Jason Saggo vs Leandro “Buscape” Silva

Round 1:
Cautious leg kicks were exchanged until Silva landed a hard body kick in the opening minute. Saggo caught a kick and took Silva down into half-guard. He landed short punches and hammerfists while working to trap Silva’s left arm. Saggo landed more punches and prevented Silva from sweeping. The fight eventually returned to the feet and Silva rushed in with left hands. Both men landed body kicks late in the round. 10-9 Saggo.

Round 2:
Silva attempted a head kick in round two and Saggo replied with one of his own. Silva connected with a left cross and more head kicks were exchanged. Silva looked for a takedown, but Saggo defended and he threw another head kick. Silva punched his way into another clinch and Saggo circled out. Silva knocked him down with a chopping leg kick. Saggo stood and shot in for a takedown. Silva easily defended and he continued to mix things up with leg kicks and punches. He took Saggo down shortly before the bell. 10-9 Silva.

Round 3:
Little transpired in round three until Saggo landed a nice one-two and a series of jabs. He clinched with Silva against the cage, but Silva fought him off. Saggo targeted the body with kicks and he kept Silva guessing. Saggo countered a left hand from Silva with a flurry of punches and more kicks. Silva caught a kick and tripped Saggo to the mat. Saggo kicked him off and the fighters exchanged punches on the ground. 10-9 Saggo.

Winner: Jason Saggo by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 12-2-0.

 

Misha Cirkunov vs Ion Cutelaba

Round 1:
Cutelaba countered Cirkunov’s early kicks with huge punches that backed Cirkunov up. He recovered and cracked Cutelaba with a lunging one-two. Cutelaba dropped him with a right hook behind the ear, but Cirkunov stood and landed a nice left hand. He followed with another one, but Cutelaba was unfazed. He reversed a takedown into mount, but Cirkunov scrambled and escaped out the back. Cirkunov landed punches and knocked Cutelaba off-balance with a counter left. Two more left hands landed for Cirkunov late in the close round. 10-9 Cutelaba.

Round 2:
Round two began with an exchange of lead hooks and Cirkunov flurried over the top. Cirkunov jabbed and mixed in straight lefts. A spinning back elbow connected for Cutelaba, but Cirkunov responded with a four-punch flurry. Both men landed uppercuts in a clinch and Cirkunov held Cutelaba against the fence. 10-9 Cirkunov.

Round 3:
Cirkunov attacked the body in round three and took Cutelaba down after landing a Superman punch. He transitioned to side control and locked on an arm-triangle choke. Cirkunov passed to the opposite side and tightened the choke, and Cutelaba immediately tapped out.

Winner: Misha Cirkunov by Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) at 1:22 of round three. He improves to 12-2-0.

 

Krzysztof Jotko vs Tamdan “The Barn Cat” McCrory

Round 1:
After an early exchange of kicks, Jotko landed a massive left hand that froze McCrory in place. He collapsed to the mat and Jotko landed two more hammerfists that rendered McCrory completely unconscious.

Winner: Krzysztof Jotko by KO (Punches) at 0:59 of round one. He improves to 18-1-0.

 

Joe “One Bad Mofo” Soto vs Chris “The Real Deal” Beal

Round 1:
The fighters traded jabs and body kicks in round one and Beal fought off a takedown attempt. He targeted the body with punches and landed more stiff jabs. Soto tried to pull guard and Beal had none of it. He flurried with punches and Soto was forced to cover up. Beal landed another combination before the end of the round. 10-9 Beal.

Round 2:
Beal circled on the outside and picked his shots with punches in round two. He backed Soto up with a quick combination and followed with another one. Soto knocked him off-balance with a jab and began to taunt as the fighters traded hard shots. Soto wobbled Beal with left hooks and he used a guillotine choke to sweep into top position. He took Beal’s back seconds later and worked for a rear-naked choke. Beal defended, but Soto landed punches from top position until the bell. 10-9 Soto.

Round 3:
Soto missed with a cartwheel kick but landed right hands in the final round. Beal backed him up with two combinations and he stunned Soto with a pair of overhand rights. Soto connected with a right hook, but Beal tagged him with more counterpunches. Soto dragged Beal down and locked on a body triangle from back control. He flattened Beal out and secured a rear-naked choke. Beal tried to hold on, but ultimately tapped out.

Winner: Joe Soto by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 3:39 of round three. He improves to 16-5-0.

 

Elias “The Spartan” Theodorou vs “Smile’n” Sam Alvey

Round 1:
Theodorou threw kicks throughout the opening round and kept his distance. Alvey attempted almost no strikes at all in return until the final minute. He scored with a leg kick and a flurry, but Theodorou outlanded him by a tremendous margin through five minutes. 10-9 Theodorou.

