Matthew “Semi The Jedi” Semelsberger vs A.J. “The Ghost” Fletcher

Round 1:
Semelsberger stuffed one takedown in the opening seconds, but Fletcher threw a spinning wheel kick and he got Semelsberger down on his second try. Fletcher passed to mount, but Semelsberger was able to bridge out from the bottom. Fletcher attempted a guillotine choke in a scramble and he used it to retake top position. Working from Semelsberger’s half-guard, Fletcher threw short hammerfists to his face. Semelsberger got back to full guard and he defended against a brief arm-triangle from Fletcher. Seconds later, Fletcher passed back to half-guard and Semelsberger exploded up to his feet against the cage. Fletcher pulled him back down with a guillotine choke that he used to roll into mount. Fletcher postured up with punches and elbows until the end of the round. 10-9 Fletcher. Close to a 10-8.

Round 2:
Semelsberger jabbed in round two, but time was called when Fletcher was poked in the eye. Action resumed and Fletcher took Semelsberger down. Semelsberger got back to his feet and Fletcher tried unsuccessfully to get him back down with a lateral drop. On the feet, Fletcher landed a head kick and Semelsberger jabbed. Fletcher took him down into back control, but he lost the position and Semelsberger wound up on top in Fletcher’s guard. Semelsberger landed some good elbows that opened small cuts above both of Fletcher’s eyebrows, and he remained on top until the bell. 10-9 Semelsberger.

Round 3:
Early in the final round, Semelsberger landed a front kick to Fletcher’s chest and Fletcher returned fire with leg kicks. He got Semelsberger down, but Semelsberger worked back to his feet and he scored an emphatic takedown of his own. Semelsberger landed a short elbow strike from side control and Fletcher got back to full guard. Semelsberger postured up with a hard right hand and he stayed busy enough with ground strikes to avoid being stood up. In the final minute, Semelsberger opened a gash near Fletcher’s right eye with an elbow. Blood poured out of the cut, but Fletcher was able to power out to his feet and he briefly took Semelsberger down. With mere seconds to go, the fighters exchanged heavy punches on the feet. Fletcher landed a big right hook, but Semelsberger answered with a one-two and a knee. 10-9 Semelsberger.

Winner: Matthew Semelsberger by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 10-3-0.

 

J.J. Aldrich vs Gillian “The Savage” Robertson

Round 1:
Both fighters were cautious during the opening minute and Aldrich landed occasional jabs from a distance. She landed a leg kick and Robertson answered with a right hand. Robertson shot in for a takedown from far away and Aldrich easily stepped free. She landed a combination and time was called when both fighters inadvertently poked the other in the eye at the same time. Aldrich got the worst of it, but she recovered and the fight resumed. Aldrich jabbed and Robertson landed a front kick to the body. Aldrich slipped against the cage, but she got back to her feet and fought off a takedown attempt from Robertson. In the final minute, Aldrich followed up on an exchange of leg kicks with a straight left hand. She dumped Robertson to the mat just before the bell. 10-9 Aldrich.

Round 2:
Aldrich landed jab-cross combos in the second round and swelling began to form around Robertson’s left eye. Robertson landed a body kick and she tried to clinch, but Aldrich had none of it. Another combination landed for Aldrich, but this time Robertson was able to drag her down into back control. Within seconds, Aldrich turned over and took top position in Robertson’s guard. She landed a right hand to Robertson’s face, but Robertson kicked her off and rose to her feet. Aldrich sprawled out of a Robertson takedown attempt. Aldrich landed a step-in right hook and she hurt Robertson with a hard kick to the body. 10-9 Aldrich.

