to side control and landed a series of elbows. Villefort eventually managed to scramble to his feet and Mulhern failed with a takedown attempt. He wound up on the bottom and spun for a heel hook, then an omoplata. Mulhern used the hold to transition to Villefort’s back and then to mount. Villefort escaped to his feet, but Mulhern secured back control and held it until the final bell. 10-9 Mulhern.

Winner: Quinn Mulhern by Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 18-2-0.

 

“King” Bobby Green vs James “Intensity” Terry

Round 1:
The fighters traded jabs and kicks early on and continued to exchange strikes throughout the opening two minutes. Terry landed a grazing head kick and the fighters continued to trade leg kicks. Terry closed in with punches and landed a nice combination, but Green managed to circle out by jabbing and throwing more kicks. Another flurry scored for Terry and he defended against a takedown attempt late in the round. 10-9 Terry.

Round 2:
Terry missed with wild punches in round two and Green resumed kicking from the outside. Green began taunting, but Terry finally connected with some of his power punches and swarmed with more strikes. Green survived, but ate two more hard right hands. A leg kick scored for Green and he began to regain his composure. Jabs were exchanged and Green landed a left hook and a leg kick. He clinched briefly and threw looping punches. The fighters exchanged hard shots as time ticked down. 10-9 Terry.

Round 3:
Green picked up the pace in the final round and scored with kicks and punches. He kept Terry at bay with jabs and Terry struggled to land anything. An overhand right connected for Terry, but Green was unfazed and continued to get the better of the striking exchanges. Green bloodied Terry’s nose with left hooks and jabs and avoided a counter combination. Terry landed a left hook and a leg kick, but Green kept his distance and defended well until the bell. 10-9 Green.
