Brad “Quake” Riddell vs Alex “Leko” da Silva Coelho

Round 1:
Da Silva landed a hard left hook in the opening seconds and Riddell responded with a combination. Da Silva took him down into half-guard and landed short strikes from the top. Riddell used the cage wall to work back up to his feet and da Silva took his back. He pulled Riddell back down to the mat and landed two knees on the way up. Da Silva secured another takedown and he nearly sunk in both hooks from back control. Riddell scrambled free and rose to his feet. The fighters separated and da Silva countered strikes from Riddell with a tight guillotine choke. He used it to pull Riddell back down to the mat, but Riddell defended well in the final seconds. 10-9 da Silva.

Round 2:
Both men landed flurries of punches early in round two before da Silva clinched and worked for a takedown against the cage. Riddell broke free and both men landed leg kicks. Riddell ducked into a knee from da Silva, but he appeared to be unfazed and the fighters continued to trade punches. Da Silva faked a takedown and landed a side kick to Riddell’s lead leg. Riddell attempted a takedown and both men landed hard one-twos. Riddell kept the pressure on with a combination to the head and body of da Silva. Riddell dumped da Silva to the mat and he landed punches on the way up. Da Silva attempted a takedown of his own and Riddell stuffed it. Da Silva landed an uppercut late in the round and Riddell responded with a three-punch combo. 10-9 Riddell.

Round 3:
Da Silva landed a combination to begin the final round, but Riddell was relentless with his offensive pressure and he scored with some nice flurries in the ensuing minute. Riddell stuffed a takedown and he landed overhand rights and lefts, then an elbow as Da Silva pressed forward and clinched. After the fighters separated, Riddell landed a left hook to da Silva’s right eye. It was incorrectly seen as an eye poke by the referee and time was called. The fight continued and Riddell continued to back da Silva up with punches as da Silva’s right eye closed. In the final minute, Riddell worked for a takedown against the cage. Da Silva fought him off and Riddell landed a combination. He dumped da Silva to the mat, but da Silva scrambled up and took his back. 10-9 Riddell.

Winner: Brad Riddell by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 9-1-0.

 

Jake “The Celtic Kid” Matthews vs Diego “The Nightmare” Sanchez

Round 1:
Sanchez rushed forward right away and Matthews cracked him with three right hands after catching a kick. The fighters separated and Matthews landed a flurry of punches followed by an uppercut. Sanchez answered back with a looping right hook and Matthews responded with a head kick. Two right hooks scored for Matthews and Sanchez landed a body kick in return. Left hooks were exchanged and Matthews countered Sanchez’s forward movement with a quick one-two. Matthews stuffed a takedown and landed two punches before taking Sanchez down into half-guard. Sanchez attempted a heel hook in return and Matthews blasted him with two huge right hands before the bell. 10-9 Matthews.

Round 2:
Matthews picked his shots with jabs and straight right hands in the second round as a now-bloodied Sanchez circled on the outside. Matthews clipped Sanchez with a lead left hook and sidestepped his lunging punches. A quick flurry landed for Matthews and Sanchez grazed with counter hooks. Sanchez threw a leg kick and Matthews connected with a hard one-two in return. He followed with another two-punch combo and followed with a quick flurry. Sanchez landed a leg kick late in the round and Matthews responded with three punches. 10-9 Matthews.

Round 3:
The final round began with Matthews landing a combination and he dropped Sanchez with a right cross. Matthews dove in with punches on the ground and Sanchez began to bleed heavily from above his right eye. Sanchez regained full guard and he attempted a guillotine choke from the bottom. Matthews pulled his head out and Sanchez kicked him off. Matthews dropped back down into Sanchez’s guard and he landed occasional right hands. Sanchez tried to spin into an armbar from the bottom and Matthews countered with hammerfists. Sanchez tried again for an armbar, but Matthews stayed calm and worked his way free. He struck from the top with punches and hammerfists until the final bell. 10-8 Matthews.

