Nine fights are now officially set for next month’s all-female Invicta Fighting Championships 15 card in Costa Mesa, California. The January 16th event will feature a bantamweight contender’s bout between Raquel “Lionheart” Pa’aluhi and new opponent Colleen “The Thoroughbred” Schneider.
The Pa’aluhi-Schneider matchup was announced on today’s debut episode of Invicta FC Radio. In featherweight action, Amanda “The Lady Killer” Bell faces Ediane “India” Gomes, while Megan Anderson meets Amber Leibrock. At flyweight, Christine “Knuckles” Stanley takes on Shannon Sinn.

Invicta FC Featherweight Champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino makes the next defence of her title on January 16th at Invicta Fighting Championships 15 in Costa Mesa, California. Justino is expected to face off against Daria Ibragimova, who has won seven straight fights and makes her U.S. debut.
MMARising.com confirmed plans for the matchup today following hints from Justino in a post on her official website. Also targeted for the Invicta FC 15 card is a strawweight bout between Deep Jewels champion Mizuki Inoue and Lacey “The Ladie” Schuckman. Both fights await commission approval.

New UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm shocked the MMA world with a devastating knockout victory on November 15th at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. “The Preacher’s Daughter” destroyed “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey and now takes over the top spot at 135 pounds.

Former Shoot Boxing Japan Women’s Flyweight Champion Ai Takahashi concluded her career with one of her biggest victories tonight at Shoot Boxing: “Ground Zero Tokyo 2015” in Tokyo, Japan. Takahashi avenged a past loss by edging out long-time shoot boxing rival Mizuki Inoue.
Following tonight’s victory, Takahashi, who had previously suffered three defeats against Inoue, announced her retirement from competition. In other action on the card, former J-Girls champion Gracyer Aki took a hard-fought Split Decision win over late replacement foe Akari “Union” Nakamura.

Former Deep Jewels champion Seo Hee Ham picked up her first UFC victory in her home country tonight at UFC Fight Night 79: “Henderson vs Masvidal” in Seoul, South Korea. The standout striker edged out Cortney “Cast Iron” Casey on the feet in a closely-contested strawweight matchup.
Casey got off to a solid start in the opening round after backing Ham up with a head kick and punches, but Ham stood her ground and rallied back with crisp striking throughout the final ten minutes. Casey slowed down in round three and Ham walked away with a well-deserved win on the scorecards.
