Kaiyana Rain Defeats Stephanie Gonzalez, Wins MFC TitleOn Saturday night in Anaheim, California, Kaiyana Rain avenged her lone defeat and captured another title at Momentum Fighting Championship: “Fight Night 2.” Rain earned a Unanimous Decision victory over Stephanie “The Shark” Gonzalez to become Momentum FC 115-pound champion.

Rain and Gonzalez first faced off in a competitive bout under the Grappling X banner in October when Gonzalez prevailed via razor-thin Split Decision. Rain dominated much of the rematch on Saturday to earn the Momentum FC title and she plans to make her professional debut later this year.

Smith Out, Raquel Pa'aluhi Faces Amanda Nunes At Invicta FC 2A hand injury has forced Leslie “The Peacemaker” Smith out of her featured bantamweight bout with Amanda “Lioness of the Ring” Nunes at Invicta Fighting Championships 2 on July 28th in Kansas City, Kansas. Hawaii’s Raquel “Rocky” Pa’aluhi has stepped in to face Nunes on the card.

MMARising.com confirmed the change with a source close to the promotion today. Smith is believed to have suffered a hairline fracture and a timetable for her return is not yet known. Pa’aluhi is Nunes’s third planned opponent after her original foe, Milana Dudieva, also withdrew due to an injury.
