Miranda “Fear The” Maverick vs Shanna “The Shanimal” Young

Round 1:
Young had success in the opening 90 seconds with straight right hands each time Maverick stepped forward. Maverick threw a quick combination and shot in for a takedown from too far out. Young easily sidestepped and she landed a body kick as Maverick threw a left hand. Young landed two more straight rights and Maverick clinched. She tripped Young and tried to take her back as Young sat up. Maverick spent the final 20 seconds of the round alternating between mount and back control, landing punches from both. 10-9 Maverick due to the late rally.

Round 2:
The second round began with an early striking exchange and Maverick took Young down into half-guard. She landed short right hands to Young’s face and Young gave up her back. She tried to stand against the cage and Maverick kept her down. Maverick worked for a rear-naked choke, but Young squirmed free and the fighters stood up. Young clinched, but Maverick reversed it and swept out her leg. She mounted Young and rained down right hands and left elbows. Young gave up her back and the round came to an end. 10-9 Maverick. Could be a 10-8 due to the ground control.

Round 3:
Maverick landed a leg kick and three left hands to begin round three. She took Young down into back control and sunk in one hook. Maverick landed elbows to the side of Young’s head while preventing her from getting up. Maverick attempted a rear-naked choke and Young rolled over and gave up mount to escape from it. She was able to power out from the bottom and stood up very briefly. Maverick dragged her down into back control again and alternated between punches and choke attempts. 10-8 Maverick.

Winner: Miranda Maverick by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26) after three rounds. She improves to 11-4-0.

 

Mario Bautista vs Benito “Golden Boy” Lopez

Round 1:
Bautista scored with a hard flurry of punches early on and finished with a chopping leg kick. He followed with two hooks to the body and another leg kick, then went high with punches to Lopez’s face. Bautista took Lopez down and passed to half-guard. Bautista used punches and elbows from the top to set up a pass to mount. He transitioned to a straight armbar and then to a reverse triangle armbar, which forced Lopez to tap out just before the end of the round.

Winner: Mario Bautista by Submission (Reverse Triangle Armbar) at 4:54 of round one. He improves to 11-2-0.

 

Polyana “Dama de Ferro” Viana vs Jinh Yu Frey

Round 1:
Frey landed an early left hook that only seemed to motivate Viana, who immediately countered with a charging barrage of punches. Two of them turned Frey’s lights out and sent her crashing backwards to the canvas. Viana followed up with two hammerfists on the ground before the fight was waved off.

Winner: Polyana Viana by KO (Punches) at 0:47 of round one. She improves to 13-5-0.

 

Johnny “Kid Kvenbo” Munoz Jr. vs Liudvik Sholinian

Round 1:
Munoz landed an overhand right in the opening minute and the fighters traded jabs. Another overhand right scored for Munoz and he followed up with a three-punch combo. Sholinian’s left eye began to redden from the impact of Munoz’s jabs and Munoz landed a step-in knee. He charged at Sholinian with punches in the final seconds and Sholinian slipped while backpedalling. 10-9 Munoz.

Round 2:
Munoz landed a body kick and he countered a lead left hook from Sholinian with an overhand right. Following a brief clinch, Sholinian shot in for a takedown and Munoz sprawled. He tried to take Sholinain’s back while looking for a rear-naked choke, but Sholinain turned into Munoz’s guard and the fighters stood. Sholinian attempted a double-leg takedown and Munoz kept him trapped in a standing guillotine choke as a counter. He used the choke to pull Sholinian down to his knees, but Sholinian escaped. Back on the feet, time was called when Sholinian was kicked in the groin. The fight resumed and the bell sounded seconds later. 10-9 Munoz.

Round 3:
Sholinian was more active on the feet in round three and he used his jab to set up a combination. Munoz took him down and held mount very briefly. Sholinian scrambled up to his feet and he landed a counter right hand as Munoz stepped forward. Both men jabbed and Munoz circled to his left. Sholinian scored with a lead left hook and a winging right hand. Munoz took him down and trapped Sholinian’s legs between his as Sholinian elbowed from the bottom. Close final round. 10-9 Sholinian due to damage.

Winner: Johnny Munoz Jr. by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 12-2-0.

 

Jake “White Kong” Hadley vs Carlos “The Cannon” Candelario

Round 1:
The southpaw fighters exchanged punches to the body right away and the pace remained high as they traded more punches in the ensuing minute. Hadley mixed in body kicks and a step-in elbow. Candelario landed a lead right hook and Hadley responded with a quick flurry and another leg kick. Candelario landed a knee, but Hadley fired back with two left hooks to the liver. The round ended with another exchange of punches. 10-9 Hadley.

Round 2:
Hadley slipped as Candelario landed a body kick and the fighters clinched after he rose to his feet. They separated and Hadley flurried to the body. Candelario took him down, but Hadley immediately countered with a triangle choke and he elbowed the top of Candelario’s head. Candelario initially defended, but Hadley increased the pressure on the choke and Candelario tapped out.

Winner: Jake Hadley by Submission (Triangle Choke) at 2:39 of round two. He improves to 9-1-0.

 

Tamires “Tratora” Vidal vs Ramona Pascual

Round 1:
Pascual opened the fight with jabs and she landed three knees to the body when Vidal closed the distance. A clinch ensued against the cage and Pascual landed a left hand on the break. Vidal landed two body kicks and she was warned for outstretching her fingers. The fight resumed and Vidal threw a jumping switch knee to the liver. It badly hurt Pascual, who collapsed to the mat, and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Tamires Vidal by TKO (Knee To The Body) at 3:06 of round one. She improves to 7-1-0.
