Former UFC title challenger Sara McMann earned one of the biggest victories of her career in a featured bantamweight matchup tonight at The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale in Las Vegas, Nevada. McMann submitted BJJ black belt Alexis “Ally-Gator” Davis with a second-round arm-triangle choke.
McMann has now won back-to-back bouts inside the Octagon and has set her sights on fighting her way back into title contention. Also on tonight’s TUF 24 Finale card, highly-touted strawweight prospect Jamie Moyle took home her first official UFC win by defeating talented Hawaiian Kailin Curran.

Invicta FC Strawweight Champion Angela “Overkill” Hill retained her title and took another step up in the 115-pound rankings with a clear-cut Unanimous Decision victory at Invicta Fighting Championships 20 in Kansas City, Missouri. Hill defeated Kaline “The Dark Angel” Medeiros in the co-feature.

Though it did not come without a considerable amount of controversy, “Dynamite” Danielle Taylor picked up her first UFC victory tonight at UFC Fight Night 101: “Whittaker vs Brunson” in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Taylor narrowly edged out Seo Hee Ham in a featured strawweight bout.
Tonight’s fight was marred by two eyepokes that left Ham unable to see out of one eye, but she outstruck Taylor in round one and appeared to have won the second round after mounting her before the bell. Two judges disagreed and returned baffling 30-27 scorecards for Taylor, who took the win.

Gadelha controlled the majority of tonight’s fight on the feet and on the ground, and she was well on her way to a victory until she threw an illegal soccer kick that grazed Casey’s head in round three. The fight continued with no points deducted, and Gadelha prevailed on the judges’ scorecards.
