Teen prodigy Mizuki Inoue, who turned 17 on Friday, will take a huge step up in competition when she faces Jewels Lightweight Queen Champion Ayaka Hamasaki in a non-title matchup.

Also announced for the event was the return to MMA of grappling ace Emi Tomimatsu, who faces Norway’s Celine Haga. Tomimatsu has not competed in MMA since early 2008. In other action, Yuko “Amiba” Oya looks to bounce back from her first loss in two years when she faces Akiko “Betiko” Naito.

Erika Kamimura Wins 2011 Shoot Boxing Girls S-CupThe “Strongest Female High School Student” reigns supreme. Tonight at Shibuya-AX in Tokyo, Japan, Erika Kamimura outlasted three opponents to win the 2011 Shoot Boxing Girls S-Cup tournament. The 18-year-old edged out kickboxer and MMA standout Seo Hee Ham in the finals of the event.

In other action, two-time Girls S-Cup champion Rena Kubota defeated “Muay Thai Idol” Zaza Sor Aree by second-round knockout and will rematch Kamimura at a November 23rd RISE event. Kubota’s 16-year-old protégé, Mio Tsumura, made her pro debut and defeated Yoko “Iron Beauty” Yamada.

Rin Nakai To Face Danielle West At September 4 PancraseFinal Valkyrie Open-Weight Champion Rin Nakai will put her unbeaten MMA record on the line against England’s Danielle “The Curse” West at Pancrase Impressive Tour 9 on September 4th in Tokyo, Japan. MMARising.com first learned of the bout on Wednesday and the promotion announced it today.

Nakai has not fought since December 30th when she quickly submitted an overmatched Mika “Hari” Harigai at SRC: “Soul of Fight.” She captured the Valkyrie title in November before the promotion ceased operations. West will look to rebound from a loss in May as she makes her second trip to Japan.

Pablo Garza vs Dustin Poirier Planned For UFC On FOX 1A featherweight bout between TUF 12 alum Pablo “The Scarecrow” Garza and rising star Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier is the first addition to the UFC On FOX 1 card on November 12th in Anaheim, California. The fighters have verbally agreed to the fight, which was officially announced earlier today.

Garza is coming off of a pair of highlight-reel victories in the form of a flying knee knockout and a flying triangle choke submission. Poirier earned his biggest victory to date in January when he upset then-top contender Josh “The Fluke” Grispi and later defeated Jason “Shotgun” Young in June.

Shizuka Sugiyama Training In Australia, Eyes March ReturnOne of the top stars in Japan’s Jewels promotion, Shizuka Sugiyama, is four months into a year-long trip to Australia and she is training diligently for her return to MMA. The karate black belt is learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Gracie Oceania Training Centre in Marrickville, New South Wales.

Sugiyama made the trip south from Yokohama, Japan after suffering the first stoppage loss of her MMA career in December. Believing that she needs to add more tools to her game in order to become a stronger and better fighter, Sugiyama will continue her training in Australia until March of next year.

UFC Partners With FOX For Seven-Year Broadcast DealThe Ultimate Fighting Championship has secured a major network deal. In a joint announcement today, UFC and FOX executives revealed a seven-year broadcast agreement that will include 36 live events per year including 24 new episodes of The Ultimate Fighter that will feature live fights on FX.

The landmark deal also includes six live UFC Fight Night events per year on the FOX-owned FX network, as well as two finale shows for seasons of TUF in 2012. Four live events per year will air on the FOX network itself, with the first card currently targeted for November 12th in Anaheim, California.

Six Fights Announced For Jewels: "16th Ring" In SeptemberLeading all-female promotion Jewels announced a total of six fights today for its “16th Ring” card on September 11th in Tokyo, Japan. All four quarterfinal matchups in the Jewels Featherweight Queen Tournament are now set, and the winner of the grand prix will become the first Jewels champion at 48kg.

Jewels showcased its first eight-woman tournament last year and crowned Ayaka Hamasaki as the first Jewels Lightweight Queen Champion at 52kg. The winners of this year’s quarterfinal bouts will advance on to “17th Ring” on December 17th, where the champion must win twice in a single night.

Rick Story vs Martin Kampmann Targeted For UFC 139A welterweight bout between contenders Rick “The Horror” Story and Martin “The Hitman” Kampmann is in the works for UFC 139 on November 19th in San Jose, California. Both fighters will look to rebound from decision losses. Verbal agreements are in place for the bout, which was announced today.

Story stepped in on short notice to face Nate “The Great” Marquardt in June, but was upset by late replacement Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman after Marquardt was forced off of the card. Kampmann has dropped two straight decisions inside the UFC, but neither outcome was without controversy.
