Josh “The Romanian Hammer” Krizan vs Tony “The Savage Nighthawk” Johnson

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Jerry Krzys. Punches were exchanged right away and Krizan scored a takedown against the cage. He took Johnson’s back in a scramble and worked for a rear-naked choke. Johnson tried to escape out the back and eventually did so. Krizan stood and landed hammerfists, then jumped onto Johnson’s back again. This time, he secured the choke, but Johnson managed to hold on until the bell. 10-9 Krizan.

Round 2:
Krizan took Johnson down early in round two and avoided a weak guillotine choke attempt. He passed to side control and later transitioned to Johnson’s back. Johnson escaped and secured back control. He tried for a rear-naked choke, but Krizan fought out of it. The exhausted fighters stood and Johnson shot for a sloppy takedown. Krizan kept him down and landed weak punches until the bell. 10-9 Krizan.

Round 3:
Johnson attempted a takedown in the final round, but Krizan pushed him to the mat and took top position in half-guard. Krizan stood and Johnson slowly followed. He dropped down for a desperation takedown and Krizan easily stuffed it. Krizan moved to side control, but stood up soon after. Johnson dove at his legs and Krizan took Johnson’s back on the ground. Johnson scrambled to the side and landed hammerfists as the round ended. 10-9 Krizan.

Winner: Josh Krizan by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds.

 

Ashley “Smashley” Hawkins vs Angie “Domino” Reinhardt

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Chad Trukovich. Hawkins opened the fight with leg and body kicks and followed with a quick one-two. Reinhardt punched her way into a clinch and took Hawkins down against the fence. Hawkins worked back to her feet and scored with a series of knees to the body. The fighters were separated and Hawkins landed a pair of body kicks before clinching up as time expired. 10-9 Hawkins.

Round 2:
Reinhardt landed a nice right cross in round two and countered a body kick with a three-punch combo. She clinched and pressed Hawkins up against the cage, but Hawkins reversed and landed knees. Hawkins backed away from the clinch, but Reinhardt closed in and tried to take her down. Hawkins wound up on top and she landed short punches with her left hand from a top-side crucifix. Reinhardt got to her knees and tried to drive through for a takedown, but Hawkins defended until the bell. 10-9 Hawkins.

Round 3:
Both fighters connected with right hooks to open round three and a clinch followed. Knees were exchanged and Hawkins kept Reinhardt pressed up against the cage. The pace slowed as Hawkins threw occasional punches and knees to the body. She tried for a takedown in the final minute, but Reinhardt defended with a guillotine choke attempt. Reinhardt broke away and threw haymaker punches in the final seconds, but Hawkins avoided most of them. Close final round. 10-9 Hawkins.

Winner: Ashley Hawkins by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds.

 

Devonte “Johnny Cage” Smith vs Joe Callari

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Jerry Krzys. Callari shot in for a takedown early on and got Smith down against the cage. Smith trapped Callari’s arms and prevented him from doing anything. The fighters were stood up and both landed big knees to the body. Callari backed Smith up to the cage and tried unsuccessfully for a takedown until the bell. 10-9 Callari.

Round 2:
Callari landed a body kick and a right hook to open round two. He countered a leg kick by clinching and backing Smith up to the cage. The fighters were separated after a stalemate and Smith hurt Callari with a body kick. He swarmed with punches, but Callari recovered and clinched. Smith stayed on his feet as Callari tried to take him down until the bell. 10-9 Smith.

Round 3:
Smith reversed a takedown in the final round and stood over Callari. He rained down punches until Callari rolled to his stomach. Smith switched to hammerfists and looping hooks as Callari covered up. Callari regained guard and ate another flurry of punches before spinning for a heel hook attempt. He used it to sweep into mount, but Smith defended well and reversed to take top position. Smith stood over Callari and continued to tee off with punches. Callari blocked most of them and appeared to be fine, but referee Jerry Krzys waved off the fight with six seconds remaining. The crowd voiced its displeasure with the stoppage.

Winner: Devonte Smith by TKO (Punches) at 2:54 of round three.

 

Ashley “The Bully” Rickard vs Trisha “The Phoenix” Barr

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Chad Trukovich. The fighters kept their distance early on with leg kicks and single punches. Rickard looked to clinch, but Barr punched free. Rickard jabbed and Barr answered with looping left hooks followed by a right. Barr fought off another clinch attempt with punches over the top and both women landed knees to the body as the round ended. 10-9 Barr.

Round 2:
Barr countered a takedown into mount in round two. She quickly transitioned to Rickard’s back and worked for a modified rear-naked choke with her forearm from back control. Rickard escaped into Barr’s guard and postured up with some solid punches. Barr held on and prevented Rickard from landing anything damaging in the final minute. Close second round. 10-9 Barr.

Round 3:
Rickard pulled guard in the final round and immediately set up an armbar. Barr stood to try to defend, but Rickard adjusted her grip and rolled her over. Barr tapped out as she fell to the mat and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Ashley Rickard by Submission (Armbar) at 0:31 of round three.

 

Fadi Shuman vs Kegan O’Neill

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Jerry Krzys. O’Neill clinched early on and landed knees to the body. He locked on a tight standing guillotine choke, but Shuman held on for nearly a minute. O’Neill released the choke and the fighters exchanged punches. Shuman landed knees of his own and stuffed a takedown attempt with punches. O’Neill secured another guillotine as the fighters stood and Shuman slammed him down. Shuman passed to mount before the bell, but remained in the guillotine until the end of the round. 10-9 O’Neill.

Round 2:
Shuman scored a takedown very early in round two and quickly moved to mount. He postured up and landed punches until O’Neill gave up his back. Shuman secured a rear-naked choke and trapped O’Neill’s arm. O’Neill tried to hold on, but was forced to submit.

Winner: Fadi Shuman by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 0:53 of round two.

 

Rebecca Heintzman vs Roya Darvishian

Round 1:
Referee for this bout is Chad Trukovich. Both fighters landed stiff jabs early on and Darvishian countered a one-two with a combination. She remained aggressive and kept Heintzman on the defensive with more punches. Darvishian scored with a looping left hook and both women taunted the other. A nice right hand connected for Darvishian before the bell. 10-9 Darvishian.

Round 2:
Heintzman tried to clinch in the second round, but ate a barrage of punches on the way in. Darvishian remained the superior striker and snapped Heintzman’s head with a right cross. Heintzman clinched and backed Darvishian up to the cage. After a moment of working for a takedown, she got Darvishian down. Darvishian locked on an armbar from the bottom and Heintzman used knees to the body to try to escape. Close round. 10-9 Darvishian.

Round 3:
Darvishian scored with another flurry of punches as Heintzman looked to clinch in the final round. Heintzman caught a body kick and took Darvishian down. She postured up with punches in Darvishian’s guard, but Darvishian countered with a gogoplata attempt. Heintzman escaped to half-guard, but Darvishian nearly trapped her in a second gogoplata and an armbar at the bell. 10-9 Darvishian, barely. Close final two rounds.

Winner: Rebecca Heintzman by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds.