Round 3:
Punches were exchanged in the final round and Robertson began to throw leg and body kicks. Aldrich countered a kick with a left cross and that led to a clinch battle against the cage, with both women landing knees to the body. Robertson snuck in two elbow strikes to Aldrich’s face while Aldrich kept her pinned against the fence. When the fighters separated, Aldrich landed three quick punches. Robertson answered with a one-two, but she could not secure a clinch and Aldrich connected with a nice left cross. Robertson resorted to pulling guard and she looked to set up an armbar from the bottom. Aldrich avoided danger and the fight ended with both fighters throwing elbows to the other’s face. 10-9 Aldrich.

Winner: J.J. Aldrich by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 11-4-0.

 

Javid “The Snow Leopard” Basharat vs Trevin “5 Star” Jones

Round 1:
Basharat struck first with a leg kick and Jones responded with a left cross. Basharat continued to kick at Jones’s lead leg from a distance and he followed with a spinning back kick to the body. Jones landed a three-punch flurry and he blocked a body kick. Two left hands landed for Jones, but Basharat fired back with a winging overhand right. The fighters exchanged knees and Basharat’s was far more damaging. Jones was stunned and Basharat landed another knee and punches in close. He attacked Jones’s body with a spinning back kick and a right hook. Jones recovered and he landed three quick punches, followed by a one-two. Basharat landed one more spinning back kick to the body before time expired. 10-9 Basharat.

Round 2:
Jones was more aggressive in the second round and he landed two left crosses followed by a leg kick. After Basharat landed a front kick to the body, Jones stepped forward with a lead right hook. Basharat kicked Jones’s lead leg and thwarted a takedown attempt. Jones landed two left hands, but that seemed to fire up Basharat and he closed the distance with a combination. Jones sidestepped to avoid a spinning back kick and he blocked a head kick attempt from Basharat. Basharat landed a right hand and a step-in knee, but Jones was unfazed. He countered a leg kick from Basharat with a three-punch combo late in the close round. 10-9 Jones by a slim margin.

Round 3:
The final round began with Jones landing a flurry, but Basharat put him on the defensive with leg and body kicks. Jones threw a head kick that was blocked and Basharat grazed with a spinning wheel kick. He closed in with punches, but Jones backed him up with counter hooks and he landed two hard left hands. Jones landed two leg kicks and a left hand late in the fight, and Basharat threw a spinning back kick that appeared to strike Jones in the groin before the bell. Another close round. 10-9 Basharat.

Winner: Javid Basharat by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 12-0-0.

 

Damon “The Leech” Jackson vs Kamuela “The Jawaiian” Kirk

Round 1:
Jackson was aggressive with punching combinations to the head and body right away. Kirk landed a counter knee and he attempted a head kick that was blocked. Kirk stepped forward and landed a left hook to Jackson’s liver, followed by a knee to his jaw. Jackson tried to close the distance and he ate another knee. Both men landed lead left hooks and Kirk followed up with a hard leg kick. Jackson landed a body kick and a strong uppercut that appeared to stun Kirk briefly. Kirk went back to leg kicks and a knee to the body, but Jackson backed him up with a flurry of punches and he took Kirk down into mount. Jackson postured up with punches and Kirk rolled to his side. He got back to half-guard in the process, but Jackson landed more punches and elbows before the bell. 10-9 Jackson.

Round 2:
Jackson immediately took Kirk down in round two and he tried to pass Kirk’s guard while keeping his head pinned against the base of the cage. Kirk struck from the bottom with hammerfists and Jackson finally passed to half-guard with two minutes to go. Kirk got back to full guard and Jackson secured an arm-triangle choke from the top. Kirk kept him trapped in his guard and that prevented Jackson from fully locking in the choke. When Jackson let it go, Kirk attacked with an armbar from the bottom. Jackson freed his arm and passed to half-guard, where he was able to trap Kirk in another arm-triangle choke. This one was tight and Kirk tapped out.

Winner: Damon Jackson by Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) at 4:42 of round two. He improves to 20-4-1, 1 NC.

