Five kickboxing matches have been added to Saturday’s Jewels: “20th Ring” event at Differ Ariake in Tokyo, Japan. Among them is a three-round bout between NJKF Bonita Boxeo champ and Jewels veteran Kozue “Azuma” Nagashima and South Korean amateur boxing champion Ji Yun Kim.

Thirteen-year-old “Muay Thai Genius” Saya Ito, a veteran of 84 fights, faces off against Emi Matsushita on the card, while Ito’s teammate Miiri Sasaki battles Kayoko Yamazaki. In 52kg amateur tournament action, Wano Sato faces Mari Suzuki and Reina Matsuda squares off against Ayumi Otaki.

Nearly two years after the September 24, 2010 Ultimate Women Challenge competition took place in St. George, Utah, results for the six professional bouts have been released at last. Among the reality show’s winners were Invicta FC competitor Kaitlin Young and flyweight veteran Angela Magana.

MMARising.com first obtained a copy of the results in January 2011, but the show became shrouded in legal controversy and the results were placed under an embargo by the Pete Suazo Utah Athletic Commission. Director Bill Colbert officially approved the release of the results this week.

Grappling specialist Lisa Ellis picked up a quick and impressive submission win on Saturday night at United Combat Sports: “Caged Combat 6” in Grand Ronde, Oregon. Ellis defeated Muay Thai practitioner Amy “Lil’ Dynamite” Davis with a first-round armbar to capture the UCS 110-pound women’s title.

Also on Saturday, “Little” Patricia Vidonic got back on the winning track with one of her biggest victories to date at CageSport 20 in Tacoma, Washington. Vidonic showcased some solid ground and pound in the later rounds to earn a Unanimous Decision win over local fan favourite “Slick” Sally Krumdiack.

Strikeforce came to the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon with a double bill of title fights tonight at Strikeforce: “Rockhold vs Kennedy.” The event was headlined by a Strikeforce Middleweight Championship bout between Luke Rockhold and Tim Kennedy, who made his second bid for the belt.

Also on the card, the vacant Strikeforce Welterweight Championship was on the line when undefeated prospect Tyron “T-Wood” Woodley battled UFC veteran Nate “The Great” Marquardt. “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler faced Lorenz “The Monsoon” Larkin. MMARising.com has live play-by-play for the card.

Former Golden Gloves boxing champion Munah Holland earned the biggest win her of young MMA career tonight at Matrix Fights 6 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The hard-hitting striker stopped Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Carina “Beauty But The Beast” Damm in a featured flyweight matchup.

Holland has won four straight fights since suffering her lone career defeat in December 2010. She has finished three opponents with strikes, including tonight’s one-punch knockout of Damm. Despite a solid first round against Holland, Damm remains winless in her past four fights in the United States.

A third women’s bout has been added to Strikeforce: “Rousey vs Kaufman” on August 18th in San Diego, California. Jewels star Hiroko Yamanaka will make her second appearance for Strikeforce when she faces Muay Thai standout Germaine “The Iron Lady” de Randamie in bantamweight action.

Yamanaka debuted for Strikeforce in a women’s featherweight title fight in December and was stopped by then-champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos, but the result was overturned when Santos failed a post-fight drug test. De Randamie is 1-1 in Strikeforce, but she has not fought since June 2011.

Two of MMA’s top amateur competitors will face off for a second time at Momentum Fighting Championship: “Fight Night 2” on July 21st in Anaheim, California. Stephanie “The Shark” Gonzalez puts both her unbeaten record and her 115-pound Momentum FC title on the line against Kaiyana Rain.

The fighters first met in a closely-contested bout at a Grappling X event in October, where Gonzalez prevailed via Split Decision. Rain has won three fights since and became Tuff-N-Uff 115-pound women’s champion in May. Both fighters discussed the rematch with MMARising.com on Wednesday.
