Alexander “The Great” Hernandez vs Chris “Gritz” Gruetzemacher

Round 1:
Both men landed quick leg kicks and right hands to open the fight. Hernandez continued to score with leg kicks and he followed with an overhand right to Gruetzemacher’s jaw. Hernandez landed more right hands and a head kick, then dropped Gruetzemacher to one knee with a lead left hook. Gruetzemacher stood against the cage and Hernandez unloaded with left and right hooks that sent an unconscious Gruetzemacher crashing to the mat.

Winner: Alexander Hernandez by KO (Punches) at 1:46 of round one. He improves to 12-3-0.

 

Adrian Yanez vs “Vicious” Victor Rodriguez

Round 1:
Rodriguez shot in for a takedown right away and he held Yanez against the fence. Yanez countered with knees and he broke free from the clinch. Rodriguez scored with two overhand rights, but he was backed up by a counter right hook from Yanez. More punches landed for Yanez and he dropped Rodriguez with a short right cross. Rodriguez returned to his feet and Yanez landed a hard one-two that set up a left head kick. Rodriguez collapsed to the mat and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Adrian Yanez by KO (Head Kick) at 2:46 of round one. He improves to 12-3-0.

 

Sean “Tarzan” Strickland vs Jack “The Hammer” Marshman

Round 1:
Strickland walked Marshman down with left-right combos early in the fight and he followed with long jabs that snapped Marshman’s head back. Marshman landed a leg kick and Strickland continued to redden his face with jabs. He countered a leg kick from Marshman with two looping hooks and Marshman backed up. Strickland remained the aggressor as the round progressed, but Marshman did land a kick-punch combo as he circled away. Strickland closed in with heavy punches and landed a big flurry against the cage. Marshman held strong and he continued to throw single kicks and punches from a distance. A big right hook landed for Marshman late in the round. 10-9 Strickland.

Round 2:
The second round began with Strickland landing a jab-cross combo and Marshman’s face swelled up around both eyes. Strickland opened a cut below Marshman’s right eye with more jabs and Marshman responded with a left hook to the liver. Strickland’s jab continued to give Marshman problems as the round progressed and Marshman struggled to land anything significant in return. An overhand right scored for Strickland in the final seconds and he sidestepped a lunging left from Marshman. 10-9 Strickland.

Round 3:
Strickland began to trash talk in the final round as he fired off jab-hook combos and overhand rights. Apart from looping right hands, Marshman was unable to land much of anything as Strickland’s superior speed kept him ahead in the exchanges. Strickland taunted Marshman non-stop throughout the final round as he bloodied Marshman’s face with jabs and right hands. Marshman finally connected with a solid right hook, but Strickland finished the round with a three-punch flurry. 10-9 Strickland.

Winner: Sean Strickland by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 21-3-0.

 

Jason “The Vanilla Gorilla” Witt vs Cole Williams

Round 1:
Witt immediately shot in for a takedown and he slammed Williams down near the base of the cage. Witt took Williams’s back, but Williams scrambled and he fought his way back to full guard. Witt struck from the top with short punches and elbows that opened a cut on Williams’s forehead. More elbows scored for Witt and a second, much larger cut opened above Williams’s left eye. Williams bled profusely all over the canvas as Witt continued to pepper him with punches until the end of the round. 10-8 Witt.

Round 2:
The second round began with Witt landing right hands and a body kick. He elevated Williams again and slammed him down to the mat. Witt re-opened the cut above Williams’s eye with elbows and he looked for a rear-naked choke in a scramble. Williams rolled to his back and Witt mounted him. He locked on an arm-triangle choke from the top and a badly bloodied Williams tapped out.

Winner: Jason Witt by Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) at 2:09 of round two. He improves to 18-6-0.

 

Dustin “The Hanyak” Jacoby vs Justin “El Blanco” Ledet

Round 1:
Jacoby kicked at Ledet’s lead leg in the opening minute and he followed with a right hook that stunned Ledet momentarily. Ledet recovered and he used his jab to set up an overhand right. Two more right hands scored for Ledet, but Jacoby hurt him with two hard leg kicks. A third leg kick dropped Ledet to the mat and Jacoby tried to finish him off with ground and pound. Ledet managed to get back to his feet against the cage, but Jacoby landed a big right uppercut and Ledet fell face-first to the canvas.

Winner: Dustin Jacoby by KO (Punch) at 2:38 of round one. He improves to 13-5-0.

 

Miles “Chapo” Johns vs Kevin “Quicksand” Natividad

Round 1:
Natividad opened the action with a leg kick and Johns responded with a short right uppercut. He clinched and worked for a takedown against the cage, but Natividad defended well and circled away. Johns landed jabs and lead left hooks, then used a single-leg takedown to briefly get Natividad down to the mat. Natividad stood and he landed a quick flurry before Johns clinched once more. Natividad broke free and he remained the aggressor with forward movement and punches until the bell. Close round. 10-9 Johns.

Round 2:
Natividad kept the pressure on with right hands and a leg kick in the second round as Johns jabbed and circled on the outside. He dropped levels for a single-leg takedown and got Natividad down momentarily. Natividad stood against the cage and he threw elbows to the side of Johns’s head until referee Chris Tognoni separated the fighters. Natividad missed with a flying knee attempt and Johns landed a powerful leg kick and a lead left hook in return. In the final minute, Johns landed a spinning backfist and he shot in for a takedown, but Natividad defended. Another competitive round. 10-9 Johns.

Round 3:
Johns jabbed to begin the final round and both men landed overhand rights. Natividad pressed forward with more right hands and Johns kept his distance with quick jabs. The fighters traded leg kicks and Johns continued to circle on the outside. He looked for a takedown with three minutes to go and Natividad stuffed it. The fighters briefly traded punches and Natividad tried to back away from the clinch, but Johns cracked him with a devastating uppercut and Natividad fell unconscious to the mat.

Winner: Miles Johns by KO (Punch) at 2:51 of round three. He improves to 11-1-0.
