Colleen Schneider Submits Sanja Sučević, Wins Title At SFL 14Strikeforce veteran Colleen “The Beautiful Disaster” Schneider picked up her third straight victory and captured her first pro title tonight at Super Fight League 14 in Mumbai, India. Schneider submitted Serbia’s Sanja Sučević with a keylock to become the inaugural SFL Women’s Flyweight Champion.

Schneider used her size and strength advantage to control the fight on the ground and she dominated the action with strikes and submission attempts. Sučević did well in defence, but Schneider continued to wear her down and eventually secured the fight-ending keylock midway through round three.

Jessica Aguilar, Felice Herrig Victorious At Bellator 94 In FloridaTop-ranked strawweight Jessica “Jag” Aguilar made a successful return to action tonight at Bellator 94 in Tampa, Florida, but her victory did not come easily. Aguilar narrowly outpointed submission specialist “Little” Patricia Vidonic in a rematch from the pair’s first fight back in February 2012.

In a second female fight on tonight’s card, Felice “Lil’ Bulldog” Herrig rallied back from a tough first round to take a Split Decision victory over bitter rival “Hurricane” Heather Clark. Herrig controlled the action on the ground in the latter half of the fight to earn the close decision win on the scorecards.

Jasminka Cive's Invicta Fighting Championships 5 Blog, Part TwoAnother week of training has passed. I love it. I am feeling pretty good right now, the weight is great and everything is going according to plan. I’ve had great training sessions at the Ettl-Bros Team in Graz and at MMA-Vienna, which are two of the best gyms in Austria. I also did some fun training with M-1 Champion Beckan Taisumov, which helped me to improve a lot.

Now I have another challenge in front of me before fighting at Invicta FC 5. My own event, Mixfight Night IV, will be this weekend. I’ve nearly sold out the arena already and I will give the audience info about Invicta and my fight.

After two opponent changes, Budd faces off against veteran “Miss” Mollie Estes, who makes her second appearance for the promotion.

Invicta FC officials announced the change today following an initial report from TheMMACorner.com. Estes’s original opponent, unbeaten knockout artist Veronica “The Heartbreaker” Rothenhausler, has withdrawn from the event due to an injury. The all-female card will proceed with 13 fights.

Jessica Eye Suffers Back Injury, Out Of Bellator 95 Bout On April 4Top-ranked flyweight Jessica “Evil” Eye has sustained a serious back injury and has been forced to withdraw from her fight against Munah “The Perfect Storm” Holland at Bellator 95 on April 4th in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Eye discussed details of the injury with MMARising.com this weekend.

Eye, who has fought through injuries including a broken foot in the past, was left unable to walk or train due to the severity of the back injury. She incurred damage to the sacral vertebrae in her lower back and will undergo shots and therapy in hopes of making her return to the Bellator cage this summer.

Norma Center Edges Out Rachael Cummins At Pandemonium 8Stepping in on two days’ notice, Norma Rueda Center made a successful pro debut on Saturday night at MEZ Sports: “Pandemonium 8” in Pomona, California. The Jackson’s MMA fighter edged out Tuff-N-Uff veteran Rachael “The Panther” Cummins in a bout much closer than the scores suggested.

Center scored a big takedown in the opening round, but had to work quickly to fend off Cummins’s submission attempts from her back. Cummins began to show signs of fatigue as the fight progressed and Center took advantage with a strong third round to take home a close Unanimous Decision victory.
