Brian “T-City” Ortega vs Clay “The Carpenter” Guida

Round 1:
Guida dropped Ortega with an early one-two, but Ortega quickly returned to his feet. Guida pressed forward with punches and initiated a clinch against the cage. Ortega pushed him away and the fighters traded punches. Guida landed a nice combination and he stunned Ortega with an overhand right. 10-9 Guida.

Round 2:
Guida remained the aggressor in the second round and he mixed up his strikes with combinations, lead left hooks and leg kicks. He snapped Ortega’s head back with stiff jabs and lead left hands. A flurry to the head and body scored for Guida, but Ortega answered with a counter left. The fighters traded punches against the cage and Ortega landed a hard uppercut. He followed with a spinning back kick to the body. 10-9 Guida.

Round 3:
Both men landed single punches and leg kicks early in round three. Guida picked his shots with lead left hands and right hooks. He backed Ortega up with feints and by targeting the body with punches. Ortega looked to establish his job, but Guida answered back with one-twos. Ortega landed a spinning back kick to the body and Guida replied with an overhand right. Hard right hands landed for both men and Ortega picked up the pace. He landed knees and pressed forward with left hooks. Guida ducked into a right knee from Ortega and went careening to the canvas. Huge comeback win for Ortega.

Winner: Brian Ortega by KO (Knee) at 4:40 of round three. He improves to 11-0-0, 1 NC.

 

Beneil Dariush vs James “The Texecutioner” Vick

Round 1:
The fighters traded punches in the opening minute until time was called when Dariush was poked in the eye. Action resumed and both men landed kicks. Dariush closed in and scored with two left hands, but he suffered another eye poke. The fight continued and Dariush landed a pair of body kicks. He dropped Vick with a left hand and unloaded with huge punches and elbows on the ground. Vick recovered enough to get back to his feet, but ate punches and knees on the way. In the clinch, the fighters traded knees. Dariush wobbled Vick with another left hook and floored him with a final left hand.

Winner: Beneil Dariush by KO (Punch) at 4:16 of round one. He improves to 13-2-0.

 

Jéssica “Bate Estaca” Andrade vs Jessica Penne

Round 1:
Andrade teed off with hard punches right away that backed Penne up against the cage. Penne broke free, but Andrade punched her way into another clinch. Penne countered with two knees, but Andrade cracked her with another combination. More hard shots landed for Andrade and she kept Penne pinned against the fence. Penne threw more knees in return, but her face swelled up from Andrade’s power punches. Penne landed a body kick and tried for a takedown, but Andrade backed her up with punches again. Penne landed a one-two, but Andrade dropped her with a lengthy flurry to the body and head as time expired. 10-8 Andrade.

Round 2:
Andrade rocked Penne with another hard flurry to the body and head in the second round. Penne fell to her back, but Andrade refused to go to the ground and waited for her to stand back up. Andrade blasted her with more punches and easily shrugged off a takedown attempt. Andrade landed dozens of rapid-fire punches to the body and head until the fight was finally waved off.

Winner: Jéssica Andrade by TKO (Punches) at 2:56 of round two. She improves to 14-5-0.

 

Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres vs Cole “Magrinho” Miller

Round 1:
Caceres dropped Miller with an early left cross, but Miller recovered and he scored two takedowns. He took Caceres’s back, but Caceres turned into Miller’s guard and dropped elbows from the top. The fighters stood and Caceres landed a solid body kick. He followed with a head kick and stunned Miller with a flurry. An uppercut and a left cross backed Miller up against the cage. Caceres caught a kick and dumped Miller to the mat. Back on the feet, Caceres landed punches to the body and another head kick. He took Miller down again before the bell. 10-9 Caceres.

Round 2:
Caceres rocked Miller again with more punches in the second round and he threw him down to the ground. Miller stood and walked Caceres down, but he was unable to land anything significant and Caceres effortlessly countered with quick combinations and trip takedowns. He mixed things up with punches and side kicks in the final two minutes. 10-9 Caceres.

Round 3:
Caceres kept the pressure on with punches in round three and he took Miller down once again. Miller battled back to his feet and he secured a takedown into back control against the cage. Miller locked on a rolling armbar that had Caceres in some trouble, but Caceres managed to pull his arm free and the fighters returned to their feet. A bloodied Miller failed with a takedown attempt, but he became more aggressive in the striking exchanges. Caceres cracked him with two uppercuts and tried for a takedown. Miller took top position and worked for a rear-naked choke in a scramble, but Caceres made it to the bell. 10-9 Miller.

Winner: Alex Caceres by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 12-8-0, 1 NC.

 

Undercard Fights:

– Sean “Tarzan” Strickland defeated Tom Breese by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 18-1-0 with the win.

– Luis Henrique “Frankenstein” da Silva defeated Jonathan “Johnny Bravo” Wilson by TKO (Punches) at 4:11 of round two. He improves to 11-0-0 with the win.

– Kevin “King” Casey and Elvis “The King” Mutapcic fought to a Split Draw (29-28, 28-28, 28-29) after three rounds. Casey moves to 9-4-1, 2 NC, while Mutapcic is now 15-4-1.

– Marco Polo “El Toro” Reyes defeated Dong Hyun “Maestro” Kim by KO (Punches) at 1:52 of round three. He improves to 6-2-0 with the win.
