“The” James Krause vs Sergio “The Panther” Moraes

Round 1:
Moraes scored a quick takedown into side control, but he did nothing with the position and there was almost no action for the next two minutes. Krause eventually scrambled and Moraes tried to take his back. Krause spun into Moraes’s guard and he landed short strikes while also covering Moraes’s mouth. A scramble ensued and the fighters stood up. Krause hurt Moraes with leg kicks, but Moraes answered with a rushing one-two. He clinched and worked for a takedown before the bell. 10-9 Moraes.

Round 2:
The second round began with Moraes landing looping punches and Krause countering with another hard leg kick. He jabbed and followed with a right hand. Moraes threw slow punches in return, but Krause answered with a leg kick and punches that dropped Moraes. Krause allowed him to stand and he walked Moraes down with punches. Moraes landed right hands in return, but he continued to retreat as Krause pursued. Krause threw left hooks to the body until Moraes answered with a spinning back elbow. Krause dropped Moraes again with punches to the head and body, but Moraes made it to the bell. 10-8 Krause.

Round 3:
Krause jabbed and mixed in leg kicks that backed Moraes up in the final round. Moraes responded with lead left hooks that repeatedly landed. Krause kept the pressure on with jabs and hooks until Moraes flopped to his back after a failed takedown attempt. The crowd booed and Moraes slowly returned to his feet. Krause continued to jab and he followed with right hands. After avoiding a sloppy takedown attempt, Krause landed a big right hand that sent Moraes crashing to the canvas in the final minute to end the fight.

Winner: James Krause by KO (Punch) at 4:19 of round three. He improves to 27-7-0.

 

Ricardo Ramos vs Luiz Eduardo Garagorri

Round 1:
After an exchange of leg and body kicks, Ramos scored with a quick one-two. He ducked under a combination from Garagorri and tripped him to the mat. Garagorri scrambled up and Ramos took him down for a second time after landing a kick. He took Garagorri’s back and stayed on it as Garagorri stood up. Ramos locked on a standing rear-naked choke and he used it to drag Garagorri back down to the mat. Garagorri could not escape and tapped out.

Winner: Ricardo Ramos by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 3:57 of round one. He improves to 14-2-0.

 

Francisco “Massaranduba” Trinaldo vs “King” Bobby Green

Round 1:
Both men evaded power punches and kicks from the other in the opening minute. Trinaldo dropped Green with a left hand and a scramble ensued on the ground. Green attempted a kimura and Trinaldo trapped him in a guillotine choke soon after. Green freed himself and landed punches from the top until Trinaldo scrambled and got back to his knees. Green prevented Trinaldo from taking him down and landed a knee to Trinaldo’s chest in the process. He moved to side control and then to another kimura attempt. Trinaldo stood up and slammed Green down, but Green took top position again and he landed short strikes before the end of the back-and-forth round. 10-9 Green.

Round 2:
Green jabbed in round two and Trinaldo responded with leg kicks. He missed with wild overhand punches but landed more leg kicks soon after. Green taunted with his hands down and landed single kicks and punches. Jabs and left hands landed for Green as Trinaldo missed with more lunging punches. Trinaldo landed leg kicks late in the round, but Green continued to find success with jab-cross combos. 10-9 Green.

Round 3:
Trinaldo struck first with punches in the final round and Green answered with a body kick and a right hand to the ribs seconds later. Trinaldo missed with a head kick and he pressed forward with punches that briefly backed Green up. Green took Trinaldo down after catching a kick and he secured a front headlock as Trinaldo battled back to his feet. Green took him down again and Trinaldo worked back to his feet. He landed knees in a clinch and Green broke free. Both men landed punches late in the close round and Green kicked to the body. 10-9 Trinaldo, barely. Fight could go either way.

Winner: Francisco Trinaldo by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 24-7-0.

 

Randy “Rude Boy” Brown vs Warlley Alves

Round 1:
Alves caught a kick and dumped Brown to the mat right away. He struck from the top until Brown battled back to his feet against the cage. Alves threw him back down and landed on top in a partial mount, but Brown scrambled and attempted a heel hook. Alves stood up, then dropped back down into Brown’s guard with diving punches. He took Brown’s back soon after and worked for a rear-naked choke. Brown defeded and he turned into Alves’s guard in the final minute. Alves scrambled up and ate a knee on the way. Brown threw Alves to the mat and landed on top in side control just before time expired. 10-9 Alves.

Round 2:
Brown landed a head kick in round two, but Alves caught the leg and tripped him to the mat. Brown countered with a triangle choke from his back. Alves fought it initially, but Brown tightened the choke and Alves was forced to submit.

Winner: Randy Brown by Submission (Triangle Choke) at 1:22 of round two. He improves to 12-3-0.

