Beneil Dariush vs Jim Miller

Round 1:
Power punches were exchanged in the opening minute and Miller backed Dariush up with a combination. Miller countered a takedown attempt by dragging Dariush to the mat with a kimura. He quickly transitioned to a triangle armbar, but Dariush pulled his head out. He took top position and looked for an arm-triangle choke, but Miller countered with another triangle attempt. Dariush remained on top until the bell. Close round. 10-9 Miller.

Round 2:
Dariush took Miller down in round two and he worked again for an arm-triangle choke. Miller scrambled and locked on a guillotine choke. Dariush escaped and he mounted Miller within seconds. Miller gave up his back and Dariush attempted a rear-naked choke. When Miller rolled over, Dariush tried for an arm-triangle choke. He landed punches and attacked with more rear-naked choke attempts after Miller turned to his side. 10-9 Dariush.

Round 3:
Dariush secured another takedown in the final round and he immediately mounted Miller, who fought his way back to half-guard. Dariush looked to set up an arm-triangle choke and he passed to side control. Dariush mounted Miller again and Miller gave up his back. He stood up and tried to slam Dariush off, but Dariush remained tight on his back. He continued to try for rear-naked chokes in the final minute, but Miller survived and he unsuccessfully attempted another slam before the bell. 10-9 Dariush, if not a 10-8.

Winner: Beneil Dariush by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 11-1-0.

 

Ovince “OSP” St. Preux vs Patrick “Durkin” Cummins

Round 1:
St. Preux landed kicks early on, but Cummins ducked under one and took him down. St. Preux stood and Cummins threw him down again. St. Preux got back to his feet and he landed a hard knee to the body. Cummins avoided a spinning back kick and suplexed St. Preux to the mat. The fighters stood and both men landed hooks. St. Preux shot in for an ill-advised takedown attempt and Cummins punished him with hammerfists. Back on the feet again, St. Preux floored Cummins with an uppercut. He dove in with hammerfists until the fight was waved off.

Winner: Ovince St. Preux by KO (Punches) at 4:54 of round one. He improves to 18-6-0.

 

Gian Villante vs Corey “Beastin’ 25/8” Anderson

Round 1:
Anderson opened the action with body kicks and Villante responded with a series of hard kicks to Anderson’s lead leg. Villante followed with more kicks, but Anderson fired back with a nice combination. Villante punished Anderson’s legs with kicks and went high with a head kick. The round ended with Villante landing more leg kicks. 10-9 Villante.

Round 2:
Villante spun Anderson around with leg kicks in the second round. Anderson landed punches in return and the fighters traded short uppercuts in close. Villante countered Anderson’s combinations with powerful leg kicks, but Anderson managed to land some solid left and right hooks. Villante kicked away and Anderson’s leg and Anderson jumped in with a flying knee late in the close round. 10-9 Villante.

Round 3:
Anderson jabbed in round three and Villante connected with an overhand right. He flurried with punches and finished with a hard leg kick. Anderson resumed jabbing and he mixed in occasional kicks. A flying knee to the body and a pair of quick combinations scored for Anderson. Villante fought off a takedown, but ate a left hook. Seconds later, Villante badly rocked Anderson with a looping right hook. Anderson stayed on his feet, but stumbled against the cage and Villante teed off until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Gian Villante by TKO (Punches) at 4:18 of round three. He improves to 13-5-0.

 

Aljamain “Funk Master” Sterling vs Takeya Mizugaki

Round 1:
Sterling landed an early body kick and a right hand before clinching against the fence. Mizugaki took his back, but Sterling turned into the clinch and the fighters battled for position. The referee separated them and Sterling landed more kicks, but Mizugaki clipped him with a counter one-two. Sterling got Mizugaki down and hopped on his back. He finished the round with two looping hooks on the feet. 10-9 Sterling.

Round 2:
Sterling took Mizugaki down again in round two and he landed more kicks when the fight returned to the feet. He tripped Mizugaki and jumped on his back once more. Sterling worked for a rear-naked choke throughout the final two minutes, but Mizugaki defended until the bell. 10-9 Sterling.

Round 3:
A kick-punch combo from Sterling opened the action in round three. He took Mizugaki down and transitioned to back control again. When Mizugaki spun to escape from a rear-naked choke attempt, Sterling locked on an arm-triangle choke from the bottom. Mizugaki had nowhere to go and tapped out.

Winner: Aljamain Sterling by Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) at 2:11 of round three. He improves to 11-0-0.

 

Undercard Fights:

– Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means defeated George “The Silencer” Sullivan by Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) at 3:41 of round three. He improves to 24-6-1 with the win.

– Diego “DB” Brandao defeated Jimy “The Kid” Hettes by TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at 5:00 of round one. He improves to 19-10-0 with the win.

– Chris Dempsey defeated Eddie “Truck” Gordon by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 11-2-0 with the win.
