One of the UFC’s top female stars, “12 Gauge” Paige VanZant, picked up her fourth straight victory in a featured strawweight fight tonight at UFC 191: “Johnson vs Dodson 2” in Las Vegas, Nevada. VanZant dominated TUF 20’s Alex “Astro Girl” Chambers en route to a third-round submission win.
VanZant was in complete control of tonight’s bout from start to finish and she overwhelmed Chambers with strikes that ultimately set up the finish. In bantamweight action, Raquel “Rocky” Pennington avenged a past loss by submitting Jéssica “Bate Estaca” Andrade on the preliminary card.

WPMF Women’s Pinweight World Champion Ayaka “Little Tiger” Miyauchi defends her title on September 27th at Suk Weerasakreck 10 in Tokyo, Japan. Miyauchi is set to face WPMF Japan Women’s Pinweight Champion Saya Ito in a battle between two of Japan’s top female kickboxers.
WPMF officials confirmed the champion versus champion matchup today following weeks of campaigning by Ito, who first set her sights on world champion Miyauchi after capturing the WPMF Japan title one year ago. The 16-year-old Ito has racked up eight straight professional Muay Thai wins.

UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk has received a new date and opponent for her next title defence. The undefeated Polish star is now set to face off against Valérie “Trouble” Létourneau at UFC 193: “Rousey vs Holm” on November 15th in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
UFC officials announced the updated matchup earlier today. Jędrzejczyk was initially slated to battle Claudia “Claudinha” Gadelha in a rematch at UFC 195, but the tentative bout was scrapped due to concerns over Gadelha’s recovery from a finger injury. Létourneau is 2-0 at 115 pounds.
