Javid “The Snow Leopard” Basharat vs Mateus “Bocão” Mendonça

Round 1:
Mendonça grazed with a head kick early in the fight and then clinched with Basharat against the cage. The fighters separated and Mendonça knocked Basharat down with a leg kick, but Basharat quickly recovered and countered with a right hook. Mendonça attempted a cartwheel kick that missed and he ate two uppercuts for his efforts. Both men landed hooks and Mendonça missed with a spinning backfist. Basharat cracked him with a left hook and Mendonça clinched. He took Basharat’s back and pulled him down to the mat. Basharat rose to his feet and separated from the clinch. He landed a spinning back kick to the body ad attempted a single-leg takedown. Mendonça pulled his leg out and landed a right hook. Basharat took Mendonça down into side control and he landed right hands and an elbow as Mendonça stood up. Back-and-forth round. 10-9 Basharat.

Round 2:
Mendonça took Basharat down early in round two, but Basharat stood back up against the cage. He landed an elbow and pushed Mendonça away. Mendonça kicked at Basharat’s legs and tried to take him down. Basharat balanced on one leg and then landed a right hook that damaged Mendonça’s eye. Mendonça countered a takedown with a guillotine choke, which Basharat freed his neck from. Basharat landed elbows from the top in Mendonça’s half-guard. He moved to a top-side crucifix and elbowed Mendonça’s face. Mendonça gave up his back and then mount, but he got back to half-guard. Late in the round, Mendonça attempted a heel hook on Basharat’s left leg. 10-9 Basharat.

Round 3:
Basharat caught a body kick and landed two counter hooks. He backed Mendonça up with a lunging left hand and then went high with a head kick. Basharat landed a front kick to the body and an overhand right. He followed with a body kick and a left cross. Mendonça clinched and got Basharat down to a knee. Basharat reversed a second takedown into top position and avoided a triangle choke attempt. Basharat almost took Mendonça’s back, but Mendonça scrambled up to his feet and tried to pull guard with a guillotine choke. Basharat freed his neck and landed punches and elbows from the top in Mendonça’s half-guard. 10-9 Basharat.

Winner: Javid Basharat by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 14-0-0.

 

Abdul Razak “Judo Thunder” Alhassan vs Claudio Ribeiro

Round 1:
Ribeiro chopped away at Alhassan’s left leg with kicks in the opening minute. Alhassan shot in for a takedown and Ribeiro maintained his balance against the cage. Alhassan landed a knee to the body and Ribeiro escaped from the clinch. He landed a hard right hand and Alhassan shot in for a takedown after blocking a head kick. A clinch battle ensued against the cage and Alhassan kneed Ribeiro’s thigh. He landed an elbow late in the round and finished with a barrage of punches at the bell. Close round. 10-9 Alhassan due to the strong finish.

Round 2:
The second round began with Ribeiro landing a calf kick, but Alhassan stunned him with a right hook. He landed another right hand that wobbled Ribeiro and then two more that dropped him against the cage, prompting referee Mark Smith to stop the fight.

Winner: Abdul Razak Alhassan by TKO (Punches) at 0:28 of round two. He improves to 12-5-0.

 

Mateusz “Chińczyk” Rębecki vs Nick Fiore

Round 1:
Punches were exchanged early in the fight and Rębecki landed a strong left hook. He followed with a body kick and another left hand. Fiore landed a right cross and Rębecki answered with a pair of three-punch combos and an uppercut. Rębecki continued to march forward with hooks and uppercuts to Fiore’s body and head. He landed a leg kick and then flurried with uppercuts. Rębecki took Fiore down and he cut him with an elbow from the top. Rębecki landed more elbows during the final 30 seconds. 10-9 Rębecki. Could even be a 10-8.

Round 2:
Rębecki landed a combination to the body in round two and tried for a takedown. Fiore pushed him away and Rębecki slowed down. Fiore took him down and almost got to mount. Rębecki powered out from the bottom and stood up. He landed a leg kick and took Fiore down into full guard. Rębecki spent the remainder of the round landing short elbows from the top while keeping Fiore down. 10-9 Rębecki.

Round 3:
Fiore tried unsuccessfully for a takedown to begin the final round. Rębecki took him down and quickly escaped from a Fiore guillotine choke attempt. Rębecki spent the entire duration of the round landing short elbows and right hands from the top while preventing Fiore from getting up or mounting any offence from the bottom. 10-9 Rębecki.

Winner: Mateusz Rębecki by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 17-1-0.

 

Allan “Puro Osso” Nascimento vs Carlos Hernandez

Round 1:
Hernandez countered an early leg kick with a quick one-two, but Nascimento landed a front kick and punches before taking Hernandez down. Hernandez stood with Nascimento holding back control and Nascimento dragged him back down. Nascimento held Hernandez in place with a body triangle and then locked on a rear-naked choke as Hernandez stood up with Nascimento on his back. Nascimento tightened the standing choke and Hernandez tapped out.

Winner: Allan Nascimento by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 3:16 of round one. He improves to 20-6-0.

 

Dan “The Determined” Argueta vs “Slick” Nick Aguirre

Round 1:
Argueta scored an easy takedown early in the fight, but Aguirre scrambled from the bottom and he briefly held top position. Argueta took his back and Aguirre quickly reversed into back control himself. He held Argueta in a body triangle and hunted for a rear-naked choke. Argueta turned over into Aguirre’s guard and landed an elbow from the top. Aguirre got to his knees and Argueta held him down while landing two right hands. He took Aguirre’s back late in the round and tried for a rear-naked choke before the bell. 10-9 Argueta.

Round 2:
The second round began with Argueta landing a combination and he followed with a hard left hook. Aguirre fought off a clinch attempt and Argueta appeared to slow down, but he closed the distance and clinched once more. Aguirre pushed him away and he landed two lead right hooks. Argueta took Aguirre down and he punched from the top before taking Aguirre’s back. Argueta locked on a rear-naked choke, but Aguirre managed to break his grip. Argueta took mount and landed an elbow, which prompted Aguirre to give up his back again. Aguirre fought off one more rear-naked choke and Argueta closed out the round with strikes from the top. 10-9 Argueta.

Round 3:
After a brief clinch to open round three, Argueta landed two leg kicks and he closed the distance with jabs. Aguirre landed a lead right hook in response and Argueta took him down. He briefly took mount, but got too high and Aguirre escaped from the bottom by kicking off of the cage. Argueta wound up in Aguirre’s full guard seconds later and he postured up with hammerfists after passing to half-guard. He punched from the top and took Aguirre’s back in the final seconds. Aguirre stood and Argueta slammed him down. 10-9 Argueta.

Winner: Dan Argueta by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 9-1-0.

 

Charles “InnerG” Johnson vs Jimmy “The Brick” Flick

Round 1:
The fight opened with an exchange of leg kicks and Flick took Johnson down, but Johnson reversed it on the way down and wound up on top. Flick got back to his feet and Johnson landed a knee. He followed with a pair of one-twos that stunned Flick and kept the pressure on him with more punches. Flick got Johnson down into back control and Johnson shook him off. He wound up on top in Flick’s guard and he cut Flick’s forehead with elbows. Johnson landed more elbows and punches as Flick did little more than cover up, and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Charles Johnson by TKO (Elbows & Punches) at 4:33 of round one. He improves to 13-3-0.
