Macy Chiasson vs Marion “The Belizean Bruiser” Reneau

Round 1:
Chiasson snapped Reneau’s head back with a lead left hook early on and Reneau answered with an overhand right. Chiasson switched stances frequently and Reneau kicked at both of her legs. Chiasson landed a three-punch combo and Reneau cracked her with a right hook in return. Soon after, Reneau pressed forward and landed three quick punches including a right hook to Chiasson’s temple. Reneau circled to her left and landed a leg kick before Chiasson scored with a left hook. Both women landed body kicks and Reneau held Chiasson against the cage. She took Chiasson’s back and peppered her with right hands to the face. 10-9 Reneau.

Round 2:
Reneau opened the second round with a hard right hand, but Chiasson hurt her with a counter hook to the nose. Reneau retreated and blood began to pour from her nose. Chiasson tied her up in a clinch and tried unsuccessfully for a takedown. Reneau landed a knee to the body and followed with more as the clinch battle continued. Chiasson landed an elbow over the top and a left hook to Reneau’s face. Chiasson hurt Reneau with a liver kick on the break, but Reneau landed a hard right hook while backing up. Chiasson landed a one-two and a pair of lead left hooks before Reneau dropped levels and took her down. Chiasson used an impressive heel hook sweep to transition into top position and both women landed punches before the bell. 10-9 Chiasson.

Round 3:
Reneau landed a solid right hand early in the final round and Chiasson pressed forward with a one-two combo. Reneau took Chiasson’s back and dragged her down to one knee, but Chiasson quickly stood up and escaped from the clinch. Reneau lunged forward with two power hooks and she followed with a nice right hand that led to another clinch. Knees were exchanged and Reneau got Chiasson down into full guard. Chiasson stood and Reneau hunted for a standing guillotine choke. Chiasson escaped and both women landed hard uppercuts in close. Chiasson followed with an elbow over the top and a takedown. Reneau tied her up from the bottom until the final seconds when Chiasson landed an elbow and punches to the body. 10-9 Chiasson due to the late rally.

Winner: Macy Chiasson by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 7-1-0.

 

Grant “KGD” Dawson vs Leonardo Santos

Round 1:
Santos stuffed an early takedown attempt from Dawson and countered with an uppercut and a leg kick. Dawson landed two right hands in return and he spun Santos around with a third. Dawson picked Santos up and slammed him down, but Santos immediately returned to his feet. Dawson held him against the cage, but Santos countered with a body lock takedown into side control. Dawson stood back up and Santos opened a cut above his right ear with hammerfists as the fighters battled in a clinch before the bell. 10-9 Dawson, just barely.

Round 2:
Dawson continued to find success with overhand rights in the second round until Santos landed a knee to the body. Time was called when Dawson was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and Dawson landed a right hand and a leg kick. More kicks were exchanged and Dawson shot in for a takedown, but Santos countered with a hard knee to the chest. Dawson held Santos against the fence and threw short punches and knees. The fighters were separated and Santos sprawled out of a Dawson takedown attempt. He took Dawson’s back as the fighters stood and Santos landed a hard right hand late in the close round. 10-9 Santos by a slim margin.

Round 3:
In the final round, Dawson threw winging right hands early on and then shot in for a takedown. Santos defended and stayed on his feet. Grant slammed him down to the mat and landed on top in S-mount. Santos got back to half-guard and Dawson peppered him with left hands to the face. Santos was unable to create a scramble to stand up and Dawson kept him pinned down while landing more left hands. This continued until the final 20 seconds when Dawson transitioned to a top-side crufix. He stood up and landed four brutal hammerfists to Santos’s face that rendered Santos unconscious just before the bell.

Winner: Grant Dawson by KO (Punches) at 4:59 of round three. He improves to 17-1-0.

 

Trevin “The Problem” Giles vs Roman Dolidze

Round 1:
The fighters traded leg kicks throughout the opening minute and Dolidze was warned for outstretching his fingers. Action resumed and more leg kicks were exchanged. Giles landed two hard right hands, but Dolidze countered with a spinning backfist that froze Giles in place momentarily. Dolidze briefly took Giles down and he maintained back control as Giles stood against the cage. Giles turned into the clinch and both men landed knees to the body throughout the final minute. 10-9 Dolidze.

Round 2:
Giles scored with a hard one-two early in the second round and he followed with a jab-hook combo soon after. Dolidze smiled and answered with a combination and a body kick. Two more powerful body kicks scored for Dolidze and the fighters traded power punches. Dolidze dove for Giles’s leg and tried to set up a heel hook as Giles punched him in the face. Dolidze continued to try to set up a heel hook, but Giles defended well and he repeatedly scored with punches and hammerfists. Dolidze finally gave up on the submission attempt and stood up. He held Giles against the cage and threw knees to the Giles’s thigh. 10-9 Giles due to damage.

Round 3:
Punches were exchanged in the final round until Giles hurt Dolidze with a lunging jab to the nose. He followed up with a right hand as blood began to pour out of Dolidze’s nose and Dolidze dove for a takedown. He wound up on the bottom and Giles rose to his feet. Dolidze managed to take Giles down and he rolled for a heel hook. Giles escaped and Dolidze held him down against the base of the cage. Giles stood up and landed a nice right hand, but an exhausted Dolidze managed to get him down and he threw hammerfists to Giles’s face. Giles stood and countered a late Dolidze takedown with a triangle choke attempt, which Dolidze easily escaped from. Back-and-forth round. 10-9 Giles by a slim margin.

Winner: Trevin Giles by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 14-2-0.

 

Montel “Quik” Jackson vs Jesse “Sui Generis” Strader

Round 1:
Strader opened the action with a series of kicks to Jackson’s lead leg and body. Jackson attempted a head kick and Strader continued to attack his right leg with more kicks. The fighters clinched and traded knees, and Jackson dropped Strader with a huge right hook on the break. Strader recovered and returned to his feet, but Jackson dropped him with a left hook and followed with more punches on the ground until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Montel Jackson by TKO (Punches) at 1:58 of round one. He improves to 10-2-0.

 

Bruno “Bulldog” Silva vs J.P. “Young Savage” Buys

Round 1:
Time was called almost immediately when Buys was kicked in the groin. The fight resumed and Silva landed a calf kick. Time was then called a second time when Buys was poked in his left eye. Action continued and Silva landed a hard right hand. He caught a kick from Buys and knocked him to the ground with an overhand right. Silva struck from the top and briefly passed to half-guard. Buys got back to full guard and then stood up against the cage, but Silva slammed him down again. Buys used a kimura to get back to his feet and the fighters separated. Silva landed an uppercut-hook combo and he pinned Buys against the fence. Just before the bell, Silva rocked Buys with a spinning backfist. 10-9 Silva.

Round 2:
Buys was more aggressive in the second round and he pressed forward with combinations of two jabs and a head kick. He slipped on the mat and Silva took advantage by working from top position. Buys scrambled up and blocked a head kick. Silva slowed down and Buys pursued him with more jabs and a right hand. Silva fired back with an overhand right and a combination. He dropped Buys with a right hook and followed with more punches on the ground. Buys tried to stand and Silva knocked him down again with an uppercut. Buys weathered a storm of punches on the ground and stood up, but he was dropped once more by a right hook to the temple and the fight was waved off.

Winner: Bruno Silva by TKO (Punch) at 2:56 of round two. He improves to 11-5-2, 1 NC.
