Strawweight Queen of Pancrase Champion Haruka “Salt” Hasegawa made a successful defence of her title with a five-round Unanimous Decision win tonight at Pancrase 347 in Tokyo, Japan. Hasegawa defeated former Queen of Pancrase and current Shooto titleholder Emi “Kamikaze Angel” Fujino.

Pancrase 347 featured three additional women’s matchups. Atomweight Queen of Pancrase Champion Satomi “Sarami” Takano defeated Yerin “Ghost” Hong in a non-title bout. Fumika Watanabe upset Takayo Hashi at flyweight, and Karen outpointed Edna “Trakinas” Oliveira Ajala at 115.

Returning after more than two years away from action, former Rizin FF champion Ayaka Hamasaki is set to compete on November 17th at Rizin Fighting Federation: “Landmark Vol. 10” in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. Hamasaki meets former Road FC champ Yu Ri Shim in a super atomweight bout.

Officials announced the Hamasaki-Shim matchup during tonight’s Rizin FF 48 event. Hamasaki has not fought since she was defeated by Si Woo Park in September 2022, as an injury forced her out of a planned bout early this year. Shim dropped a competitive decision in her March Rizin debut.

Rizin FF Women’s Super Atomweight Champion Seika Izawa remained undefeated with a clear-cut Unanimous Decision victory in non-title action tonight at Rizin Fighting Federation 48 in Saitama, Japan. Izawa defeated former Rizin grand prix winner Kanna Asakura, who retired after the fight.

Izawa constantly worked for a finish throughout the three-round bout, and she threatened with numerous submission attempts, but Asakura escaped each time and she even rallied with stomps late in the fight. Both women reflected on the entertaining matchup when discussing it backstage.

Invicta Fighting Championships returned to Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas tonight with an eight-fight all-female card. Invicta FC 57 featured a vacant atomweight championship bout between Elisandra “Lili” Ferreira de Oliveira and Andressa “Gauchinha” Romero, who both earned wins in June.

Several of the top female fighters on the Pancrase roster were in attendance at a press conference today in Tokyo, Japan to discuss training for their upcoming matchups at Pancrase 347, which takes place on September 29th. The card features a total of four women’s bouts including one title fight.

Rebounding from a pair of razor-thin interim title fight defeats, 21-year-old rising star Machi Fukuda scored a dominant win in her strawweight main event bout tonight at Deep Jewels 46 in Tokyo, Japan. Fukuda submitted Morgane “Souris” Manfredi with a second-round arm-triangle choke.

In tonight’s co-headliner, Namiko “Hime” Kawabata earned a much-needed Unanimous Decision victory over fellow striker Saki Kitamura in their 49kg super atomweight bout, and former microweight champ Aya Murakami finished Yuko Kiryu with an armbar in the second round at atomweight.