Winner: Jake Matthews by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26) after three rounds. He improves to 17-4-0.

 

Ludovit “Mr. Highlight” Klein vs “Sugar” Shane Young

Round 1:
The fight began with an exchange of jabs and body kicks. Klein landed a hard jab and a head kick, then immediately followed with an uppercut-hook combo that sent an unconscious Young crashing to the mat.

Winner: Ludovit Klein by KO (Head Kick & Punches) at 1:16 of round one. He improves to 17-2-0.

 

William “Knightmare” Knight vs Aleksa Camur

Round 1:
The fighters clinched and traded knees in a clinch battle against the cage early on. This continued as the round progressed and Camur attacked Knight’s legs and body. He tried to trip Knight, but Knight defended well and remained on his feet. The fighters were separated and Knight landed a hard leg kick. He followed with a five-punch flurry just before the bell. Uneventful round. 10-9 Knight by a slim margin due to the late offence.

Round 2:
After a brief exchange of strikes, Camur clinched early in the second round and he took Knight down into back control. Knight spun into Camur’s guard and he attempted a guillotine choke as the fighters returned to their feet. Camur held him against the cage and Knight countered by tossing him to the mat. He landed hard right hands and looked for a guillotine choke as Camur worked his way back up. Knight reversed a takedown and he landed right hands from the top in side control. Camur tried to scramble free and Knight landed punches from S-mount. He fully mounted Camur and locked on a tight keylock, but Camur held on until the bell. 10-9 Knight.

Round 3:
Knight took Camur back down in the final round and he once again worked from the top in side control. Camur scrambled and stood up as Knight tried to hop on his back. He fell off and Camur took top position on the ground. He could not hold Knight down for long and Knight controlled a clinch against the cage. He dumped Camur to the mat and landed punches from S-mount. Camur held on from the bottom and Knight landed one more elbow before time expired. 10-9 Knight.

Winner: William Knight by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 9-1-0.

 

Juan Francisco “El Guapo” Espino Dieppa vs Jeff “Lights Out” Hughes

Round 1:
After a cautious opening minute, Espino landed two looping hooks and he secured a takedown against the cage soon after. Espino passed to side control and he landed short right hands as Hughes scrambled up to his feet. Espino dragged him back down and landed more punches. He was unable to sink in both hooks and Hughes sat down against the base of the cage. As he stood, Espino took him down into mount. He transitioned to a scarf hold and Hughes tapped out almost immediately.

Winner: Juan Francisco Espino Dieppa by Submission (Scarf Hold) at 3:48 of round one. He improves to 10-1-0.

 

Danilo Marques vs Khadis Ibragimov

Round 1:
Marques shot in for an early takedown and Ibragimov briefly looked for a guillotine choke as the fighters battled for position against the fence. Ibragimov grabbed the cage as Marques dragged him down, which resulted in Ibragimov holding mount position long enough to land a handful of punches. Marques scrambled free and held back control as Ibragimov rose to his feet. The fighters separated and Ibragimov rushed forward with punches. Marques landed a hard right hand in return and he worked for a takedown against the cage. Marques secured a takedown into back control and he attacked with rear-naked choke attempts until the bell. Close round. 10-9 Marques.

Round 2:
After a very uneventful first half to the second round, Marques clinched and he once again took Ibragimov down into back control. He kept Ibragimov trapped in position and worked for a kimura on Ibragimov’s right arm, but Ibragimov defended until the end of the dreadful round. 10-9 Marques.

Round 3:
Punches were exchanged early in the final round and Ibragimov grabbed the cage again to thwart a Marques takedown attempt. He was warned once more and action continued. Ibragimov landed a flurry to the head and body, which prompted Marques to rush in with punches of his own. Ibragimov trapped him in a tight guillotine choke, but Marques spun free and he took Ibragimov down. A scramble followed and Ibragimov swept into top position. Marques countered with submission attempts from the bottom and he took Ibragimov’s back in an ensuing scramble. He remained there until the end of the round. Terrible fight. 10-9 Marques.
