Charles “do Bronx” Oliveira vs Myles “Fury” Jury

Round 1:
After an exchange of strikes on the feet, Oliveira scored a takedown and he quickly transitioned to back control. Jury tried to spin free, but Oliveira kept him in place. Jury eventually stood and Oliveira jumped into a guillotine choke. Jury had nowhere to go and tapped out.

Winner: Charles Oliveira by Submission (Flying Guillotine Choke) at 3:05 of round one. He improves to 21-5-0, 1 NC.

 

Nate “The Great” Marquardt vs C.B. “The Doberman” Dollaway

Round 1:
The fighters traded leg kicks in round one and Marquardt sidestepped a big right hand from Dollaway. He landed a body kick and Dollaway circled away. More kicks landed for Marquardt and he stayed on the outside. Dollaway hurt him with a lunging left hook and followed with more punches, but Marquardt recovered. He fought off a takedown attempt and landed a hard right hook and a knee. Close opening round. 10-9 Dollaway.

Round 2:
Dollaway pressed forward aggressively in the second round, but Marquardt floored him with a massive right hook. Dollaway collapsed to the mat and the fight was waved off.

Winner: Nate Marquardt by KO (Punch) at 0:28 of round two. He improves to 34-15-2.

 

Valentina “Bullet” Shevchenko vs Sarah Kaufman

Round 1:
Shevchenko struck from a distance with leg kicks and quick punches in the opening minute. The fighters clinched against the fence and both women landed knees. Shevchenko took Kaufman down, but Kaufman scrambled and the fight returned to the feet. Shevchenko landed a liver kick and threw Kaufman to the mat. She scored with left hands on the way up and followed with another liver kick. Kaufman dropped down for a heel hook, but Shevchenko escaped and took her back on the feet. More knees were exchanged in the final 40 seconds. 10-9 Shevchenko.

Round 2:
Shevchenko opened the second round with lead right hands and the fighters clinched once more. Shevchenko broke free and landed a spinning back kick to the body. She followed with knees and elbows in a clinch and prevented Kaufman from taking her down. Shevchenko threw Kaufman to the mat and the fighters exchanged punches on the ground. Back on the feet, Shevchenko landed a spinning backfist and a knee. Kaufman attempted a takedown and the round ended in a clinch. 10-9 Shevchenko.

Round 3:
The final round began with Shevchenko reversing a takedown. On the feet, Shevchenko flurried with punches and mixed in knees in a clinch. She took Kaufman down, but Kaufman battled back to her feet and secured a much-needed takedown of her own. Kaufman struck from side control with elbows and forearm strikes. Shevchenko prevented her from passing to mount, but Kaufman threatened with keylock attempts and more elbows. She mounted Shevchenko and dropped punches before the bell, but Shevchenko swept and stood up before the bell. 10-9 Kaufman.

Winner: Valentina Shevchenko by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. She improves to 13-1-0.

 

Tamdan “The Barn Cat” McCrory vs Josh “Anqa” Samman

Round 1:
McCrory countered a leg kick by taking Samman down right away and he pinned him against the fence. Samman secured a trip takedown of his own, but McCrory attacked with an armbar and a triangle choke from his back. A scramble ensued and Samman wound up on top again. McCrory took his back and transitioned from a rear-naked choke to another armbar. The fighters traded punches before the bell. 10-9 McCrory.

Round 2:
Samman took McCrory down in the second round and McCrory used an omoplata to sweep into top position. He briefly took Samman’s back and then dropped big punches and elbows from Samman’s butterfly guard. More hard shots landed for McCrory and Samman countered with elbows from the bottom. McCrory worked for a kimura in the final seconds. 10-9 McCrory.

Round 3:
McCrory scored a takedown in the final round and resumed striking from top position with punches and elbows. Samman tried to stand up and McCrory kept him pinned down. Samman eventually secured a sweep, but McCrory immediately locked on an omoplata and then a triangle choke. He tightened the triangle and Samman was forced to submit.

Winner: Tamdan McCrory by Submission (Triangle Choke) at 4:10 of round three. He improves to 14-3-0.

 

Nik “The Carny” Lentz vs Danny “Last Call” Castillo

Round 1:
Lentz clinched early on and landed two knees, then followed with kicks to the body. Both men landed hooks and Lentz reversed a takedown by throwing Castillo to the mat into side control. Castillo stood and Lentz jumped into a guillotine choke. Castillo eventually escaped and Lentz locked on another choke. Castillo broke free and attempted an arm-triangle choke. The fighters stood and Lentz landed punches and knees. Castillo fired back with a three-punch flurry and Lentz took his back before time expired. 10-9 Lentz.

Round 2:
Hard right hooks were exchanged in the second round and Lentz remained the aggressor. He landed kicks to Castillo’s body and backed him up with combinations. A one-two and a body kick from Lentz allowed him to set up a takedown. Castillo stood and Lentz threw a grazing knee. He jumped into another guillotine choke and Castillo wound up on top in side control. Lentz scrambled up and the fighters traded punches. 10-9 Lentz.

Round 3:
Lentz countered a leg kick from Castillo by landing more punches and knees in the final round. He briefly took Castillo down and continued to pressure him on the feet. Castillo scored a takedown and escaped from a guillotine choke. The fight returned to the feet and Lentz overcame two eye pokes. He walked Castillo down and punches to the head and body. Castillo countered with a brief takedown, but Lentz stood and battered him with punches. He landed a body kick late in the round. 10-9 Lentz.

Winner: Nik Lentz by Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 28-7-2, 1 NC.

 

Cole “Magrinho” Miller vs Jim “The Beast” Alers

Round 1:
Stiff jabs and leg kicks were exchanged in the opening minute and both fighters scored with quick one-twos. Miller landed a nice right hand and Alers responded with one of his own. Miller countered a lunging right hand by backing Alers up with another one-two. Alers struck from a distance with leg kicks and single right hooks. Miller cracked him with a left hand and landed a slashing elbow before the bell. 10-9 Miller.

Round 2:
Alers opened round two with more leg kicks and the fighters traded big punches in an exchange. Time was called when Miller was badly poked in the eye. Miller could not open his left eye at all and the fight was stopped.

Result: No Contest (Accidental Eye Poke) at 1:44 of round two. Miller moves to 21-9-0, 1 NC, while Alers is now 13-2-0, 1 NC.

– Francis “The Predator” Ngannou defeated Luis Henrique “KLB” Barbosa de Oliveira by KO (Punch) at 2:53 of round two. He improves to 6-1-0 with the win.