 

Miranda “Fear The” Maverick vs Sabina “Colombian Queen” Mazo

Round 1:
Maverick darted in and out with kicks and overhand lefts in order to get past Mazo’s long jabs. Maverick clinched and she took Mazo down to the mat. Mazo threw up her legs for an armbar, but Maverick defended well and Mazo gave up on it. The fighters stood and Maverick whipped Mazo down into side control. Mazo stood, but Maverick landed punches on the way up. She tripped Mazo again and landed short elbows to Mazo’s face. Mazo got back to full guard and Maverick punched from the top until the bell. 10-9 Maverick.

Round 2:
Mazo prevented Maverick from clinching in round two, but Maverick was still effective with overhand lefts from a distance. She darted in and out with single strikes until Mazo threw a body kick. Maverick caught it and took Mazo down, then quickly transitioned to her back. She locked on a no-hooks rear-naked choke and Mazo tapped out after briefly fighting it.

Winner: Miranda Maverick by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 2:15 of round two. She improves to 10-4-0.

 

Cody Brundage vs Dalcha “Champion” Lungiambula

Round 1:
Brundage landed a counter right hook as Lungiambula tried to clinch early on. It was Brundage who then shot in for a takedown, but Lungiambula hurt him with a right hand and threw more punches while trapping Brundage in a front headlock. Brundage dropped down to his knees and he tried in vain to drag Lungiambula down. Lungiambula continued to blast him with punches as the fighters rose to their feet. He swarmed on Brundage with knees and punches that had Brundage wobbled. He remained on his feet, however, and grazed with a spinning backfist. Lungiambula chased after Brundage with punches that led to one more clinch. Lungiambula bizarrely decided to take Brundage down and he put himself in a guillotine choke in the process. The choke was tight and Lungiambula tapped out within seconds. Huge mistake from Lungiambula.

Winner: Cody Brundage by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 3:41 of round one. He improves to 7-2-0.

 

Guido “Ninja” Cannetti vs Kris Moutinho

Round 1:
Cannetti landed leg kicks until Moutinho backed him up against the cage with two hooks. Another combination scored for Moutinho, but Cannetti answered with left hooks over the top. Seconds later, he hurt Moutinho with another combination and a wobbly Moutinho retreated to the cage. Cannetti landed knees to the body and more punches. Moutinho stayed on his feet, but Cannetti badly hurt him with a final barrage of punches and Moutinho’s eyes rolled back, prompting referee Chris Tognoni to step in and stop the fight.

Winner: Guido Cannetti by TKO (Punches) at 2:07 of round one. He improves to 9-6-0.

 

Azamat “The Professional” Murzakanov vs Tafon “Da Don” Nchukwi

Round 1:
Murzakanov landed a hard left cross in the opening minute and he followed with an overhand left. Nchukwi caught a kick and Muzakanov spun free with a backfist attempt that missed. Nchukwi landed a counter one-two and he shrugged off a clinch attempt from Murzakanov. A moment later, Nchukwi landed a body kick and a knee, then stepped back to avoid a lunging punch from Murzakanov. The fighters clinched late in the round and Nchukwi landed knees to Murzakanov’s body. 10-9 Nchukwi due to the second-half offence.

Round 2:
Early in the second round, Murzakanov caught a kick and landed a left hand that knocked an off-balance Nchukwi down. He tried to take Nchukwi’s back, but Nchukwi escaped to his feet. Murzakanov slowed down and Nchukwi landed two hard knees to his chest. He fought off a Murzakanov takedown attempt and trapped him in a front headlock. The fighters separated and Nchukwi pressed forward with two jabs and a straight left. Murzakanov finally landed a combination, but Nchukwi backed him up with kicks to the upper body. 10-9 Nchukwi.

Round 3:
Left hands were exchanged in the final round and Murzakanov leapt forward with a flying knee. It landed squarely on Nchukwi’s chin and Nchukwi collapsed backward to the mat, ending the fight.

Winner: Azamat Murzakanov by KO (Flying Knee) at 0:44 of round three. He improves to 11-0-0.