 

Douglas “D’Silva” Silva de Andrade vs Renan “Barao” Pegado

Round 1:
Silva de Andrade countered a missed kick from Pegado with a lunging one-two in the opening seconds. Silva de Andrade landed a right hook to the body and Pegado responded with two quick punches and a leg kick. He followed with more leg kicks and took Silva de Andrade down soon after. Pegado struck from the top in Silva de Andrade’s half-guard until the referee stood the fighters up. Silva de Andrade landed a big flurry of punches and the fighters clinched against the fence. Pegado broke free and Silva de Andrade landed kicks. The fighters traded punches late in the close round. 10-9 Silva de Andrade by a slim margin.

Round 2:
Both fighters landed kicks early in the second round and Silva de Andrade remained aggressive with punches to the head and body. Pegado responded with a takedown and he peppered Silva de Andrade with punches to the head and body. The fighters were stood up and Silva de Andrade landed a head kick and a combination. Pegado looked for a takedown and Silva de Andrade countered with a knee to the body. Time was called to check on a cut that had been opened above Pegado’s left eye. Action resumed and Pegado blocked a head kick. Both men landed left hooks and Pegado followed with a combination before the bell. 10-9 Pegado.

Round 3:
The final round began with an exchange of left hands and Silva de Andrade landed the better shots. Pegado attempted a takedown and Silva de Andrade immediately returned to his feet. He pressed forward with punches and a knee. Pegado attempted another takedown, but he ate an uppercut for his efforts and Silva de Andrade stayed on his feet. Pegado landed a solid one-two, but he could not get Silva de Andrade down. A hard elbow wobbled Pegado and Silva de Andrade followed with two hooks. Both men slowed down as fatigue set in and Silva de Andrade landed more single punches. He stuffed Pegado’s takedowns and landed hard kicks before the bell. 10-9 Silva de Andrade.

Winner: Douglas Silva de Andrade by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 26-3-0, 1 NC.

 

Ariane “Violence Queen” Lipski vs Isabela “Belinha” de Pádua

Round 1:
Lipski pressed forward right away with hard punches and she dropped de Pádua with a big right hand. Lipski dove in with punches on the ground and de Pádua recovered while keeping Lipski in her guard. Lipski postured up with elbows and stood up to avoid an armbar attempt. De Pádua rose to her feet and Lipski landed another big flurry, but de Pádua managed to get her down. De Pádua landed short elbows and punches from the top until the final seconds of the round when Lipski attacked with a kneebar attempt. 10-9 Lipski.

Round 2:
Lipski began round two with another flurry of punches and she reversed a takedown into top position. Lipski moved to half-guard and peppered de Pádua with punches. Time was called after de Pádua landed an illegal upkick to Lipski’s face. De Pádua was docked one point and the fight was restarted on the ground. Lipski stayed busy with punches to de Pádua’s face and body. Late in the round, de Pádua attempted an inverted triangle choke and she wrenched back on Lipski’s arm as well, but Lipski made it to the bell. 10-8 Lipski.

Round 3:
De Pádua caught a kick and took Lipski down early in the final round. Lipski countered by spinning into a kneebar attempt from the bottom and de Pádua punched her way free. A scramble followed and Lipski wound up on top in de Pádua’s guard after escaping from a guillotine choke. Lipski threw short hammerfists as de Pádua tried to limit her offence. Lipski landed more punches and elbows and she passed to half-guard just before the bell. Close final round. 10-9 Lipski, barely.

Winner: Ariane Lipski by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 29-27) after three rounds. She improves to 12-5-0.

 

Tracy Cortez vs Vanessa “Miss Simpatia” Melo

Round 1:
Cortez opened the fight with left hands and body kicks, and she followed with a one-two. Melo answered back with counter hooks each time Cortez threw a kick. Cortez slipped while attempting a kick, but quickly returned to her feet and the fighters traded more punches. Cortez landed a hard right hand and she followed with a flurry after Melo stuffed a takedown. Melo landed a combination in the final minute, but Cortez responded with a lunging flurry of punches in return. She scored with a right hand and a knee late in the round. 10-9 Cortez.

Round 2:
The second round began with Cortez backing Melo up against the cage in search of a takedown. Melo stayed on her feet and Cortez landed knees. She continued to land short strikes in close until she was able to drag Melo down to the mat. Melo tried to stand and Cortez took her back in the process. She tripped Melo again and tried to hop on her back, but Melo stood up again and worked to shrug her off. 10-9 Cortez.

Round 3:
Melo landed a solid counter combination in the final round and she followed with more punches until Cortez countered with a takedown into half-guard. She spent most of the round landing short punches and elbows from top position. Melo tried to scramble up to her feet with one minute remaining and Cortez punished her with elbows. She punched to the head and body and kept Melo pinned down. Cortez stood up and dropped a huge left hand to Melo’s face with 15 seconds remaining. She landed punches and elbows until the final bell. 10-9 Cortez.