Round 2:
The fighters clinched briefly in round two and Theodorou resumed kicking from a distance. Alvey lunged in with an uppercut and Theodorou countered by clinching. Referee John McCarthy separated the fighters and Theodorou landed a body kick. 10-9 Theodorou.

Round 3:
Theodorou took Alvey’s back on the feet and landed a combination as the fighters separated. Alvey eventually landed a body kick and a right hook. Theodorou took his back again and pinned him against the cage. Theodorou used kicks to keep his distance from Alvey until the end of the lacklustre fight. 10-9 Theodorou.

Winner: Elias Theodorou by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 12-1-0.

 

Randa “Quiet Storm” Markos vs Jocelyn “Lights Out” Jones-Lybarger

Round 1:
Markos opened the action with leg kicks and a combination. The fighters traded hooks and Markos scored with another flurry. She punished Jones-Lybarger with numerous uppercuts in a clinch, but Jones-Lybarger reversed position against the cage and threw knees to the body. Both women landed punches and Markos returned to uppercuts. Jones-Lybarger secured a takedown, but Markos countered with a heel hook attempt. She kept Jones-Lybarger’s leg trapped and peppered her with left hands until the end of the round. 10-9 Markos.

Round 2:
Both women landed hooks in round two and Jones-Lybarger stuffed a takedown. Markos stuck to punches while Jones-Lybarger mixed in body kicks. She sprawled out of another takedown attempt and landed a nice left hook that set off an exchange of power punches. Markos connected with stiff jabs and a combination. She finished the close round with a brief flurry. 10-9 Markos by a slim margin.

Round 3:
Jones-Lybarger landed a solid four-punch combination to begin the final round. Markos took her back and dragged her down to the mat, but Jones-Lybarger quickly regained her footing. The fighters separated and both women landed single punches. Markos backed Jones-Lybarger up with a lunging flurry and she tried for a takedown. Jones-Lybarger stayed on her feet, but Markos kept her on the defensive with jabs. She landed a spinning backfist late in the round. 10-9 Markos.

Winner: Randa Markos by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 6-3-0.

 

Colby “Chaos” Covington vs Jonathan “The French Spider” Meunier

Round 1:
Covington clinched and worked for a takedown against the cage in the opening minute. He got Meunier down into side control, but Meunier scrambled up to his feet. Covington took him down to one knee and landed occasional right hands to the face from a partial back control. Meunier briefly stood, but Covington slammed him down again. He landed short punches from the top until the fighters were stood up shortly before the end of the uneventful round. 10-9 Covington.

Round 2:
Covington took Meunier down into back control in round two. Meunier fought back to full guard and looked to set up a kimura. He switched to a heel hook and punched from the bottom. Covington initiated a scramble and landed a series of punches to the side of Meunier’s head. He prevented Meunier from standing up and stayed on his back. Meunier rolled for a kneebar attempt, but Covington took his back again and finished the round by attacking with an arm-triangle choke. 10-9 Covington.

Round 3:
Early in the final round, Covington floored Meunier with a spinning backfist. He unloaded with punches on the ground and took Meunier’s back. Within seconds, Covington locked on a tight rear-naked choke and Meunier was forced to submit.

Winner: Colby Covington by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 0:54 of round three. He improves to 9-1-0.

 

Ali “Puncher” Bagautinov vs Geane “The Revolutionary” Herrera

Round 1:
The fight began with an exchange of power punches and leg kicks. Bagautinov scored with a body kick and he followed with a series of left hands. He took Herrera down and avoided a heel hook attempt. Bagautinov stood over Herrera and rained down heavy punches. Herrera tried for a triangle choke late in the round, but Bagautinov punched his way free. 10-9 Bagautinov.

Round 2:
Bagautinov landed a variety of kicks in round two and he took Herrera down again. Herrera locked on an inverted triangle choke and he attacked with a kimura. Bagautinov fought his way free and punched from top position until Herrera scrambled up to his feet. He took Bagautinov down and transitioned to his back, but lost the position. Bagautinov postured up with ground and pound and tagged Herrera with some huge shots. Herrera escaped to his feet and threw a flying knee before the bell. 10-9 Bagautinov.

Round 3:
Bagautinov targeted Herrera’s body and lead leg with kicks in the final round. Herrera countered with jumping knees and uppercuts in a clinch. Bagautinov tripped him into side control, but Herrera countered with a rolling kimura that had Bagautinov in all sorts of trouble as his arm was twisted behind his back. Bagautinov somehow escaped and stood up. He was unsuccessful with a late takedown attempt, but ultimately got Herrera down and landed punches until the end of the fight. Close round. 10-9 Bagautinov, barely.

Winner: Ali Bagautinov by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 14-4-0.
