Former Jewels champions will collide when Ayaka Hamasaki returns from an injury hiatus to face Naho “Sugi Rock” Sugiyama in a 106-pound contender’s bout.

Also confirmed for Deep Jewels 5 is a much-anticipated rematch between Deep Jewels Interim Lightweight Champion Emi Tomimatsu and teen prodigy Mizuki Inoue. The pair first faced off in a February fight that Inoue won by third-round submission, but she was disqualified for missing weight.

Valérie Létourneau Defeats Elizabeth Phillips At UFC 174French Canadian striker Valérie “Trouble” Létourneau overcame an eye injury and picked up her first Octagon win tonight at UFC 174: “Johnson vs Bagautinov” in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Létourneau narrowly edged out fellow late replacement Elizabeth Phillips in a bantamweight bout.

Létourneau and Phillips each stepped in to compete at UFC 174 on very short notice, but both put on solid showings in their respective UFC debuts. Phillips began to slow down in rounds two and three and Létourneau took advantage by landing crisp combinations en route to a Split Decision win.

Claudia Gadelha Faces Tina Lähdemäki At UFC Fight Night 45History will be made once again on July 16th when the Ultimate Fighting Championship stages its inaugural women’s strawweight bout at UFC Fight Night 45: “Cerrone vs Miller” in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Undefeated BJJ black belt Claudia “Claudinha” Gadelha faces Tina “Jelly Bean” Lähdemäki.

FoxSports.com first reported on the 115-pound matchup on Wednesday. Gadelha was twice scheduled to compete for the Invicta FC Strawweight Championship, but injuries and illness forced her out of both planned bouts. Lähdemäki, also unbeaten, has finished three of her five pro opponents.

Leslie Smith vs Jessamyn Duke Added To UFC Fight Night 45Former Invicta FC star Leslie “The Peacemaker” Smith looks to pick up her first Octagon victory when she returns to action at UFC Fight Night 45: “Cerrone vs Miller” on July 16th in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
