Tachi Palace Fights 8: "All Or Nothing" Results & RecapTachi Palace Fights returned tonight with their eighth event, “All or Nothing,” at the Tachi Palace Resort and Casino in Lemoore, California. The card was headlined by a TPF Middleweight Championship bout between champion Leopoldo Serao and experienced UFC veteran David “The Crow” Loiseau.

In the co-main event, TPF Flyweight Champion “Useless” Ulysses Gomez defended his title against Darrell “The Mongoose” Montague, while the top flyweight in the world, Jussier “Formiga” da Silva, faced Ian McCall in a battle of contenders. MMARising.com has full results for the card.

The main event of the evening saw David “The Crow” Loiseau earn the TPF Middleweight Championship with a fifth-round doctor stoppage victory over ex-champ Leopoldo Serao.

Much of the opening rounds were spent with Loiseau working from the top in Serao’s guard, where he landed elbows and defended against a series of gogoplata attempts. Serao managed to score a takedown in round two and landed in side-control, but Loiseau quickly scrambled out and took Serao’s back. Rounds three and four had Loiseau back on top landing occasional elbows as Serao tied him up from the bottom.

Late in the fourth round, Loiseau landed a big elbow that opened a bad cut on the side of Serao’s head. Serao began bleeding profusely from the cut as the round came to a close. He fought on and the fifth round began with a hard right hand from Loiseau. He followed up with a barrage of punches and elbows that opened Serao’s cut. Time was called to check the gash and the cageside doctor advised referee “Big” John McCarthy to stop the fight.

Winner: David Loiseau by TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at 1:12 of round five. He improves to 20-10-0 and becomes the new Tachi Palace Fights Middleweight Champion.

The co-main event featured another title change, as Darrell “The Mongoose” Montague dominated former champion “Useless” Ulysses Gomez over five rounds to claim the TPF Flyweight Championship.

Gomez tried to take the fight to the mat in the opening round, but Montague defended and punished him with a variety of strikes. A punch opened a cut beside Gomez’s left eye, but he managed to score a takedown after a failed flying knee attempt from Montague. Gomez landed hard strikes before the bell, but it was not enough to steal back the round.

Montague took over in the middle rounds, as his superior striking began to overwhelm a bloodied and battered Gomez. Montague also attempted submissions when the fight hit the mat, but Gomez defended and held strong despite having no answer for Montague’s strikes on the feet. Montague taunted as the fight wore on and Gomez could do little to answer.

More taunting and dancing followed for Montague in the final round, as he picked Gomez apart with strikes and avoided a clinch near the cage. Montague landed kicks until Gomez clinched and pulled guard. Montague stood and the one-sided fight came to a close seconds later.

Winner: Darrell Montague by Unanimous Decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) after five rounds. He improves to 9-1-0 and becomes the new Tachi Palace Fights Flyweight Champion.

Current number one-ranked flyweight, Jussier “Formiga” da Silva, suffered the first loss of his career when he was upset by “Uncle Creepy” Ian McCall in a back-and-forth three-round affair.

Da Silva controlled much of the opening stanza after scoring a takedown and securing back control. He stayed on McCall’s back throughout the round, but was unable to secure a rear-naked choke for the finish. McCall took over in round two with superior strikes on the feet, then blasted da Silva with punches and elbows after the Brazilian pulled guard. McCall avoided a kneebar and the fight returned to the feet before the bell.

With the fight up for grabs heading into the third and final round, McCall continued to outstrike da Silva with crisp punches and impressive head movement. Da Silva attempted a takedown and McCall defended. He finally took McCall down, but it was McCall who was more active as he landed elbows from the bottom until the bell. All three judges sided with McCall, who picked up a big upset win.

Winner: Ian McCall by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 9-2-0.

UFC veteran Edgar Garcia made short work of Mike “El Palo Duro” Moreno in another featured matchup on the card.

Moreno attempted a takedown early on and Garcia defended with a guillotine choke. The fighters returned to their feet and exchanged strikes in close, with Moreno landing a nice knee to the body. Garcia pulled guard with another guillotine choke and this one was too tight for Moreno to escape. He tapped out, giving Garcia a solid victory.

Winner: Edgar Garcia by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 1:47 of round one. He improves to 9-2-0.

In other action, Dominique “Fallen Angel” Robinson earned his second straight win over a UFC veteran when he upset John “Quick Guns” Gunderson via third-round stoppage.

Gunderson scored a very brief takedown in the opening round, but Robinson returned to his feet and used a guillotine choke to put Gunderson on his back. Robinson stood and landed a nice right hand that prompted Gunderson to get back to his feet. Gunderson stumbled and Robinson capitalised with a hard kick to the body and a takedown.

Robinson dominated the second round after countering a Gunderson takedown. He rained down elbows from the top and worked for an armbar, but Gunderson escaped. Robinson controlled the remainder of the round with more elbows and carried the momentum into round three. There, he stuffed a Gunderson takedown and moved to mount, then teed off with punches until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Dominique Robinson by TKO (Punches) at 0:41 of round three. He improves to 6-4-0.

A battle between UFC castoffs Fabricio “Morango” Camoes and Steve Lopez ended in short fashion after a head kick sent Lopez crashing to the mat early in the opening round.

The fighters circled for the first 15 seconds before Camoes landed the crushing head kick. Lopez fell to his back and appeared to briefly lose consciousness. Camoes pounced with punches and the fight was waved off, though Lopez did appear to have recovered and was defending. Nevertheless, Camoes took the victory and will next face fellow ex-UFC roster member Efrain Escudero.

Winner: Fabricio Camoes by TKO (Head Kick & Punches) at 0:23 of round one. He improves to 11-5-1.
